Can someone tell me How do you say in Korean?
Hi:
Hello:
Bye:
How are you?:
Fine:
Well:
Not well:
You are pretty:
you suck!:
You're cute:
can someone tell me? I want to say it to my friend Joahann (srry, i cant remember how to spell his name) but it is pronounced Yohan. Hi: (Informal) Ahn Nyung 안녕 (Formal) Ahn Nyung Ha Se Yo 안녕하세요.
Hello: Same as above or if you're saying "Hello?" then it would be Yeo Bo Se Yo 여보세요
Bye: (Informal) Same as Hi (Formal) (when they are leaving) Ahn Nyung Hee Ga Se Yo 안녕히 가세요.(when they are staying and you're leaving) Ahn Nyung Hee Ge Se Yo 안녕히 계세요.
How are you?: (Informal) Jal Jee Nan Nee? 잘 지냈니? (Formal) Gun Gang Ha Shut Su Yo? 건강 하셨어요? **These are more like a yes or no questions**
Fine: (Informal) Guaan Chan Ah 괜찮아. (Formal) Guaan Chan Ah Yo 괜찮아요. **These answers are for questions such as "Are you okay?"**
Well: I think it would be the same as Fine
Not Well: Just stick "Ahn 않" in front of the answers from Fine
You are pretty: (Informal) Nu Ee Ppu Da 너, 이쁘다 (Formal) Ee Ppu Shi Nae Yo 이쁘시네요.
You suck!!: I would have to say startlight's answer is the best... Well, there are Korean swear words but I don't use them so I won't teach it to you...
You're cute!!: (Informal) Quee Yup Da!! 귀엽다!! (Formal) Quee Yeo Oo Shi Nae Yo 귀여우시네요. **I don't think you say "You're cute!!" to your elders though... I don't recommend using my answers for "You're pretty" and "You're cute"
**Note that there are many different Korean answers that are possible.**
**Also, if you want to make things formal, (in some cases) you can just say Yo 요 at the end of sentences.**
