- Originally hailing from London, Nigel was born the fourth child to the Pendleton family, a notably wealthy family within English society. With finances never being of concern, all that was ever expected of Nigel and his siblings was that they not do anything that would disparage the family name. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your outlook), as the youngest child, Nigel's parents had their hands plenty full managing the lives of his other siblings, allowing the quiet young lad to keep to his own devises. While other children spent their time running about and playing, he shut himself away in his family's vast library, systematically working his way through the many shelves that lined its lengthy walls.
As Nigel continued to grow, so too did his love for literature and poetry. Of course, wanting to stay in his family's good graces, he made sure not to let his other subjects slip, dedicating himself to academic excellence. Though not much could be said about his social life (or lack thereof), he was at least able to graduate from secondary with top marks, all but ensuring his choice of university. However, while it certainly would have been convenient to attend a university in his own backyard, Nigel saw education as means of getting outside the bounds of his family's influence and giving himself a fresh start. As such, he ultimately made the decision to hop across the pond and continue his academic pursuits in America.
While his undergraduate degree went smoothly enough, it was during his pursuit of his master's degree that the stresses of higher education began to truly wear at his psyche. Seeing this, another student in his department made the suggestion that he check out the world of full dive MMOs. While Nigel had never been one to indulge in video games, the escapist immersive experience did certainly have its appeal. And so, he began his research into the world of MMOs and eventually found his way to Tales of Three, the most anticipated title of the year. Sure, it was a bit pricey but having earned some good will with his parents through his academic excellence so they were willing to indulge in this whim. Thus, once the long awaited title dropped, Nigel suited up and dove into the world of Tales of Three.
