In a world where the entertainers of the world--musicians, stage actors, magicians especially--are celebrated and their talents coveted, things such as , thievery or other such habits are regulated and inhibited generally by The Guard--a kind of police or law enforcement created by the new monarchs of the kingdom.

As a result, the high society, composed of those called Entertainers or Performers, have become vastly popular and the arts are concentrated upon more than other aspects of life. Other things are still done, but entertainment is where the wealth is.

Magicians can foresee to a degree what a child might end up as in their life, using their many magical talents and mediums. General peace has lasted since nearly six hundred years ago, when war skirted the Kingdom's borders.


When a young woman who is a first year graduate of the Academy of the Pantomime arts witnesses the of four other entertainers, she has to try and help the guards catch their er as they continue to kill many very famous performers.

Unfortunately, most of The Guard cannot understand a mime's way of communicating, and our e, Luisa, cannot speak to tell them(A mime's Oath of Silence) it is gonna be very difficult to catch the er.
