*Mahanon, Lunar Guardian* "A lesson in runes will do you right...come" Mahanon lead the way to his home. Mahanon's manor was exactly on the lake shore. In the distance one could see servants working around the home. Two gardeners. Two maids and two chefs. "Khalfani...I'm shocked" Mahanon teased as the two conversed on the way to the home. "Khal, welcome to my families home...well...just my home now" Mahanon said at first with a smile but then smile had faded. The tinier elf lead the way to the manor. "Mahanon, home so soon? Well lunch is already prepared for you. Dinner is already being started. Make sure you and your guest take your shoes off, I spent the entire day cleaning, young man" An elderly elf woman sharply scolded Mahanon. Clear she was the head maid of the manor. "And you, young man; Do not leave this house without a bite to eat or I'll come find you myself" The elderly woman then scolded Khalfani then. Mahanon gave a nervous laugh. "Yes, Lady Silva. We understand" Mahanon said smiling sweetly to the elderly woman. The elderly woman left a gentle pat on Mahanon's cheek. The elderly woman followed the two closer to the home. "Lady Silva, tell everyone they're dismissed for the rest of the day" Mahanon commanded the women. Mahanon stood in the entry way of the home. Taking off his booties and placing them on the rack with the rest of various footwear. Lady Silva looked to Khalfani sharply. Making sure he followed suit of Mahanon. Making sure he placed his shoes neatly on the rack. If look's could kill? This elderly woman would've already murdered them. "Don't forget to eat, I always know" Lady Silva said picking up his cane and gently poking Khalfani's stomach. Mahanon gave a sweet laugh as Lady Silva finally left the two alone. The head maid gathered the rest of the house staff telling them they were dismissed for the rest of the day. "That was Lady Silva, she was my nanny. She raised me all my life. That cane tap to the stomach? Yeah, she's claimed you as her grandson now. No getting out of it now" Mahanon laughed a bit as he lead the way further into his home. Mahanon stopped in the kitchen. A spread of various sandwiches and smaller snacks were put out. Mahanon shook his head crossing his arms. "Why they still make this much food for only me still baffles me. Well, you heard Lady Silva. Grab something and we then can be off to my study" Mahanon said gently picking up a sandwich. Mahanon looked back to Khalfani and gave him a warm smile. "The High Mothers shadow...is where I walk"

✭✭✭ The entire walk to Mahanon's home had Khal feeling a bit nervous. He did his best to hide it behind a smile, but even he wasn't that confident in his own act. It was just that he had never shared anything about his mark with anyone other than his sister so this was all new to him. Even so, Khal decided to do his best to be positive about the experience.
Upon arriving at Mahanon's home Khal was taken with how lovely it looked. You'd think after working in a castle nothing would impress you, but that wasn't true. Khal was a simple man who could admire luxurious but wasn't one for showiness. Mahanon's home was lavish without being over the top, which Khal thought fit the man quite nicely. As they walked in Khal's eyes continued to take in his surroundings until an elderly woman approached him with a stern voice. He was a little shock at the sudden command to take off his shoes and to eat, but in the end it left him chuckling. The elderly woman reminded him a little of the elderly woman he enjoyed cooking with at the castle, but her sternness made Khal feel like she could be the elderly version of his sister. "I believe I can comply with those terms. Who am I to go against your household rules when you've warmly welcomed me here?" Khal responded as he removed his shoes and placed them near Mahanon's. "Besides, being a servant myself I understand the annoyance of having to touch up an area you just cleaned."
It was honestly kind of weird for Khal to be in a position where a servant was tending to him since he himself was of the same position. Being who he was, he felt the need to offer something in exchange for the woman's kindness but he knew that this was simply her job.
Before she took her leave the woman who Khal learned was named Lady Silva tapped him with her cane and once again reminded him to eat. He shot her a smile and nodded as she walked off. Once she was gone Khal turned all of his attention to Mahanon who mentioned that Khal was now basically her grandson now. "I never imagined adoption would work in such a way," Khal joked as he approached a plate of cookies and took just one. "I actually don't recall when the last time I ate sweets was. I make them all the time for the royal family, but haven't taken the time to prepare any for myself." Khal then took a bite of the sweet, chewing half in his mouth and holding the remain portion in his hand as he followed Mahanon to the study. "If you don't mind me asking, why do you call her Lady Silva? I've just never seen someone address their servant as a lady before. It's quite noble in my opinion." ✭✭✭ ═━┈┈┈━═ ✭Khal's Love Interest: I'm not sure if I'll ever find love... ✭Khal's Wearing: Black pants, work boots, belt, and a white loose long sleeve shirt

*Mahanon, Lunar Guardian* "A lesson in runes will do you right...come" Mahanon lead them to towards his study. Finishing his lunch as he walk, the lunar guardian clapped his hands together. Brushing away the crumbs that remained. Hearing Khalfani's questioned made Mahanon's ears perk up a bit. "Oh~ Lady Silva is a retired Solar Warrior" Mahanon said opening a door for them to walk through. Leading the way, Mahanon brushed his hand across the stone wall. A rune shined and all the lanterns began to light up with flames. Showing a stairway leading downward. Mahanon slowly descended down the steps that lead to the study. Each step he took another lantern would erupt into flames. Lighting the way. "All Father Abba had to practically beg Lady Silva to retire, and when she did my parent's hired her as my nanny" Mahanon laughed a bit further solidifying Lady Silva's stubbornness. "Even in her old age, I've seen Lady Silva take up sword and shield. She is still very much a lethal enemy to those who oppose her" Mahanon laughed a bit. The two finally came to the end of the stairway and stood before a door. Placing his hand on the door, a set of runes shined. The sound of locks unlocking filled the stone hall. Now pushing the door open, Mahanon revealed his study. It was exactly what you would expect from someone of his knowledge and caliber. The study was filled to the brim with books, tomes, scrolls and texts. All filled with vast amounts of knowledge of runes and their history. In the center of the room was a massive sketched rune that sat in the middle of the floor. The rune had complex markings and sketches. To the side of the study was a table and a few chairs. The table was covered in books and scrolls. A few candles for extra light if needed. Welcome to my study. sorry for the mess" Mahanon said a bit shyly as he blushed. Mahanon walked over to the table and began to stack the books and scrolls to make more room for him and Khalfani. Once done, Mahanon sat in one of the chairs. "The High Mothers shadow...is where I walk"

✭✭✭ "Really? A Solar Warrior?" Khal said upon discovering Lady Shiva's past. It honestly didn't surprise him to hear how she didn't retire without a fight, while Khal didn't know her well he could tell she had a firey spirit. He then followed Mahanon out of the ktichen into a long stone hallway with a rather large rune on the wall. The symbol caught his eye but before he could ask about it Mahanon's gentle hands brushed it. As soon as he touched the rune it shined and one by one flames began to spark within the lanterns on the wall. "That is certainly useful," Khal said as he continued to walk behind Mahanon. "Honestly I believe Mari will be much like Lady Silva when she grows old. She loves the sword as much as a drunkard loves the tavern," Khal commented with a chuckle as they neared another door.
This door also has its own set of runes on it that looked very different from the one he previously saw. This indicated that their purpose was vastly different, but it wasn't until he heard Mahanon's magic unlocking that door that he realized that they were for security purposes. "Seeing all the runes in your home makes me wish that I was taught more about them. While runic knowledge tends to be passed down from elf to elf I was not granted as many lessons in the subject. I am aware of a view, but have never used any myself," Khal admitted as the door slowly creaked open.
Stepping into Mahanon's study, Khal almost couldn't believe how much text filled the room. There was information that seemed both ancient and new everywhere around them. He imagined that it would take years to actually go through everything written within the room, and even longer to master any lessons being taught within the texts. "Wow. You certainly all a man of knowledge after all. I don't think I've ever seen one more passionate about runic history."
Khal approached one of the nearby shelves and ran his finger across the spines of some books. "Many of these works even look quite beautiful. You must take good care of them. Any collector would be jealous of the library you have formed here," Khal said with a smile before turning around to face Mahanon again. "And please, no need to worry about the appearance of this place. It is all impressive to me." Khal then joined Mahanon at the nearby table, sitting across from him with his typical warm smile. The longer he sat though the more his cheeriness seemed to waver. More nervousness was setting in as he imagined what would come next.
"So... I suppose we should get down to business... correct?" Khal said as he cleared his throat and shuffled uncomfortably in his seat. It was almost cute to watch a man as big and strong looking as Khal act in such a shy way. "The mark that causes me all of these issues is on my chest, because of that I usually never take off my shirt in front of others. No one other than my sister and those who placed this on me have ever laid eyes on it... I know this must sound silly but I... I am pretty nervous to be revealing it to someone else. I can't even bring myself to look at it at times. I fear that it is too unsightly since the runes that make up the mark aren't traditional. You'll see what I mean..." Khal said as he took many awkward pauses to try to ease his racing heart. He was telling himself mentally that it would all be fine. That Mahanon was there to help. "Please just... Don't touch it without warning... I can't... It brings back memories when I feel pressure on it." In that moment Khal looked weaker than every before. The pain in his eyes was clear and his voice came out incredibly shakey. It was so out of his character to seem so depressed like this. Khal tried his best at all times to appear content and happy. He'd smile for no reason and always talk in a relaxed tone, but now he looked like a giant puppy who has just been kicked.
Without saying anything else Khal slowly stood up and grabbed the edge of his shirt. Taking in a deeo breath he started lifting the soft material over his head until the white garment was completely off of his body and on the ground. His torso was essentially solid muscle, proving that Khal was anything but the physically weak man he pretended to be. On his chest, over his right peck, was the horrible mark that he was there seeking help for. It was pitch black and took up the vast majority of that area. What was strange about his mark was that it was made up of multiple runes, none of which were the more traditionally known ones. No, these runes were very old and very sinister. They were ancient runes of demonic origin.
Perhaps even more shocking than the old demonic mark on Khal though were his scars. He had many smaller scars scattered across his torso, back, and arms, scars that warriors typically received, however, one was particularly nasty. Starting at his chest and going down into his upper rib cage was a huge scar that had to come from more than just training or a typical fight. It was clear that however he had obtained that scar must have been a near death experience. ✭✭✭ ═━┈┈┈━═ ✭Khal's Love Interest: I'm not sure if I'll ever find love... ✭Khal's Wearing: Black pants, work boots, belt, and a white loose long sleeve shirt

*Mahanon, Lunar Guardian* "A lesson in runes will do you right...come" The Lunar Guardian smiled as Khalfani took in his study with wonder and awe. It truly was a sight to behold. So much history, knowledge and power was housed in this very study. Mahanon tilted his head as the much taller dark elf finally sat with him. Then the sudden change that was creeping within Khalfani finally surfaced. Mahanon couldn't speak. Nor did he think he could in this moment. Mahanon watched as Khalfani nearly exposed his true inner feelings to him. Within the very walls of this study, Khalfani exposed himself to Mahanon. Mahanon's eyes widened at the sight of Khalfani removing his shirt. The rune was one thing to Mahanon, but the very scars that riddled and covered Khal's body was another thing. Mahanon's has only seen a scared body like this on battle veterans. Mahanon stood up slowly then. The tiny Lunar Guardian was fighting back tears and the sheer force of breaking down emotionally. Mahanon could literally feel the pain and sadness that was radiating off of Khalfani's body. Mahanon swallowed slowly. Mahanon stepped a bit closer to Khalfani. The guardian's silver eyes taking in the very sight that was before him. Khalfani was so fit, so scared and beaten. Even through all of this, there was still this charming factor Khalfani had. "Khal...." Mahanon spoke gently yet shakily. The lunar guardian froze for a moment. Mahanon needed to get control of himself. He had too. Taking a deep breath and a soothing sigh, Mahanon looked back up to Khalfani. His silver eyes meeting the taller mans eyes. "I will do everything in my power...to help you, I promise this with my life" Mahanon said nodding his head to him. Mahanon slowly looked back to the rune on his chest. It was complex. Extremely complicated yet there was a rune master's beauty to it. Tilting his head adorably yet inquisitively, Mahanon stepped a bit closer. Leaning forward, Mahanon's face was close to the rune on Khalfani's chest. Mahanon gave a hum then. As if something came to his mind. It's rather large...rather gaudy..." Mahanon said quickly turning away. The tiny dark elf scampered towards the table. Shuffling through the stack of books that was there. Holding one up he used his other hand and brushed it again'st a rune that was sketched on the table. The rune shined and the book began to float over it. It's pages violently turning and then stopping to a certain chapter. Mahanon was rushing around his study in a studious fury. Several books were floating around Khalfani and the table. Each book opened to different chapters. So you're a half demon...is your sister also half demon?" Mahanon called back to Khalfani. Mahanon was on top of a massive bookshelf. Tossing books left and right. Luckily through the magic of the glowing rune in the center of the floor, the books were floating safely in the air. Mahanon smiled as he found the book he was looking for. Elegantly flipping into the air and landing like a feather, Mahanon smiled as he turned and walked back to Khalfani. Those runes? They originated from the very first elven house that defected to the demon kingdom all those years ago. From the very first dark elves themselves!" Mahanon stated in a scholars joy. All the levitating books began to circle around Mahanon and Khalfani. Mahanon's eyes darting back and forth between each and every book. "The rune..it's drawing power from your demon genealogy. You're alive...thankfully, because your demon genealogy it thrives and recovers from pain, anger, sadness....despair" Mahanon said as he stopped and focused on one book. Mahanon was now back to rushing around his study. More books were floating around. Mahanon was yelling across the study. Asking Khalfani questions to better understand him. At this point, the study was barely visible due to the floating and flying books. Mahanon scampered his way back to Khalfani. Well, Mahanon had to push his was through the cloud of books. "Khal!" Mahanon said happily with a giggle then. As he emerged from the cloud of books, Mahanon's hair was pulled into a sloppy top bun. "After locating it's origins, defining it's position and style, studying what rune's it was weaved with...." Mahanon said in his super nerd mode. Mahanon caught himself and blushed as he looked to Khalfani. "Well...uhm..I...uhm. For now, I formulated a rune. A rune that will not only stave off the effect's of yours...." Mahanon said looking to the rune on Khalfani's chest. "It will also stopped them from taking so much from you.....until I find a way to remove the rune from you..." Mahanon said shyly to Khalfani then. Mahanon closed the book he was holding and held it close to his chest. Resembling a school nerd as he looked up to the taller dark elf. "The High Mothers shadow...is where I walk"

✭✭✭ Khal studied Mahanon's face as he watched the smaller man look at his body. He had a feeling that it would all be a shock to him, and he was right. He could see Mahanon's kind heart got the best of him as he felt sadness for Khal and he never wanted to cause that. "I apologize if seeing this unsettles you. That's one of the many reasons I keep this hidden away," Khal said with a sympathetic look, now feeling guilty for bringing Mahanon into his problems, but to his surprise Mahanon's mood quick switched. As he analyzed the mark it seemed like he was growing more enthusiastic which actually helped ease Khal. He still felt his heartbeat speed up at the man grew closer, however, his cheery look made Khal truly feel like everything was going to be ok. "Thank you again for helping me. As I said before, I will be in your debt for this."
Then Khal noticed a little spark in Mahanon's eyes. It seemed like something clicked in his head before he turned around and started using magic to shuffle through a millions books at once. Before Khal knew it the room was swarming with flying books and he had to duck and weave out of the way so that various texts didn't knock him out. "This is perhaps the most intense study session I have ever witness," he commented as he stood back and watched Mahanon at work. Khal wasn't sure if Mahanon realized it, but he looked quite lovely when he worked. His focus admirable, and his expression clearly showed his passion and drive. Wtaching him so hard at work made him laugh a bit, but not in a mocking way, more so out of amusement than anything. He is perhaps one of the most interesting men I have ever come across, Khal thought before Mahnon broke the brief silence with a question about him, or more so a realization.
"No, Mari is nothing like me. Thank goodness for that," Khal said with a sigh before leaning against a nearby shelf. "But you are correct in guessing that I am half demon. I figured it would be obvious once I showed you my mark, I just didn't know how to put it into words. It's a long story but to summarize my mother fell in love with some demon noble after having Kamari. I was the product of their affair which ended with him returning to his kingdom to marry a noblewoman and my mother raising me with her husband, Mari's father." The story had a lot more complexities to it than Khal made it sound, but he figured he could go into it another time if Mahanon was still interested. Plus he was still confused about what the truth was himself. He only knew what his family had told him and they tended to twist the truth to their benefit.
Just then Mahanon seemed to find something and shared what he learned with Khal. Since the mark was put on him Khal knew it was ancient, but he didn't know exactly how old. Part of him couldn't believe that the runes on him were so old that they originated from the first ever dark elves though. It made him wonder how those in his cult even knew them, and why not teach all of the members how to use them? It's unreliable how much of a mystery my own family is to me. Mahanon then went on to what the runes were drawing power from, which Khal had suspected all along. "Mari and I figured as much. They always were obsessed with demons," Khal responded, realizing that he had yet to even explain who "they" were to Mahanon. He already knows so much, I might as well tell him. He should know what he is getting involved with before this continues. But just as Khal went to speak Mahanon came rushing back over to him with more energy than ever and with good reason.
Mahanon revealed that he believed he could place a rune that would temporarily counteract some aspects of his mark until he figured out how to remove it. The news was just too good to be true and so Khal was left speechless. After all these years of searching for something, anything to help him, now he finally had some progress. "I... You can do that!?" Khal said, now getting nearly as excited as Mahanon. "You truly are something special Mahanon. You have not idea how long Mari and I have been trying to-" He stopped himself. No, I can't get carried away with joy yet. If Mahanon puts that rune on me my family will know something is wrong. This will not end peacefully.
"Mahanon," Khal said softly, placing a hand on the grey haired elf's shoulder, "Nothing I say or do will every express how grateful I am to you. Not only have you been accepting of me, but you have been so kind to offer me help. I know that this might put you in a troublesome position. You are a Lunar Knight sworn to the throne and I am technically a liar to that throne. I worry that this could put your job at risk, but even more so I worry that your life will be put at risk." Khal's eyes darted from Mahanon's to the floor, a sign of hesitation, before looking back up at him. As he stared right into his grey orbs he said, "It wasn't just random criminals who did this to me. These people are a small but powerful cult of dark elves. They desire nothing more than magical power and so they have spent generations worshiping and making deals with demons. And I know this because... I was one of them. The people who put this on me are my and Mari's family. With that being said, there is still a lot I don't know about them. They were always good at keeping secrets. However, I do know that the more power they obtained the more unstable they all grew to be. I fear that if they discover that you were the one who cut them off from their power source that they will kill you, and I couldn't bare to see that happen. So as much as I want this, I can't let you blindly enter my mess. I will understand if you don't want to get further involved." ✭✭✭ ═━┈┈┈━═ ✭Khal's Love Interest: I'm not sure if I'll ever find love... ✭Khal's Wearing: Black pants, work boots, belt, and a white loose long sleeve shirt

*Mahanon, Lunar Guardian* "A lesson in runes will do you right...come" The Lunar Guardian blinked as Khal placed his hand on his shoulder. Mahanon's eyes saddened as Khalfani began to explain his story even further. So, this is much deeper than being tortured. Being tortured and used by the one's who are supposed to be your family. It cuts and wounds even deeper than a random group. Mahanon slowly raised his hand. Hesitating, Mahanon gently placed his smaller hand on Khalfani's cheek. Mahanon gave a small smile to the taller dark elf. "I do not fear death, My sight is clear" Mahanon said sweetly to Khalfani then. "Besides, you're not the only half demon that resides within the castle's walls" Mahanon said smiling as his hand fully cupped Khalfani's cheek. Demanding he kept his attention to Mahanon's eyes and face. "I made a promise to you, I intend to keep that promise. Even if it takes my life. You deserve a fair chance at life. Just as everyone else does. You shall have it. As long as I draw breath. I promise" Mahanon smiled sweetly to Khalfani as he expanded on his promise from before. Mahanon slowly pulled his hand away and took a few steps away from Khalfani. Mahanon tilted his head with a small scholar's smile. "I won't remove the rune. I will just be rearranging the runes that make the massive one on your chest. My order, will place them in inverted positions and switching one with another. Allowing you to feel little to no pain from when they begin to draw on your for power. The most you will feel are slight pinches. Or tufts of pain as if you were hit by a cane. In their new positions, they will not be able to draw as much power from you as they have previously been doing. Giving them smaller access to your pools of mana and will" Mahanon said crossing his arms then. Mahanon had an eerie yet enchanting aura as he explained his task to Khalfani. In the somewhat dim candle lights of the study, Mahanon still radiated a studious allure. "In the meantime, It will buy me sometime to figure out how I can remove the rune entirely from your body. It's been awhile since I've been faced with such a challenge when it comes to runes" Mahanon continued to speak to Khalfani but clear he began to trail off into his own mind. "The rune is extremely complex and well structured. It does seem to be laced with laced with your demon genealogy enforcing it's defenses against being removed. It's quit genius. But with the right sequence of weaving and....." Mahanon was full on rambling to himself. Clear his mind was curating several formulas for a way to help Khalfani. Mahanon blinked as he noticed what he was doing. Blushing shyly Mahanon giggled looking back up to Khalfani. "S-sorry...I tend to get lost in though..I'm sorry..." Mahanon said shrugging a bit then. Mahanon sighed and gave a small stretch. Whenever you are ready and willing. We can begin. Just say the word, my dear" Mahanon smiled adorably to the taller dark elf. "The High Mothers shadow...is where I walk"

✭✭✭ As Mahanon's hand slowly neared him Khal's eyes locked on to his movements. He didn't stop him, but still seemed to be on guard as the man's hand came in contact with his face. It wasn't until Khal felt how light and gentle his touch was that he let out a sigh of relief and allowed himself to relax more. The words Mahanon then spoke caused his eyes to widened with shock. He could hardly believe that there were others with demonic blood roaming the castle freely.
All his life. Khal was made to believe that tensions between the elves and demons were so high that a creature such as him would never be welcomed here. Or perhaps that was just more lies, Khal thought as he recalled other manipulations from his family. "I guess I might have assumed too much based on too little information. I feel like such a fool. I still have the old habit of trusting those that I shouldn't. Or maybe I was just too much of a coward to admit that I... was this," Khal said as he motioned to himself. "I don't like lying to others Mahanon. It unsettles me. If you think that it might be wise to share the truth with the crown then I'll consider it. I don't want to come across as abusing their kindness after all." At this point Khal felt like Mahanon was probably the most trustworthy person he knew besides Mari. He had essentially revealed everything to him and still here he was, unafraid. And even so I have doubt. Maybe I am just horrible... This man has done nothing to make me question him. So why do I feel like this? Is it just my own fears clouding judgement? Khal thought as Mahanon made his promise.
"Maybe you have more hope for me than I do for myself Mahanon," Khal replied as Mahanon's hand slipped away from his cheek. He stepped back and explained the process of what he'd be doing to Khal. If experience has taught him anything it was that messing around with his rune was no easy ordeal. Anytime Mari had tried to make alterations to it in the past it caused some... undesirable effects.
With that in mind Khal silently nodded and looked over at the nearby table and chairs. "I think I will sit for this if that is ok with you. Just in case things get a little difficult."
Mahanon then seemed to go off on a bit of a tangent and started rambling off more details on his mark, which lead to Khal laughing. "Forgive me, I know this isn't very professional. You are just incredibly cute when-" and just like that Khal's own words had him flustered. "N-No that's not what I... I mean... You are... Um... Your passion for this work is simply incredible. That's all," he said as his purple/grey skin grew darker around the cheeks.
Clearing his throat, Khal quickly switched topics. "If it is alright with you I think I might sit for this. In the past when Mari tried making alterations to my rune it didn't go so smoothly. It might be better if my body is in a more relaxed position." Khal then approached the nearby table and sat o one of the chairs beside it. He was honestly feeling less nervous than he thought he would, in part because of Mahanon's pleasant presence and the other part being that he was used to pain. If this did hurt he knew he'd be able to push through it. "Alright, let's begin shall we? And Mahanon, if things start to happen, I want you to know it's ok. Meddling with my mark has proven to be dangerous in the past so if you see me in pain just block it out and keep going. The only time I'd want you to stop is if I were to... unleash some of my power. While I usually can control it there are times where my emotional state can compromise that control. So if you feel an overwhelming darkness please stop and protect yourself."

*Mahanon, Lunar Guardian* "A lesson in runes will do you right...come" Mahanon's face grew bright and warm. Mahanon blushed as he was called cute. He felt butterflies in his stomach. Mahanon gulped a bit and nodded his head then. Seeing Khalfani sit down, Mahanon walked closer to him. Khal was so much taller even when sitting he was taller than Mahanon. Mahanon sighed and nodded his head then. "Khal, I'm going to touch you now...okay?" Mahanon warned gently to Khalfani. Raising his hand, Mahanon hesitated once again. Taking a deep breath and soothing sigh, Mahanon's small hand rested gently on Khalfani's chest. Mahanon's open palm was cool yet warm. Feeling his mana and will surge through his body. Mahanon began to work on the rune that was positioned on Khalfani's chest. "I'm sorry if I am hurting you....I am almost done.." Mahanon said sadly to to Khalfani. Watching the gentle giant cringe and give slight cries of pain made the luanr guardian sad. Gulping heavily then Mahanon nodded his head. "Almost done, I just have to readjust these last two" Mahanon said with a shaky breath. The rune on Khalfani's chest was glowing violently. A near blinding light filled the entire study. Working the last bit of his magic and knowledge, Mahanon switched the position of the last smaller runes that made the bigger rune. Inverting one and tilting the other. With that being done, Mahanon stumbled back and fell to his knees. Panting heavily and catching his bearings. "Done...wow.....that was...harder than I thought..." Mahanon sighed as he started to catch his breath. "A-are you....alright?" Mahanon sighed as he slowly looked up to Khalfani. "The High Mothers shadow...is where I walk"

✭✭✭ Khal sat patiently as Mahanon appraoched. He wasn't sure what the effects of this would be, but he figured the worst that could happen was it didn't work. Taking another deep breath in, Khal let his body relax. He was glad that Mahanon was considerate enoygh to ask him about touching before just rushing into it. With the heads up Khal was able to better prepare himself, so he nodded. "Whatever needs to be done," he calmly replied.
Khal then watched at Mahanon's hand pressed softly against his chest. His breath hitched a bit and he shut his eyes, but he didn't tell him to stop. The nezt thing he knew he felt a warmth spreading throughout his chest. It started of feeling comforting, but the longer thr process went on the more intense it grew. It went from feeling like sitting by a warm fire to being in the fire. Inside Khal was screaming but he tried to hold it in as much as gs could to not frighten Mahanon. Every so often mixtures of grunts, groans, and gasps escaped his lips as a few small tears trickled down his face.
"I'm... fine..." Khal gasped out as Mahanon apologized for the pain he was feeling. Just then Khal felt a shift with in him. His powers were slipping out. The air around him felt heavy as Khal's powers fed on his own pain. "No... Stay down..." Khal whispered to himself as he gripped the arms of the chair so hard that they started to crack.
Luckily it was only a few moment longer until Mahanon was done. As the last adjustments to his rune were made and locked in place Khal felt like his heart skilped a beat and he felt a weird surge of energy travel throughout his body. His eyes shot open just as Mahanon was stumbling back, revealing their true state. Instead of being the usual brown he had learned to keep them as they were now their natural bright color with cat-like slits for pupils. Slowly, more of him started to change as well.
He groaned more as his black wings with talons ripped out of his back and two dark horns curled out of his forehead. He tilted his head back as a low growl-like sound escaped his lips and it was easy to see that even his teeth wrre now altered. They were razor sharp, fang like inn nature. His muscled tightened even further to the point where he looked like he was nothing but pure muscle. In this state he definately looked predatory.
During his transformation it seemed like all the light left his eyes. Only saddness, dispare, and pain remained. It wasn't until all his features came full in that he snapped out of his strange state and seemed to return to his usual state of mind. "I... That was... I feel different," Khal said as he looked down at his own body, now noticing some of the changes. Immediately his eyes widdened as he looked from himself to Mahanon. "I'm sorry! Usually I can control when this happens but under crrtain circumstances... I just..." Instinctually his large black wings wrapped protectively around his body, shielding most of him from viee. As they curcled around him like a blanket they knocked over the hair he was once in, leaving him looking k**e a standing cocoon.
While wrapped up Khal clumsily tried to back away but ended up tripping in an almost comical way. He ended up bumping into a book case, sending multiple books tumbling down. " Sorry! Sorry!" Khal kept saying before stilling himself. Once stable one of his wings moved ever so slightly to allow one if his eyes to peak through. That eye locked onto Mahanon and continued to stay on him as Khal asked, "Are you ok?"

*Mahanon, Lunar Guardian* "A lesson in runes will do you right...come" Mahanon sighed as he was finally started to catch his breath. Slowly standing up, Mahanon took a second to collect himself. Mahanon studied Khal's appearance. Mahanon watched as Khal stumble around and fumble around the mass amount of books. Mahanon laughed adorably to Khal. "For being as big as you are, you're rather clumsy" Mahanon giggled to Khal a bit then. Mahanon slowly walked closer to the much taller dark elf. Mahanon studied him closely. Mahanon was clearly fascinated by Khalfani and his current demonic form. Mahanon went to speak but the grandfather clock in his study began its loud dinging. Mahanon looked to the clock and sighed then. "We've been at it for sometime now...it took longer than I theorized..hmmmm" Mahanon said aloud. Sounding somewhat annoyed but more so at himself than anything else. "But I actually rearranged the runes, slightly reworked it's functions. I'm curious how much longer they'll try to siphon more power from you" Mahanon said as his hand rested on his curvy hip. Strands of hair falling form his neat top bun. "But you in this demon form...is extraordinary. I can sense the difference in magic levels in you...but I can also still sense the elven magic in your veins.." Mahanon said as he was having yet another one of his scholar brain fart fits. Mahanon realized he was rambling on and blushed as he stopped talking. "I'm so sorry...ignore me...." Mahanon said adorably flustered. Clearing his throat a bit and giving a small sigh trying to hid hid his blush, the lunar guardian nodded then. "How are you feeling? Tired? sick? hungry? Aroused? Do i need to make any adjustments? I just performed an entire ritual all on my own, based off of pure theory" Mahanon asked smiling to Khalfani looking him up and down. "Although it already appears you're already fully recovered or just about...incredible...I'm jealous" Mahanon said smiling to Khal. "The High Mothers shadow...is where I walk"
