- Eden, as a siren, has powers related to her voice. Her singing can influence people's emotions. She can also emit damaging sonic blasts with her voice, and mimic any voice she's heard flawlessly. In her siren form only, her songs are more powerful, and can have magical effects to them. She can entrance people in this state, though strong willed individuals are usually able to resist.
Unlike her aquatic cousins, Eden's siren form is winged, and involves her arms transforming into wings, and her lower legs into birdlike claws. Her body is light yet powerful, capable of incredible acrobatics in both forms, and flight in her siren form.
Eden also knows some wind magic. She mainly uses it to enhance her flight capabilities. If she sings a certain song while using her wind magic, it becomes more powerful.

- Eden, once a loud and cheerful individual, is a rather changed person from who she was before joining the Knights. She very much has a knightly demeanor, acting calm and honorably in most situations. She is also generally quiet and reserved, not seeking to stir up conflict. She tends not to show much emotion around her students, and comes off as rather strict in the classroom.
In any sort of non-professional situation, she can be rather stiff and awkward, though she'll often use humor as a way to deflect serious topics or just get through a conversation. She has a soft side for sure, but only let's it show once she's taken a liking to someone, and is confident that those amicable feelings are mutual. Around someone she is comfortable with, she becomes pretty affectionate. She has a tendency to spoil those she cares about, though she can get a little overprotective of them depending on the situation.
She avoids physical contact, and is prone to reacting violently if surprised. She has feels guilty for surviving her time as a Vanguard after seeing so many killed, and doesn't really consider her own worth most of the time.
History |
- Eden grew up in an orphanage in Silverkeep, but was a bit of an outsider since she couldn't control her powers. She would break glass when she cried, ripped up the furniture when she transformed on accident, and messed with everyone's emotions when she sang. She ran away at 14, and made her way to Queen Cordelia Academy to learn to control her powers. She received the help she needed, and learned that she was a siren. She began a great love of music due to her powers, and promised to form a band with some of her classmates. She realized she was transgender while in high school, but decided to stay closeted until after she'd graduated.
After graduating, Eden went off to study music at a university in Braela. She transitioned as well while in college, taking advantage of Braela's advanced magical and medical technologies. After returning to Aeston, she had a falling out with her friends over her transition and was kicked from the band before it began.
With her confidence in her musical abilities shaken, Eden was afraid of trying to form another band, or trying any other career in music. The only other skills she had were the combat skills she learned at QCA. Needing some way to pay the bills, she enlisted as a Knight. Eden worked with the Vanguard, and was assigned near a particularly active demon rift. She fought hostile demons regularly, and hardly left her post for three years straight. Due to her skills on the battlefield, she was reassigned to the Royal Guard. She worked in the palace for a year, but began having having nightmares about her time in the Vanguard. She was allowed to leave active service, though is still considered a reserve Knight.
After everything she'd been through, Eden hoped she'd be able to become a better musician through her pain. She wrote some new songs and tried to find a new band to perform with, but every time she got on stage, she found herself unable to sing. She gave up after a few months and began just writing songs for other bands. After a year, she found herself in a situation where she needed more money again. Not wanting to give music up entirely, she applied as a music teacher at her old high school, Queen Cordelia Academy.

- The runes tattooed on her back anchor some of the transformation spells used in her transition. If they are damaged, the magic becomes somewhat unstable, and changing between her siren and human form is extremely painful. She gets them touched up once a year.
Her Knight's Blade is an enchanted sword, capable of deflecting or enhancing magic.
Eden is still technically a Knight in the Royal Guard, and can be called upon by them if the need arises.
Her deadname is Abel. Due to her alumni status, it is a name that several in the school know. She considers being referred to by it as a serious insult.
