Taking her morning constitutional, or walk as others would call it, Plea as she prefers to be called was lost in thought.

The last week has been a flurry of activity in the area of her home, the others who lived closed by and those in the village have decided to have a celebration of love. To her this was asinine, who needs love anyway? To her it was a wasted emotion one that so far has not fit into her life. She has seen other of her kind be happy and settle down but for her it seems out of her grasp. She has accepted it although reluctantly at first.

Sighing deeply, she took in the frigid air, and it rejuvenated her, helping her clear her thoughts and continue on with her walk. Although Winter still was about the air hinted at the change that would be coming in a short few weeks. For her this was a time of change, rejuvenation and cleansing of not only the home but the soul.

Her thoughts began to betray her for she knew she could never love another in any way but then her long lost brother appeared. At first, Plea refused any contact with him. She chased him from her presence and home on more than one occasion but Astraeus proved to be hardheaded and stubborn to the point of madness!

Since she was a foal she wished for a sibling, one who could keep her company and protect her from things she was afraid of. As she grew, she came to realize she could only rely on herself, and she did so with ruthless abandon. Those around her would whisper whenever she was near and quite frankly this amused and hurt her at the same time. She did what was necessary to survive, and the others looked down on her for it. She did not have the luxury of growing up with the support and love of a family she had no one and she had to do it all alone.

Quieting her thoughts a sudden noise caught her attention, stiffening she smelled the air and drew back her ears. Someone or something was very near her and to her it was danger. Taking a few steps back, her body tense she allowed herself to calm and focus on what to do next. Listening intently, she heard the soft thuds on the hard dirt as something was walking, not silently either. Looking around as if nonchalant she noticed a flash of color not too far ahead of her on the same path as her. The colors seemed familiar to her, and she shook her head. He would not dare!

On a delightfully frigid morning, Astraeus awoke did his usual yawn and stretched his legs out and sighed. His body was warm and his belly empty. He decided he must find some food; a sudden craving of fresh berries caught his attention. It was cold but there still should be some not too far in the woods it was a decent walk, and he could get some exercise, and he searched for his breakfast.

Heading off he saw his neighbors starting their day in various ways. Setting up their stalls to sell and or barter their goods, others purchasing what they needed, and some were just walking around enjoying the fresh cold air as if they had no care in the world. He chuckled to himself and turned to head off in the direction of the large woods near his home.

Humming and genuinely enjoying the weather his mind began to wander as he took in the beautiful scenery that began to appear before him. The flowers that remained were covered with ice and look iridescent, the plants the same. The large and tall trees were bare without their leaves but still were magnificent. The ground beneath his hooves were covered in dried leaves and made a crunch sound as he walked, the sound was pleasant to him. A small animal darted not too far in front of him, pawing at the ground and then ran off. He couldn't help himself he let out a loud laugh. "Little fella must be hungry as well" he continued on the well-worn path that led deeper into the woods. He knew this area well, as he was often here.

Lifting his head his senses going on alert, someone else was nearby. Sniffing the air he stepped back and he immediately became defensive. Looking around he didn't see what had set his senses in overload, but he knew someone was there. As if they were hiding. A familiar scent drifted towards him on the cold air as the wind was coming towards him not away, and he suddenly relaxed. A small smirk forming on his lips, he thought to himself "Plea, she will so pleased to see me this morning"

Deliberately taking his time, he moved towards where he knew she was hiding pretending as if he had no idea she was there. The closer he got the more pronounced the smell became. He saw a small berry bush almost directly in front of where he knew she was hiding, and he slowly bend down and began to munch on the thick, delicious berries. He couldn't help himself he let out a small sound of satisfaction as he ate. A sound came to him as if a stomp of a hoof or two. He bit on his lip to keep from laughing loudly, he knew she was getting angry and to him it was music ot his ears. His sister was not one for patience nor family bonds, but sooner or later she would trust him. Until that day he was going to aggravate her as much as he can just to let her know he was around.

Lifting his head he looked right at her, her face was almost hidden among the thick foilage, he said "Plea I know your there, stop hiding like a foal and come out. These berries are delicious" Right on cue he heard a derisive snort and hooves stomping on the cold dirt. He laughed hard and loud which only caused more snorting and stomping.

Plea knew she was caught, and she sauntered out from behind the foliage and glared at him. "What are you doing here? You know I walk this way every single day! Why must you aggravate me?" Her eyes were darting back and forth, her head swaying with the movements. She was very agitated, and her brother was the cause. Ever since he came into her life, he has been a constant disruption.

Without thought, Astraeus stepped closer and looked right at her. His words were soft but meaningful. "Whether you like it or not, I am your brother. It is true I was not there for you when you were young, we did not grow up together. You relied on yourself when it was my job to protect you, I failed you then but will not now. I am here now and sooner or later you will come to understand I will always be here for you. You may not realize or understand that I love you, you are my sister. I look forward to the day you will understand that, and I will await that day until it comes just know I am at your beck and call sister"

Plea felt trapped, she stepped back and shook her head. Thoughts flooded her mind in all directions, coming so fast she couldn't keep up with them. Without a response she turned and ran as fast as she could to get away from him, the thudding of her hooves and heart soothing her anger, her breath coming out in a steamy mist as the anger and fear guided her.

OOC: This will be an ongoing rp I plan to add to, this is just the start. The dynamic between these siblings is one I want to explore and hopefully resolve.
