The Eight Warrior Values

Loyalty
Warriors must be loyal to their pride and to their Queen. Loyalty is essential for warriors to develop a trust bond with other members of the pride and with their Queen. The Queen must have trust and confidence in the warriors of the pride in order to maintain the collective strength of the group.

Honor
Warriors must have a strong sense of honor to be self motivated to do their jobs as warriors of the pride. They must be willing to do whatever needs to be done in any given situation that arises.

Sincerity
Warriors must honest and true in everything that they do. If a warrior makes a mistake or does something that negatively impacts others, it is much more honorable for the warrior to come forward and claim responsibility than to try to hide what they have done. Warriors should never tell lies for any reason, especially for their own gain. If a warrior tells a lie in distress or panic but comes clean later, their dishonesty will not be held against them.

Righteousness
A warrior must have a strong sense of justice and the mental and emotional capacity to make the right decisions at the right time for the good of everyone. Warriors must be able to make judgments and decisions fairly and be able to think of each issue with the well-being of the entire pride in mind. Warriors must act in the benefit of others and not in detriment.

Courage
Warriors must be courageous and must be self sacrificing for the sake of others. Warriors must be willing to risk their very lives for their Queen and the Indlovukati overall.

Respect
Warriors must generally have respect for life and the health and happiness of others. Then warriors must have respect for their fellow pride members, for their sister warriors and Queen, and most of all for themselves. It is believed that if a warrior does not have respect for even herself, then she will not be motivated to defend the lives of others. Warriors show respect for themselves and others in the way that they carry themselves and the way that they speak and conduct themselves with and around others in the homelands.

Benevolence
Warriors must always keep love in their hearts and never give into the darkness of hatred and evil. Warriors must treat others with respect and kindness and care for those weaker and smaller than themselves.

Self-Control
Warriors must be selfless in their actions and must not seek a life of selfish gain. A warrior's happiness lies in the happiness, health, and safety of the entire pride. If anything is amiss, it is the responsibility of the warriors to help in whatever way they are able. Warriors are taught to think of others first and themselves second.

Martial Art Training

Warrior Arts
The warrior arts include a combination of self defense, mental strengthening, advanced combat techniques, spiritual development, and leadership training. Warriors must also learn and live by the eight values to embrace what it means to be a warrior in the Indlovukati. Warriors are trained constantly and learn new things every day, Masters will use any opportunity to instill knowledge and wisdom into the warriors. Pride warriors must be well rounded in their skills and be able to respond to any situation or crisis. The warrior arts are reserved for those in warrior ranks.

Mental Strengthening
Training the mind strengthens an individual's spirit, willpower, and convictions. Pride members are taught to calm their minds and spend time meditating or in deep thought to get know themselves better. Members are also taught slow forms and movements geared toward learning concentration and focus. A strong mind and spirit can handle any obstacle they come across and find joy in times of turmoil. Mental strengthening is open to all pride members but is mostly practiced by males and spirit guides.

Self Defense or Basic Training
Self defense is the art of using avoidance tactics or physical force to counter a perceived threat. Because of their value of life, Indlovukati members are taught to dodge and evade first and use necessary force only when needed. Self defense training is open to all pride members.

The Royal Family

The Queen and her family train with the best masters in the pride. Their safety is most important, so they are trained to protect themselves and taught everything that the Masters know about warrior life, so that the knowledge may be passed down to future generations. The Queen holds all of the pride's most guarded knowledge and secrets, and is in charge of passing that knowledge on to future Masters.

Every new Master will work closely with the royal family in order to impart her knowledge to Queen, and the Queen will teach the Master the knowledge of the royal family.

Masters

Once guardians become masters, they do not stop training, instead they try to perfect their basic abilities and build on them with new techniques in order to work toward their truest potential and fulfill their purpose in life. These warriors do not have much time for themselves as they spent most of it training the other members of the pride, which helps them keep up with their physical ability. Masters work closely together to learn from one another's experience and knowledge. They believe that only when they work together can they attain their true strength.

Masters also spent a lot of time meditating and better understanding their own nature. After going on their spirit quests, they will spend time searching for their life purpose if they did not realize it during their quests or they will seek ways to fulfill their purpose if they did.

Guardians

Guardians specialize in observation and stealth. This group goes through a lot of training to strengthen their senses. They are trained to see in the dark and notice fine movement in low light, and how to remain hidden and unseen. They are able to detect low sounds and distinguish the many sounds of the rainforest from the sounds of moving beings and potential threats. Guardians learn to be silent and keep focus for long periods of time and react quickly and accurately to any situation.

Guardians are the warriors that civilian pride members approach for help and sometimes advice. Guardians must be able to make fair judgement calls and help resolve issues and disputes between civilians and sometimes other warriors.

Warriors

Warriors are given full on physical and mental training. They are taught all the fundamentals of living life as a warrior. They are taught to have patience and discipline and to not allow themselves to be overtaken by their weaknesses. They must observe and master the eight values of the warrior.

The ultimate goal for a warrior is to attain personal balance and full control over oneself. Therefore high imbalance is seen as a weakness. The masters know that each lioness is different and will come with different strengths and weaknesses.

If a warrior is seen to fail completely in learning the eight values, they will be not be allowed to progress any further. Depending on the severity of their crimes, they may even be demoted to Sage.

Civilians II

Sages & Daughters
Sages do not need fighting ability for the position that they take on in Indlovukati society. They are meant to be protected first and foremost and are able to live carefree lives. Nevertheless sages always have the option to train with the warriors without taking on warrior responsibilities. Sages are valued simply for the presence of feminine energy, love, and new life that they bring to the pride.

When daughters are old enough, they are taught self defense and the basic meaning of what it is to be a sage or a warrior. As they grow older, they are able to choose their path in life, whether to be a sage, a warrior, or another civilian rank.

Providers & Sons
Males are taught self defense and are encouraged to seek spiritual strength but do not receive extensive warrior training. It is believed that only females are able to attain the self discipline necessary to become warriors and protect the pride selflessly. Males are mainly taught to hunt and train in other professions.

When sons are old enough, they are taught self defense and the basic meaning of what it is to be a provider. As they get older, they can choose whether to seek a life as a provider or another civilian rank.
