The morning rush the bakery usually experience is long gone. It is the middle of the day. This is the time when more people are buying pastries, something they can eat inside the bakery or carry with them as a snack for later. The krapfen that she made yesterday went over so well with her patrons that she decided to do it again. It is simple to make because she gets to cook leftover dough shaped into circles. However, she decided to fill these krapfen with in-house raspberry jam to see how people will respond to it. Of course, she tasted the krapfen from the first batch she made before allowing the rest to be sold just to make sure it is tasty. After instructing the bakers on how they are to fill the krapfen with the jam, she made her way to where the patrons are walking around her bakery and began chatting with some of them. Soon it was a young lady's turn, Nephthys, to meet the bakery owner. Just by looking at her, Roselyn can tell the poor girl is hungry and needs something filling to eat.
"Oh dear. You must be starving. Is there anything you see that like to have to fill your stomach?"
Nephthys could feelt her cheeks turn pink when Roselyn pointed out how obviously hungry the teen was. She nodded. She'd decided after staring at the cinnamon rolls for so long, she'd have one. She also noticed the krapfen Roselyn had just put out "Yes please. One of those.... and one of those as well. "she stated, as she pointed to each item in turn. She began digging through her bag for her coin purse as the baker set off to fill her order. She looked around at the light flow of customers with the warmth of the day pouring in the shop window around them. "Alright here today, Miss? Doesn't look too too overwhelming. Hope they haven't been overrunning you today. " The young woman set her coins on the counter for the baker to tally in exchange for the warm dough goods. In spite of herself, she had to wipe a bit of saliva from the corner of her mouth as the smell of the fresh cinnamon roll was freed from the case and moved to the paper Roselyn was wrapping it in.

The young lady pointed out two things that she wanted to eat. One of them was the krapfen, the other a cinnamon roll. This one certainly has a sweet tooth and an appetite to satisfy. Roselyn made her way around the counter and grabbed some parchment that will be used to wrap up the cinnamon roll and the krapfen separately. The first thing she wrapped was the cinnamon roll, although she was careful in doing so that the frosting is not totally lost. The same thing happened with krapfen shortly afterwards. As she was wrapping both pastries, the young lady commented on the state of the bakery, particularly how busy it is. This is nothing compared to the morning rush, and even if she were that busy, she is already used to it. Since the young lady is definitely hungry, she did not wrap the cinnamon roll completely. Part of it remained exposed, so she can eat it without dirtying her hands. After Roselyn accepted payment from the young lady and handed her the baked goods, she replied,
"All this is normal for me. If you were here in the morning, you be surprised that I haven't gone insane yet. However, I am running this place as smooth as it can be and it is always rewarding to see my patrons happy with what they buy, which I hope the same thing happens to you."
Despite her hunger, she did nothing to seem irritated or impatient with the baker as she collected the requested items. It wasn't as if she'd have the time to do so, even if she'd wanted to, however, as Roselyn was experienced enough to be swift and efficient in her movements. She had just enough time to return her coin purse securely in her bag before the other female was handing over the baked goods. The teen lit up like a child on Christmas morning whenever she grasped the warm pastries in her hands and immediately bit in to the exposed part of the cinnamon roll before Roselyn could even finish her statement about hoping the girl would be a satisfied customer. Once she'd properly chewed and swallowed the large bite she'd taken, she responded with "I have never been disappointed by you before. I can also assure you I'm very happy with this" she held the roll with one hand and the smaller krapfen in the other and was using the hand with the smaller pastry to bob toward the larger one in an attempt to point at it. This was to emphasize her point before the hand with the smaller item went back under the cinnamon roll to support it's weight as she bit in to it again. After her second, smaller bite, she was assured the hunger was starting to be satisfied and decided now would be a good time to head on with her day and not bother the lovely shop owner any further. "It's perfection. Just what I needed. Anyway, I won't keep you. Thank you again"She bowed her head and upper body as another 'thank you' before turning to leave the shop. She looked like she was going to attempt to push the door open with her elbow, but thankfully a gentleman on his way in beat her to the punch and opened the door from the outside, allowing her to exit. She had taken a third bite of the gooey treat while leaving so her 'thank you' to him was very garbled and she was sure he was laughing at her as she left but too wrapped up in her sweet treat to care about it, one way or another.

Once again, Roselyn's baked goods have impressed the young lady named Nephthys. While she is happy that she has not failed to put a smile on her face just on the taste of her pastries, she is more relieved that she will no longer fall over from being hungry. Those pastries should keep her going until she eats a proper meal. Speaking of a proper meal, Roselyn should get something to eat. As soon as she said goodbye to Nepthtys, she told her employees that she will be stepping out momentarily to grab something to eat from the market. It wasn't a meal that she was after. All she needed was a snack that was not a pastry or bread from her bakery. She acquired a red apple from the market and munched on it before she returned to the bakery for the rest of the operating hours. She and the crew spent the next hour and a half cleaning up the bakery, including putting out the fires in the oven. Afterwards, the bakery was locked up for the evening and everyone went home, including Roselyn.

Employees of the restaurant are aware that Roselyn is not to be disturbed. Normally she would out in the front talking to her patrons and making suggestions on what sweets they should try or what bread to buy depending on the meals that they are planning on making. However, today she is brainstorming. Sitting in her personal workstation that is only used for coming up with new recipes, she is trying to come up with something that she has never done before. At first, she thought coming up with another sweet, but sweets are something she is an expert on. This time, she wanted to do something on the savory end. Of course, she is not going to cook a meat stew and serve it at her bakery. Aside from having no desire to ever cook or eat meat, other places in the market district already offer their version of stews. People come to her for bread, tarts, cookies, pies and so on. When she thought about pie, that is when an idea popped into her head. Why not make a savory pie? With no meat, what she can make it with? After some more thinking, she wanted to see what would happen if she made a pie filling consisting of cheese and garlic. That would mean she has to leave the bakery for a little bit to shop around for ingredients. Having set her mind on making this pie, she told her employees that she will return shortly and left the bakery.
"Oh dear. You must be starving. Is there anything you see that like to have to fill your stomach?"
