I am thinking about moving TGPS off of Gaia, or at least the events and such, I'd probably keep the thread around though. The inflation has gotten a bit confusing and I've been thinking that I would rather sell the pre-made (and finished prior to selling) event Pocky Boys like adoptables for real money rather than pixel gold that seems highly unstable (Pocky customs are also about the only commissions I get in the first place). So off-site would be better. But I also want to keep the community because I'd prefer to keep the RP and stuff. Toyhou.se lets you create a 'World' that has it's own forum, so there would be a place to RP. I think it would be a good place to move to. (It does require an invite at the moment, but chances to get invites can easily be found by searching 'Toyhou.se invite' on the journals section of DeviantART)Also if I move it off-site I will probably lessen growth requirements for current pocky boys (still thinking about how I want to do with new pocky boys off-site.) so the current owners can have their pocky boys grow sooner. It'd be nice if you could post that you are still around, and if you have any comments or questions about the poll. Would like to make the decision before Chinese New Year. XD Addendum: If you post 'No' to the poll, but do not post that you are still around and that you think it should stay on Gaia. I may dismiss those votes. As I am more interested in opinions from people who are actually going to be around the shop.Also, when I 'stay on Gaia', I don't mean that if the shoppe moves to Toyhou.se or elsewhere that I would abandon the thread and guild here, but Pocky Boy sales would not take place here anymore (for the most part, there may be exceptions to that).

i'm around in lurking mode, which is why I havn't checked in with my little panda. I think it's a good idea, but I'm ok with whatever you decide.
For the off-site growths I was thinking perhaps auction for growing pocky boys? Have a set price for the pre-made boys. Or set a price teir for growing them based on RP. The more rp the lower the price.

Tygress Dream i'm around in lurking mode, which is why I havn't checked in with my little panda. I think it's a good idea, but I'm ok with whatever you decide. I like the idea of moving it. Because of inflation I haven't been around at all, but I check back to see if I have notifications (such as this one!) This would be the only community I'm active in, so I'm in favour of moving.

Probably the RPing too (nobody has posted in the RP forum since January last year anyway...) as you can subscribe to get notifications from threads in a world's forum, where as in a gaia guild you either have to be the thread creator or be quoted to get notifications. This isn't quite so much about me changing rates or anything. I mean, if I have an auction, that certainly isn't going to be anywhere near the neighborhood it was in the past. The last pocky auction went for 20mil. Apparently the average gold people have nowadays is practically like 1bil or more. I still don't understand where all that gold came from. People have that much, so they'll use that much. Actually, a thought that has occurred to me. Is that if I bring TGPS over to Toyhou.se, most of pocky boys will be sold for real money, but I will most probably have free events too. As opposed to on here where it pretty much relies on pixel gold which I have little interest in nowadays, I would not mind so much doing more free events. --- - (actually, I am much more inclined to do so, since I am more interested in the RP aspect of the shop then for how much gold people can spend. You might ask why I don't just give them all away for free (or for a flat rate) in RP events then... Because, to be completely honest, after a while it does get kind of draining to be designing and drawing two (Child and bishie when they grow) fully CG'd fullbody art for free (even being paid pixel gold still counts as free, since you can't live on pixel gold) all the time that might not even be used (there are a lot of owners who buy a pocky boy and then just disappear), when I could be working on commissions, artwork of my own characters, fanart, gift art, etc.) --- - Which for those who don't have the money can still acquire Pocky Boys just fine, and also does not rely on how much gold you have in the first place. It also does not cost money to have an account on Toyhou.se.

XD It's still kind of rough though and things need editing for the different site (and some things need information that I never put together), but it's there. Even got a nice even number (900) for it. X'D Yeah, pretty much does. I do. x'D The latest pocky boy (whom is up next for sale once I get things sorted quickly) took nearly 8 hours of work... Which actually doesn't even count the time I spent figuring out the design... XD

And now that that's so high up, if you do the daily chance thing? Each click could get you 100,000-500,000 on average (at least that's how it's been for me. In fact, one of them gave me 2,000,000 before.). Though there's also the "5,000" ones which is just... wow in comparison. Meh. Every now and then selling things for gold is awesome! But, after a while... that alone can't always be good. Especially if you don't have anything to use the gold on. While the art itself is, technically, One Of A Kind...
Not that there's anything wrong with wanting gold, either! I sometimes do, too!
So. Doing it for free? Yeah... all the time? That'd be too much for anyone, I think...

I'm still around. Just been really busy with RL though I'd really love to pick up on the RP aspect of the shop once again whichever you think works better for you overall. ^^
I do have to admit that the gold inflation on Gaia, though it's only pixel gold, is kinda disturbing. If shops try to raise price to match the market rate, there'll be some people who'll be discouraged from trying for a character since the price range may be way out of their reach. Yet shops have to pay their artists for the effort they put into the art so this inflation has kind of landed everyone in a sticky situation indeed. I think it'll probably be good to move the shop to another site where everyone won't have to be distracted by all these yet you can have the choice of giving away characters free or through a raffle of sorts (perhaps free characters can be template based instead of full customs?), or selling them for RL money with how much time you're putting into them.

Ahha... And here I thought they were actually trying to get rid of some of the gold (with gold sinks), but noo... gotta flood it instead... --- While I appreciate the thought, I don't play Animal Crossing (I know, GASP), and I haven't actually played Pokemon since Emerald. XD I don't really know what kind of "digital" item I would be interested in. And it would also require both the person wanting to trade to have the game or whatever and for me to as well (plus I would have to want it). The closest thing that I could think of would be something from an MMO, but I've gotten quite distracted from playing MMO's lately. (though I am quite interested in Black Desert when it comes out in english. XD) Only other thing I can think of would be artwork (but I can be picky on that, so not everyone would be in a position to do that). To be completely honest the things that interest me the most lately aren't "digital" things (unless they are games themselves amongst a few other things... but then that doesn't work for the 'without real money'. xD). Cosplay is one thing that interests me a lot. X'D Thus why free events work best. XD --- Ultimately the "free" part is a matter of perception. If you feel you are getting something in return that you value, then it is not quite "free". It's basically just a form of trade. You could say, in Gaia gold's case, it's the difference between perceiving the pixel gold as dollar bills that you want to have because you see use for them or monopoly money that is fun to have in the game but doesn't quite hold the same appeal (as it once did). No, nothing wrong with it. XDLots of time... Lots and lots of time... Good gad, I seriously don't know the meaning of 'simple' sometimes. XD ... Just look at Ai and all those ruffles. XD And Kal and his fizz... and Kazimir's snakey gorgon hair.
