wow can someone please tell me why Gaia isn't as big as it was last year. Maybe I'm just self-centered and think just because I haven't been on here since last year Gaia has become wack. Yea, I think that's the main reason but for real. Gaians tell me what you think of Gaia now and of last year. Has it gotten better, worse, basically the same. PLus I kinda gave you free gold by adding a poll so come on post for me.

I don't think Gaia has gotten better or worse which is the problem. There isn't as much excitement or anyhting new to tempt others to have fun, and a lot of the most popular gaia members who helped bring in the posts have left because they are bored with the site.

I think some of the things that they added are just weird. I don't really like the Towns thing very much.

Like many things on the wide, wide internet, Gaia went through the faze of being the biggest fadm and thing to do among those with the time and things to say on these forums. Now that torch has been passed down to MySpace, and only the people who have emotional attachments to the people here, *This would include myself* remain and still actively post. You never know what the future can hold, though, so it may explode once again, or it may become another potroad on the information superhighway, we'll just have to keep moving forward and discover what it holds...

there are a lot of very young people now-adays....but it doesn't matter...gaia has gotten worse..did you know there are people who don't know that gaia has a MAP? stare plus they have made it hard to find where you are suppost to post i.e. in the exchange it used to be anyone could post anything any where...but now if you do not post IN THE DEAD SUB-FORUMS.....you get yelled at stare stare most people don't even know HOW to get to the subforums xd

I used to only get on sometimes, but now I'm much more regular. Still not that much.
I think Its just that now a lot of younger kids are on and some are not big on the forum scene- others are just blahy users who only get on occasionally

Well I haven't logged on in awhile and I say things have gotten a little worse. There's really no new devlopements and most of the users are pretty young and dont have much to say. Plus the "all holy ruler of the internet" Myspace has captured many people and proably most of the gaians as well. Everyone raves about Myspace while gaia has fallen into the boonies. Everyone knows about Myspace and not enough people know about gaia. I think we need to do something about this and maybe make gaia a little more user friendly for all the people who don't know how the system works. *shrugs*

I agree with Evion.
Personally I don't see what the big deal with myspace is, it's just an easy way for yer next stalker to find you what with all the picture postings coupled with names and addys; could you be any stupider?
As for Gaia, it's has gotten a bit slower, and the average age seems to have lowered, but what can you expect? Most of the curropted *cough* I mean the teenagers now adays, all they want to talk about is sex, drugs and rock and roll (and OMG! the outfit I saw at the ma~all!) Where as there are possible forums available about for such posting the cutsy (and you must admit, they are cutsy) avatars and borders will turn off the emo/punk/goth/cheerleader/jocks and what nots.
The only pleople it appeals to is a. Silly giggly girls, b. People who like anime, c. people who have a brain but don't want to grow up and inherit responsibilty there fore having to use said brain.
So since it dropped out of favour for myspace with the errr.... "new generation", and the ability of how to redo yer user page still escapes even me, one can see why it'd be the choice of the youth to go to a place where they can get easily attacked if they're not smart.
Anyway, so yea Gaia has gotten worse, and I was one of the people who disappeared for awhile (but I was sucked away by World of Warcraft, not Myspace, I have a LJ that's all I need thank you very much) but now I'm back, and hopefully that somewhat alters the worse-ness that has become Gaia's fate.
I'm tired, if this post made little to no sense I apologize, it was written betwixt many a yawn.

I second that, I am never on this site. Until today because I'm bored out of my mind completely and it was on my favourites list. I couldn't even have told you my username if it wasn't saved.

I think it's gotten alittle better. besides the fact that item prices are skyrockerting, gaia got some new clothes and hair, which are REALLY cute, even though expensive.

Blah. It depends how you look at it. It has changed for sure. In some ways it is good, and in some it is bad. Personally I like a few of the new perks it brings.

Things haven't changed enough, so it got boring for a lot of the regulars, henceforth the decline of gaia.

I think part of it was this new layout. While I did adapt to it, I still think the one prior to this one was better. With the map being required to shop, fish, gamble, find story updates, etc.. It felt more like a small world you could escape to then it does now. Now Gaia is an empty shell of it's former self, just another forum site.
Gaia has lost it's soul.

I think in about a year, myspace is going to die, like some many other site of it's kind, and maybe then Gaia will have a little more life to it. I personally rarely ever sign on, but a new wave a interest has hit me, and i'm becoming more active again. I'm trying out some of the newer things ( and by newer, i mean the things that have come since i've been inactive) and i think i'm going to become a regular again, and this time for a longer period of time.

I have to disagree with you there because Myspace is really popular and it's even good to promote business and they continuously announce it on the radio.
