So today is my 22nd birthday.

My roommate gave me a gift card to a book store and a big chocolate chip muffin.

Burger's got some secret plan waiting for me tonight. I couldn't get any details out of him or anyone. But I'm sure I will be thoroughly surprised.

Have you ever had a surprise thrown on you? Was it successful? Do you like celebrating birthdays? Discuss. Or just ignore my questions. It doesn't matter to me. ^_^

Surprise parties make me think of that Mad TV skit where the couple walks into their house, it's all dark and stuff, and they start fighting and saying truly horrible things to each other, and then one of them turns on the lights and all of the would-be surprisers are all sitting there like..." eek "

I hate Mad T.V.
There are too many tastless jokes against people and stuff.
Dosn't make you say, "Man, people who make these jokes must be really black-hearted."?

Only ever had a surprise part once that I can remember. And I barely remember it.

MadTV is hilarious. Just catch it after Michael McDonald joins the show. I think that if they were really that "black-hearted", they wouldn't have black people and other minorities on the show to begin with. It's all in good fun.

As for the supposed trap: Go for it, I say. You never know until you take a chance. Even if it's something small.

I had to go on a scavenger hunt for all my gifts. There were little clues I got to help me find the gifties. So much fun! I ended up getting a pretty set of D&D dice, a BNL cd, and a red Swingline stapler (like in the movie Office Space). I also got a cake (complete with 22 candles) and a copy of the KH2 soundtrack (the soundtrack came from another friend).

Aw ... well, Happy Belated Birthday, Blossom! I'm sorry I missed it. Gaia was not functioning for me yesterday while I was trying to get on.

I am not a big fan of surprise parties. But the scavenger hunt idea is pretty cool! Huggles! heart

I got my friend pretty good the other weekend for her birthday. ^_^ At the restaurant, you could order an entire birthday cake, so yes. I did so discreetly.

Did they come out and sing a stupid birthday song in a foreign language?
