Three sets of soft footsteps could be heard shuffling through the otherwise barren corridor. Queen Saya gracefully rounded a corner, bare feet padding quietly along the wooden floors but her scaled tail dragged behind her with a nightmarish sound. Her right hand was intertwined with Naoki's, whose clawed feet clicked in an uneven and stumbling gait. Walking on the other side of the reanimated corpse was the current leader of the Lycans, Hibiki Mori. He walked carefully, hating the sound of his own claws tapping the floor.

"Your Highness, if I may ask what it is you wished to discuss?" Hibiki hated the silence, but hated even more looking upon the former Lycan Alpha in her current state. Her reanimation was unnatural, and it broke every tradition the Lycans had for their late Alphas.

The Queen let out an annoyed 'hmph' at the Alpha's impatience but answered him anyway. "I need you to keep a rein in on your Lycans. When they hunt in areas you told me were safe to pass, it is disrupting the Elven Trade Routes and is putting the peace treaty in danger."

Hibiki frowned. He had figured that would be the topic. "I'll mention it to them, my Queen, but you know how young pups can be. They see it as fun to be defiant and don't realize they're considerably stronger than the Elves." He chuckled as if he were speaking proudly of a child. "Why can't the Elves use the Port to travel? It may be a longer route, but it's also, ya know, not cutting directly through Lycan Hunting Grounds." Saya gave an exasperated sigh. At least one person understood what she was aiming for.

"Yes, that is exactly what I have told them, but the Elven Matriarch refuses to listen for whatever reason. So stubborn, even as his people die from their foolish endeavors." Naoki groaned, seemingly in agreement to the Queen. Hibiki looked away from the two, ears lowered.

"Is that all you request of me, Your Highness?" The Alpha was growing anxious to depart. The Queen nodded, also feeling ready to be rid of company.

"You are dismissed, Hibiki." Giving his parting, Hibiki wasted no time in retreating in the direction they had walked from. The Queen and Naoki continued on into the Private Chambers at the end of the corridor.
