Light, Electric, Water, Poison—these are but few of the nations that Raven River connects to. Fishermen, traders, and transporters from these kingdoms move by boat to trade and travel to each other's realms quite frequently down this river.
The Dark Kingdom's source of seafood comes mainly from this body of water.

Lugus RexDark Dragon*Enter* Soon, they arrived at Raven River. They got to see a lot of Obsidia from a distance, as they crossed the center of the city and saw the different directions they could take. They had talked a little bit, but Lugus was kinda shy so he didn't know of too much to say. Still, he was having a lot of fun with her. She was a peculiar lady, and unlike anything he had met before. So Latita, what do you usually like to do for fun, besides make mirrors?

Lalita Istas The Mirror Witch

The walk to Raven River was longer than Lalita had hoped for. It wouldn't have been too bad, but she was wearing heels, which definitely were not made for walking long distances in. Not comfortably. Her feet were aching by the time they arrived, but she was determined to ignore it. Lugus was quieter than she would have liked, but he did speak. What little conversation they had was quite pleasant. She mostly asked him about the places they passed, to avoid having too much of an awkward silence stretching between them. It began to grow lighter. She had spend much more time in the Dark Kingdom than she had intended.
She slowed as they arrived, looking around as if curious. It wasn't much of a place. Dull and gloomy, like so many of the locations here, but like them all, it did have a certain personality. Her gaze wandered to the murky water, until her companion questioned her. She turned towards him with a little smile. "Oh.. This and that. I love games, when I have the time." She clasped her hands before her, smiling gently at him as she asked, "Seeing the sights. What do you like to do?" She had to resist the urge to look towards the river again. There were a few visible ships, which piqued her interest.. But not as much as this charming dragon.

Lugus RexDark DragonAs they walked through the city and along the river, they had some conversation here and there. Lugus was normally shy and awkward, but he didn't want to bore her so he did try to make more conversation. He could tell that she was curious about some of the things that they saw there. He kinda found it cute, although she still seemed to be more curious in him than their surroundings. I agree, I like playing games when I have the chance. Unfortunately, I don't have many people to play them with. Maybe someday we could do that together someday. He gave her a shy smile. I also like to fly. Not because of the height or the freedom, just because the way it feels to have wind blow through my wings. It feels nice.

Lalita Istas The Mirror Witch
❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂
Another soft smile graced Lalita's features at the news that Lugus enjoyed games too.. That was good to know, although she thought he might not care much for her kind of game. It would be better not to tell him too much. "Oh? Perhaps... It would be quite fun to play with you. Do you have a favorite?" A few steps were taken ahead of him, before she turned back towards the dragon, looking at him with that ever present smile. Keep appearing friendly. She wanted to befriend him, after all. So far, she thought that was quite successful. She really hoped he liked her. It wasn't so much that she wished to manipulate him in any way. Not at the moment. But she definitely couldn't pass up an opportunity like this, especially since he was so nice.
She took a couple steps backwards, staying in front of her companion. It was so obvious that he wasn't overly social. She could ignore what awkwardness there was, but it was still there. Not to mention how shy he seemed.. If he wasn't simply acting, he seemed sweet. She simply walked backwards while watching him curiously as he talked about flying. "I wouldn't have a single clue what that is like.." She clasped her hands behind her, tilting her head slightly to her right. Her gaze slid towards the river again, towards the ships. What was it like, sailing? She could easily watch, but it only gave her a shallow look at life. Her thoughts briefly became melancholic as she thought of this. Practical things she understood, but the feelings were far harder to grasp. She wanted to know. "What does it feel like?" Her eyes returned to his face for a few moments as she waited, then she flashed a cheery smile before turning around to watch where she was walking. It wouldn't do to trip over something.
She took a deep breath, then sighed softly. "I see a lot in my mirrors, but I haven't seen a dragon flying.. It sounds like it would be quite memorable." That was probably a foolish way to put it. The implication could be dangerous, but.. Maybe she was just too tired and her judgement was impaired.. Or maybe she wanted to talk to someone. Keeping secrets was tiring. And lonely. There was no one to tell though. The thought crossed her mind to possibly tell him sometime, but she doubted there would ever be a time or person she could talk to about those things. "May I..." She paused and glanced towards Lugus, this time not smiling. She almost looked nervous. Would that be asking too much, too soon? It was likely rude too.. Her gaze dropped to the ground as she lightly bit her lip.

Lugus RexDark DragonShe had asked him if he had a favorite game to play. He had to think about that some as they walked along the river. While it was true that he loved to play games, he didn't do so often since he didn't meet many people to play with, especially any of his type. As far as he knew, he was the only Dragon in the Kingdom. Sure, there was a very high chance of there being other Dragons, but he hadn't seen any, not for years. When he was a kid, he used to play fight with the other dragons, using their elemental breathing to fight, back when it wasn't as lethal. They also used to race across the skies, before it was deemed too dangerous, as they could easily be shot down in their adolescent state. He looked at her with a puzzled face, not having a true answer to give. I'm not sure. Most of the games I like to play are more for Dragons, and I haven't had the chance to play with any. Still, I'd love to play with you too.He was still nervous about talking to her, but he was starting to warm up to her. She was sweet, pretty, talkative and outgoing. It was a stark contrast to his normal shy self, but he decided that he would try to come out of his shell more, so to speak. He had to make sure it didn't sound like he was trying to hard, but he also didn't want to bore her. As he talked about flying, it seemed as though he drifted off into his own memories. It was amazing, that feeling. He truly felt alive when he was in the skies, which he felt was a gift. He knew how life was on the ground, and was thankful to be a true Dragon. Well, I don't really know how to describe it. It's almost relaxing, just being able to soar across the skies. I have to go above the clouds to keep any hunters from seeing me, but honestly I like it better that way. Watching the white puffs pass me, with the blue skies ahead and the dark space above me, it's exhilarating. I've never felt anything quite as satisfying. She had said that she had never seen a Dragon flying in her mirrors. He wondered what kind of magic her mirrors possessed, and he wondered whether it was a good or bad thing. Still, she didn't seem like the kind that would hurt him, so he trusted her, at least more than most people. She had started to ask something, but seeing as though they were just talking about Dragons and flying, he figured out what she was wanting. He smiled at her, both out of the cute hesitation she had when asking him and because he was happy to finally have someone to talk to about that stuff. Finally, he had a friend that he could be himself around. He waited a second, catching himself admiring her for a moment before continuing on. Sure Lalita, he chuckled. If you wanted to, we could go flying and you could ride on my back. He started to get really nervous, his heart pounding and his words slowing as he spoke. He didn't want to push his luck, he didn't want to come on too strong but he did like the idea of someone experiencing it with him. If so, you can just climb up through my tail, then rest your legs below my wings and hold on to my back. Also, if we do that, then we'll have to slowly progress, because you might not be able to handle the oxygen change. I'm just telling you this because I can't talk in Dragon mode. He chuckled nervously, then decided it would be best to go ahead and change. The first thing that came was his scales. They flipped out and onto his skin, almost like coins turning until they covered his body. Then came his claws. They spurted out of his nails, sharp and ready. Then his body and head started to morph, him shifting to all fours as he changed. He had clothes that were magically enchanted to morph with his body so that they wouldn't rip or stretch once he changed. Once his transformation was complete, he made the sharp scales on his back smoothen out so it wouldn't stab into her.

Lalita Istas The Mirror Witch
❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂≈❂
It took Lugus a bit of time to answer Lalita's question, but she didn't mind the wait. It looked like he was thinking.. Probably remembering things. She contented herself with watching him and trying to guess what was on his mind. What kinds of games would dragons play? Nothing she could, probably. Perhaps something to do with flying? Or maybe that elemental breath they were so famous for? Or perhaps play fighting, like young animals often do? That was a cute thought. Little dragons playfully wrestling. Her smile grew a little warmer as she thought about something like that. It was hard to imagine, but that didn't stop her from trying. When he finally answered, she blinked, confusion creeping onto her otherwise calm face for a few moments. Then she just gave a wry smile and shrugged. "That's fine.. I figured it would be something like that." She would just have to see if he would like some active human games. Maybe hide and seek.
She was quickly distracted as he answered her other question. Hearing that he wasn't sure how to describe flying only made her smile again. Despite that, he still did try to describe that. "So it's one of those things.. Still, that sounds nice." She definitely couldn't imagine what that was like. Being above the clouds? It sounded beautiful, but probably very cold.. Even the thought of such a height made her nervous, not because she was afraid of heights. Just.. That high up seemed dangerous to her. "You must be able to see everything from so high.. On clear days, anyways."
Her gaze returned to his face when he answered her unspoken question, surprise flickering across her own. How had he known? It wouldn't be hard to figure out, but that had still surprised her. "I.. Really?" There was a mix of curiosity and wariness. She doubted he would do anything to hurt her. He seemed too nice for that, but still.. Dragons were very dangerous. "Maybe." She couldn't say that that offer wasn't very tempting. She listened as he explained what to do if she did want to go flying. It was cute that he called that his 'dragon mode'. That made her giggle a little, though she still seemed more nervous than before. "Alright, Lugus." She decided it would probably be best to give him space. Dragons were supposed to be big, right? She moved away, putting a couple yards between them.
Other than glancing down to make sure she wouldn't slip while moving, her gaze mostly remained on him. She didn't want to miss any of this.. Although she did miss the start of the scales forming. It happened so quickly, only a matter of a few seconds as the scales took their place, immediately followed by dangerous looking claws.. And then his body shape began to change. Soon, there was a dragon standing in front of her. He was smaller than she had expected, but still impressive looking. As she stared at him, she almost looked.. Awestruck.
Lugus' scales were glossy, smooth looking but they also seemed like they might be sharp. The ones on his back and sides were black, but they reflected the light beautifully. But the rest were a cream color. Her eyes wandered to the larges wings, which were more.. Reddish. The membrane looked red. A lot more variety in color than she had expected. "Beautiful..." She murmured just under her breath. There wasn't any fear visible on her face.. If anything, she almost looked enchanted. She took several steps back towards him, hesitantly reaching out like she wanted to touch him. But she didn't. "May I..?" Even though he couldn't speak like this, it still seemed best to ask first.

Lugus RexDark DragonLugus had thought for a second, especially after seeing her reaction to his answer. He realized that it probably seemed like he blew her off, which he didn't mean to do. He guessed he just thought that she wouldn't be interested in it since it wouldn't be games she was familiar with. To try to make it seem less mean, he tried to follow up on it. Maybe sometime I'll tell you more about it. He smiled, trying to be nicer about it, but felt more bad about the way he said it than anything. She was smiling earlier, and he realized that she probably was pretty interested, which he took note of for their later conversations. As they talked about flying, she seemed to be equally interested. She seemed to find it cute when he thought about how to describe it. He probably should've left this one simple, but at the same time she seemed to like the thought of it, and plus he couldn't help but get lost when talking about his favorite pastime. On clear days, I can see the ground but it looks different. I can't explain it, but it looks amazing. When he offered to let her ride, she seemed hesitant. Honestly, he didn't mind it, as he loved flying with others. He loved flying with dragons, but he also liked the thought of someone on his back as he soared through the air. They'd probably have to hold on tight, but it would be fun. She definitely seemed to be interested in that, but also wary. They barely knew each other, so she probably didn't trust him all too well. Plus, even though he's in control of his inner dragon, she may not know that. Still, she eventually took his offer, and he transformed into a dragon. He heard her remark at how he looked, and asked once again to ride with the question trailing off. He couldn't speak, so he only looked at her and nodded. He bend his knees and laid his tail on the ground for her to climb up on.
