"I've had Tiny the longest," Lara said as their journey soon lead into the forest. "I was there when he and his brother were born. They lived near where no friends of mine live. Somehow everyone just managed to get along," Lara explained, deciding not to get into the details about her 'friends' since she didn't want to reveal that they were hidden fae people. "I hit it off with Tiny right away. He's actually the runt between him and his brother so you can only imagine how big he is. Tiny has a way better attitude though. He was a little shy as a cub but quickly grew to be really friendly. He is honestly like a big puppy sometimes but I don't think he likes it when I say that. As for Allura, she came only only a few years ago. I was doing a bit of traveling and came across this small town that had rumors about a demon dog that attacked people at night. I decided to investigate a little and found out that the demon dog was actually not a dog but a hurt, scared wolf. That wolf being Allura. Her pack had been hunted and killed and she was pretty hurt. The whole experience for her was very traumatic so naturally she became pretty nasty towards people. She was just trying to find a way to survive. But people don't understand that. They see a creature acting a certain way and immediately label it as something such as evil, and now look at her. Allura may still be defensive but she is far from evil," Lara explained, her story lasting halfway through their travel.
Once Lara realized how long she had been talking for she said, "I suppose my talk of my friends is boring at this point. I can't help it when it comes to them. To others they are just animals, maybe pets, but to me they are family," Lara said just as Allura came up from behind her and gave her a loving nudge. "So long story short I was patient with Allura. She tried to rip me to shreads for many days before she would let me treat her wounds. After helping her out and feeding her she realized I wasn't a bad person. We parted ways for a bit but then found each other unexpectedly down the road. She still hadn't become a part of a new pack so I kind of formed one with me, her, and Tiny here. May adventures later we all got to be super close, but trust me those two hated each other for a long time. They still go at it every now and then," Lara said, wrapping up her tale a few minutes before they finally reached the Beastman kingdom.
"So here we are. It's been a long time since I've been here. I traded in their market a while back so that's the one area I clearly remember. Guess for now we should head there then? Maybe stock up on any needed supplies?" Lara suggested, but instead of waiting for an answer she began walking. It was clear she was used to doing things her way which is what happens when you spend most of your time alone.

Strider was enjoying listening to lara's story and didnt try to talk while she talked . She was glad to have met her and hoped that they could be good friends even if she was just passing through to get back to where she came from . " Yes , let's stock up on food and things here , maybe rest in a Inn too ? I bet Tiny and Allura could use a bite to eat as well ?" she replied to Lara trying to see where they would end up first .
Strider was glad to be in a town where she would not get thrown into a jail or dungeon and have no way of getting out . ( that was a long time to be in a dungoen ) ..... She kept walking with Lara and hoped that this town had friendly towns folk there.

It was one hell of a day, but the five had finally gotten to Itomori, the beastmen kingdom. Inari remembered the towns, considering he grew up here. Well, not exactly here, but a few ways off into the fields, there was an orphanage that he had lived in all his childhood, being beaten, trained, and forced to learn certain things. Still, he learned a lot and if it wasn't for them, Inari wouldn't have taken the step needed to get out of that place. Walking with the two women, he listened in on Lara's story about Allura and Tiny. They were pretty good animals. It made Inari think that maybe the two aren't that different from people. They are just as much happy, sad, worried, and loved Lara just as much as people did. Even the beastmen are just as much the same as all of us. That's something that Inari learned in his scholar work when he began to wander with Kamui. It was a nice story.
That all changed, when Inari had been grabbed by the arm when he least expected it, and was brought into an alley way with three big men who obviously looked pretty mad. Inari knew that he could take them on, but wanted to know what it was that these people wanted. Right before he could say anything, a hard fist crash landed on the side of Inari's face, causing him to fall to the floor. Getting picked back up by one of the men, he was struck again. After all this time, you think it's okay to show your damned face back here? You owe me a great deal of money, you small s**t! That was all that was said to him, before being swiftly punched hard in the stomach. He staggered, and was brought on his knees coughing up badly.
Hehe, was that all? The nuns hit harder than you! He would taunt back at the thugs, before getting swiftly kicked down on his back. Shut up! You know damn well that all that gold was ours! And I better see you with the money right up front, and so far, I'm seeing nothing but a small thieving little s**t with no gold! The man would say, before picking up Inari. And if I see that no good two-bit criminal Kamui, I swear, I'll rip his arms out! Now where is that useless b*****d Kamui at!? He would say. That had definitely awoke something in Inari His eyes basically began to slightly glow a small bit of a reddish color. You don't get to talk that way about big bro! Inari said, delivering a hard headbutt to the man's forehead, causing him to stagger backwards. Inari then delivered a cross kick that sent the first thug flying and hitting against the wall knocking him out. Turning around, the other two thugs were fists up ready for Inari. Without any warning, Inari virtually disappeared, but reappeared right in front of them, with nothing but a look in his eyes so fierce, he had the intent to kill in his eyes. Inari would then deliver a rising kick to the chin of the second thug, before punching him away to backflip onto the floor. The third thug was shaky before Inari would pull out his dagger.
The thug was very shaky, hoping to not die today. Instead, Inari would quickly slice the man's pants off, revealing him bare for the entire market square. That moment, he ran off screaming for help, before Inari would sheathe his dagger. Hehe, weak assholes! Inari would taunt to the thug as he ran off. Letting off a deep sigh, Inari looked back wondering is Lara or Strider caught him. This would be a very awkward explanation.
Strider saw what had happened and rushed to help him out . " Hey ! pick on someone your own size dude ! Are you ok Inari ?" she replied to him and tried to help him out as she could . The market was a busy place and she hoped that she would not get lost or lose the others in the road . Strider was upset now and hated thugs with a passion . " What an idiot ! I should have used my magic on his butt !" she replied as they kept up the pace with Lara.

Lara was looking at a random cart selling some food before she heard Allura growling at her side. "What is it Allura? She asked before turning around to see that Inari and Strider were gone. "Well that can't be good," she said before taking off in a sprint. Between her and Allura's nose she was sure she'd find them.
With Tiny trailing behind them the three eventually found Inari and Strider. Lara arrived in time to see the last bit of the fight but before she could jump in the guys had taken. Inari seemed to ve doing surprisingly well. She wasn't sure if he was as talented as he said he was but here he was handling three thugs solo. After the last thug ran off with his pants destroyed Lara appraoched Inari. "I have to hand it to you. That was pretty cool... but you're still a little brat," she said as she gave Inari a little nudge. She had to admit that she was coming around. Both Stider and Inari weren't as bad as she thought. "But what did thise guys wanr anyway? If you had trouble waiting here you should have said something."
Oddly enough while Tiny seemed to be warming up to Strider Allura seemed to have an interest in Inari. The wolf hesitantly sniffed him, checking to see if anything was wrong, and once sge found that he was hurt she immediately took a few steps backwards to sit right at Lara's side. Seeing this display made Lara c**k a brow but she said nothing about it.

" Im sorry Lara , he looked like he needed some help getting rid of those guys and I ran to see if he was alright is all ." strider replied as she looked over at Lara and then back to Inari for a minute. She was breathing heavy from running so much and tried to calm down a bit as she stood there with her breath being labored like it was . She felt a strange wind blow about her and it blew her hair around as she stood there trying to think of what else she could say to Lara.

Guess he still had it in him, after doing that. Inari was used to fighting a ton of angry adults in his time. Whether it was from bad business deals to bandits, and even rogue soldiers. Strider came in at full speed trying to protect him, but missed all the action. Don't worry, Strider, next time I'll have some for you. He said with a smile on his bruised face. Right after that, Lara came in with her bear and wolf. Oh don't worry, next time I'll have a bag of popcorn waiting when you fight! Inari said with a huff, talking about a snack that doesn't even exist yet. When she asked what they wanted, Inari wondered if he should just come out with the truth. So yeah, I'm a thief. Back then, I used to gamble a lot, and pull off heists where certain people get screwed over and betrayed. Those guys were part of a group that tried to kill me and keep all the money for themselves, but I beat them to the punch... Literally. So yeah, I have people trying to kill me for money all the time. Inari admitted. He even pulled out a pouch full of gold coins from that fight earlier. See? Anyway, thanks a lot, Strider. I don't usually have anyone ask if I'm okay, so this is kinda new. He chuckled, before Allura would put her snout near Inari. He was still a bit cautious around her, but would freeze in place when she sniffed him and went back to Lara. Erm.... Anyway! So how about he go to the bar and get something to eat? My treat.
Strider smiled at Inari and replied " That sounds like a great idea ! I could use something to drink and a nibble of some juicy meat too. So Inari, you must be fast on your feet knowing that all stuff ?" She was glad to have met him and Lara both but wasnt sure what she should do about finding her companion animal yet.
" I hope that i can find a companion animal soon , it makes traveling fun with them around " she replied to Lara as she looked around at Tiny and Allura.

You'd think someone would be upset or startled to find out that someone was a theif, but not Lara. She actually was really calm about the whole thing. "I see, that makes sense. Have to watch out who you screw over, I learned that myself. I'm not exactly a thief but I have persuaded certain people that my potions and medicines are worth more than they actually are. There are some people in this would that can afford to lose a little gold, especially if their pockets are overflowing with it. Just don't get caught stealing from a royal or a powerful noble. I'm not saying don't do it, just don't get caught," Lara said with a small grin. Inari was actually starting to interest her more than she thought. "Guess Strider and I are going to have to keep an eye out for you though. Make sure you don't suddenly get stabbed in the streets. Since we are now basically bodyguards I suppose it is only fair for you to buy us something as payment," Lara said, using her own form of logic.
Hearing Tiny make a noise she looked back at him and pondered for a moment how she'd be able to get him in the bar. She figured that since this was the beastman kingdom maybe they'd be more flexible with animals entering places. In the past Lara had been forced to leave Tiny outside, but there had been incidents of people throwing things at him, trying to hunt him, or trying to steal him. As a result, she preferred to keep him close by. "Alright big guy. We are going to see what we can do about you. If you end up being kicked out I'm leaving Allura with you for protection you big softy," Lara said to Tiny as she gave him a quick pet.

Strider giggled at the thought of being Inari's bodyguard but thought that it would be an easy choice seeing as he did prove himself worthy to be a friend to her and Lara. " I cant wait to get there and relax a minute while we get our food and drinks " she replied feeling her feet hurting a bit from the little walk to Itomori .
As strider kept walking she heard a tiny meow coming from a bush nearby and decided to investigate it . " Lara , Inari come look at what I found ! " she replied in a alarmed tone . It was a litter of kittens without a mother and she picked up a small black and white one
.
She had found her companion and decided to name it Stardust . She was a tiny little thing and would need lots of tender loving care to grow into a big cat.
