Ava has the mutant ability to manipulate the earth around her. Ava can remove mass chunks of the earth from the ground and use them as projectiles or shielding by moving and lifting them. One experienced enough she will be able to ride a boulder as a way of transporting herself.

Character's Bio:
Ava was only 5 years old when her father, a retired NYPD officer was killed in a very early mutant attack. She witnessed the tragedy up close and personal. A victim of senseless violence and collateral damage. Ava's mother did her best to support her as a single parent, working job to job, doing what she could to provide her the best life within her ability. One thing Ava saw often was her mother's outward hate towards mutants for the death of her husband. When they weren't at school or work, Ava's mother would take her to anti-mutant rallies and show her hate and true colors. Years of growing up next to such hate seeped into her own life. For years she kept it to herself all throughout her high school years, encountering more than her fair share of mutants coming out and facing the brunt of their exposure. As they were shamed, beaten, and left for dead, Ava did nothing but watch, maybe even occasionally spitting on what was left.
Her hatred carried over into her new profession, life wearing the badge and upholding the law against criminals, and most importantly mutants. She works best when given mutant related cases because they fuel their drive to see families wronged by the atrocities put to justice. Her dedication and commitment to the force earned her the rightful place of detective within the ranks.
