I like it, the red and the other red.
But I think your shades are a little odd looking, and maybe could use some SHINE!

THIS NAME IS NOT SMART I like it, the red and the other red. But I think your shades are a little odd looking, and maybe could use some SHINE! If you look at the bigger versions, there is a faint glow to them...

The wires look really good. They show the distance.

The wires have a nice effect, but the alien thing person does not.
Really not. >>
I think the piece would have had a better effect if he was taken out completely. And to tie in the red sun you could make but one wire also red.

((Is it ok to post if I'm not member yet?)) Yeah, we like posts from nonmembers. I don't think I can remove the character there though, because the idea of the picture is to communicate a sort of longing for what's above the wires, you know? Without the figure it'd be... you know, a neat picture of nothing in particular I think. I do sort of agree that he is not effective at what I am trying to do with him... I am considering replacing him but not so much removing.

i dont mind the figure being there, although i dont like his design. but the big solid mass of black at the bottom isn't really working for me compositionally.
i think it's warping some of the depth and size ratios. it might be better if the ground line started closer to wear the figures feet were.
as for conveying the feeling in you dream, you could choose a perspective, from an ants eye view or a bird's eye view.. which might accentuate the feeling of height and the separation between earth and sky...just a thought

It makes the wires look lower to the ground, and it's just all around unstylish. But I am a big fan of the 'camera angle'. I think the dood just needs to be rethought.

Hey, I'm really glad about all of this input. I think that I'll try and incorporate some of your ideas and make a 2.0 version.

I'd definately go with the ants eye view.
If you're going to make a 2.0, I'd love to see lines that look like they're coming towards the camera. (Not that you'd really be able to do this with a bottom->up perspective... unless some of the wires go into the ground. owo!)

Oh man..I can't believe I viewed this like 5 times and only now realised that the black box was supposed to be there and not my computer only loading half of the picture! whee
