I know saying this is alittle cliche but, "why not?"
I'd have to say the greatest movie ever is the 2005 movie by Joss Whedon "Serenity" which follows the crew of the cult hit Firefly
BROWNCOAT POWER!

If I were to play favourites...
My two favourite movies in general would have to be American Beauty and O Brother Where Art Thou?.
My favourite Japanese movie would most likely be...um, I'd have to say the Godzilla franchise in general (with the exception of the recent films...shudder). I did grow up on the stuff. Oh! And the new Gamera films.
Favourite Chinese Movie? Tai Chi Master.
I adore Tim Burton and all he has done, yes that includes Planet of the Apes to an extent.
Favourite comic book movies would definately have to be Hellboy, Ghost World, and V for Vendetta. The Batman films fall under the Tim Burton category, although Begins was also amazing.
Horror movies I love would have to be Jacob's Ladder, Blair Witch Project and The Exorcist.
Oh yes, and I'm going to be seeing Silent Hill when it comes out. Will my list have for the first time ever a video game movie? Time will tell.

My friend (Ratci on GAIA) introduced me to it. I'm a big Kevin Smith fan, personally. However it saddens me that most kids my age do not know that the origin of Jay and Silent Bob lies not in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back but in Clerks (which is my personal favorite.)
I also like The Maxx and Niagra, Niagra!.

Hollywood hasn't produced a good movie in four years, at least. The last half-decent movie I saw was The Sixth Sense. The Back to The Future trilogy, The Rock, Air Force One, and Armageddon are definitely worth seeing.

I believe every movie has it's own awesome, or totally rubbish traits. Even Lord Of The Rings had some flaws. So, I tend to like certains 'parts' or 'special affects' from movies. But, there's one that has stuck with me, and that's The Fifth Element.

My personal favorite is Hidalgo smile They did a great job on it, there weren't that many complicated special effects, and the ones that there were the producers did incredibly smile
