There’s a strange, bright star over the Kawani lands. It’s a rare sight, and legend has it that the star can grant a few select Soquili a special wish. Head up to the top of the hill, place a small offering on the altar, and make your wish. Is it a wish for love, a child, a friend or even someone long lost? Think carefully about your wish, however, as you only get to make one!

Restrictions Non-charmed skinwalkers cannot participate. Charmed skinwalker entries will not result in skinwalker familiars. You may use another person's pet or couple so long as you have their permission. This permission can be in the form of a lifemate agreement between their pet and yours, or a post in the Reference and Mockbreeding Permissions thread. You may use pets that are deceased IC. Reminders Please check to make sure you have been added to the list correctly. We will do our best to keep the list accurate and updated frequently, but mistakes do happen, especially when there's a high number of entrants. With this rule, we will no longer be rolling an additional slot for missed people (exceptions may be made depending on the circumstance, but they are just that: exceptions, and not the rule). Wishing Stars aren't breedings OOC, and colorists have more free reign with them. Additional breeds and traits may be added that the parents do not possess. Otherwise, all edit levels, breeds, and mutant traits can pass, unless otherwise stated. Prizes in Wishing Stars are considered semi-customs; thus, colorists are free to stream them at any time. All children granted will be considered a special gift from the Star and labeled as a 1st Gen Mockbreeding Child of the couple. However, you may still throwback to their mock parents' bloodline when entering them in normal breeding slots, even if it's impossible for them to be related by blood (e.g. the mouse Aislingl and flutter Diarmaid's kids - Taog, Eimhir, Drystan, Eimhir - can throw back to their nontraditional parents). IC interpretation is flexible. This means if a female mouse x male mouse win mice babies, they can say IC that it was born normally, rather than the result of a star. This also means rogue entries can claim they mated with a random character of the opposite sex, that it was a spirit child between them and another, or that it was a spirit child of them alone. However, it should not go against shop canon; if the female mouse x male mouse received a koi child and they see it as their genetic offspring, it must have come from the star or other spirits rather than being a biological birth. In addition, users are still free to use throwback references, regardless of whether the resulting child is considered canonically related or not.
Editing If you want to edit the list of usernames in the "Star-Spoken" and "Spirit's Blessing" category, or add or take away the RP/LM modifier, you must void your original entry and repost. You must void and repost if you change categories as well (for instance, pulling a "Star-Spoken" entry to enter a "Long Lost Family Member" instead). When you repost, state that you're voiding the previous entry; otherwise, you may be listed twice and disqualified. Any other aspects of the form may be freely edited at any time, without reposting. However, if you post an incomplete form, they will not be added to the list, and we will not be going back to check. You must repost to have your form counted.
Newbies If you have no pet in the shop, have no fear! You can receive permission to reference other people's pets in most categories. Alternatively, you may make up a human character in the Kawani setting and use that character to enter the "True Friend" category.

This wish for a child can be made by any who seek parenthood, whose intensity of feeling has been recognized by the star. If your wish is granted, the couple might find a special gift near their home one day.
Eligible: Relationships that have been roleplayed or LM'd (LM agreements can only be between soquili x soquili pairs or poly groups; agreements between soquili x familiars won't be recognized, as at present time there is no consequence or cooldown if a soquili x familiar LM is broken). If roleplayed, the thread must contain at least 10 posts or 1,000 words to qualify, and the thread must have been started prior to the starting time of this event. The roleplay must support the character's wish, whether it be a roleplay between two characters showing their bond (it does not necessarily have to be a romantic one, so long as they do not despise each other), or a solo roleplay where a character self-reflects on what it'd be like to be a parent (such as for rogue breeding entries). Eligible: Soquili or Familiar Result: Familiar Restrictions: Only 1st Gen non-mock breeding pets may enter the Long Lost Family category for non-descendants (such as siblings, parents, and aunts). Otherwise, it implies a breeding of one of the parents or other relatives that is likely owned by someone else, and may interfere with the backstories of their characters. Short IC Response: Azazel hadn't ever expected to find someone to love, to find someone he wanted a family with, to find someone who understood him and helped him grow. He had grown so used to his bonded and tending to her, that he hardly spent any time worrying or even thinking about himself. But Andromeda had changed that, had made him question his habits and urged him to try and alter his thinking for the better. Without Andromeda in his life, Azazel realized he would have never discovered his wish to be a father, to be with her.
He gazed up at the stars, the very things his bonded, Berith, and her family believed to offer power and guidance. He had heard them tell tales of powerful stars that granted wishes, and had he been the same, old parrot he had been before Andromeda, he never would have spent more than a second thinking about it, and would have brushed the ridiculous notion away. Yet, there he was sitting in the tree that he had met Andromeda in, praying to whatever spirits existed that they would give them this chance.
His feathered brow furrowed as he tried to speak to the heavens and couldn't piece the right words together. The stars were always looking down upon them, they had seen them together, seen them apart; the stars knew far more than what he would be able to muster in to words. He sighed softly, looking at his love's and his own feathers tied together between his talons, a symbol of their union no matter the distance between them, and then back up to the twinkling skies above. If Andromeda were here, she would have all the right words for such an occasion, he was sure of it.
"Please, give us this chance." It was all Azazel could think to say, but he hoped his prayer and offering would be enough to prove them worthy of the children they dreamed of having.

A light blue ribbon with a small star pendant attached to it. Short IC Response: Cobalt gazed at the sky. The wishing star had made it's appearance and it twinkled brilliantly in the night sky. The moon was at it's new stage so free of competition the star shone more visible in the winters sky. The air was hold and his breath shone in a puffy stream against the frosty air. He had no one to go home to and his den was especially lonely during this time of year. Cobalt looked at the sky, the pattern was similar to his birth families fur markings. He was suddenly filled with longing towards his family members. He put the ribbon he had kept close for so many years on a nearby rock as an offering for the sacred star. "Please let my sister come back into my life. We drifted further away due to circumstances out of our control . I would like to know that she is alive and happy. It had been an awkward courtship for the pair.
Due to the attack from the Yahn Weya goats about ten years earlier, the Ra'kari wolf pack was in dire straits: only five of their males had survived the sudden and brutal war, and only ten females. Isolated on their distant island, it was up to careful planning and plotting of how to reduce the amount of inbreeding in future generations while lacking any sort of way to reliably get more wolves, so far away from any sort of other civilization: For all they knew, they were all that was left of Wolves, and certainly were all that was left of Utloyi island wolves. They were the guardians of the island the top predator, and they were not about to devolve into a march toward Extinction without a carefully planned fight.
However, the two fell in love while picking up the pieces of their broken civilization. It wasn't forbidden, but it also meant that they'd have to find someone to breed with, and spend a couple years just being "Friends" so their kids wouldn't think of each other as siblings-by-adoption: Their species couldn't handle it.
Arr'Ooak, the mighty hunter, war hero, was terrified.
She loves Quakari, but now, that they were free to love, wasn't sure if the spirits would allow it
She instead set out an offering to the spirits of the Jungle under the light of the twinkling star, "Please.. PLEASE... Give me a sign that I won't run this"

Short IC Response: Margie tilted her head at the little acorn in her paws. It had been meant to be carved into a bird or something. Yet in her distraction, a new life had formed on its own. A soul had been calling out from the little knickknack and a baby mouse had formed in the birds place.
Her head tilted the other direction as she studied the baby mouse acorn. A touch of a smile formed on her lips as she realized how natural it felt. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to think of a brood of her own. She had become friendly with the fox travelor. A travelor whom made her smile for a whole different reason, one that made her cheeks and her stomach warm when she talked to him. He was nice and even if he left, would be kind about it.
Her thumb rubbed against the surface of the acorn in a gentle caress as she placed it on the shelf. She would not sell this knickknack with a soul. No, she would save it for something special. And if rumors were true, that specialness was just around the corner at the next new moon.

Two feathers are woven together: one pale blue, the other a deep blue Short IC Response: Isabeau flew inward landing perfectly as her clawed feet gently curled around the altar. Carefully, she placed the woven feathers of hers and Stars upon the flat surface. Puffing out her feathers she mused happily before her voice let loose with a cheerful song, "Oh star, wonderous star please I only get to see him once in a blue moon. Please grant my wish for little ones so his grumpiness washes away and he can be the perfect daddy bird. Hm, then maybe just maybe he'll accept the courtship of Dheneb & Celenduin".
Nodding her head she beamed quite happily then spread her wings to once again join Celenduin as he awaited the day he could fulfill Dheneb's promise. Someday, they would all be a happy family, she was sure of it. She just had to keep her claws crossed and feathers preened till then.
