Aiden while a mostly shy and vastly reluctant type of cat, he still felt like the city was his home. Aiden liked wandering old familiar streets, and dodging unknown dangers. Most of all, it was the sights and smells that attracted him most. All of these things made up the greater city he called home. While it was dangerous being young and mostly alone he'd made do for the most part. As it was, the youngster was absent minded and unsure what he wanted to do. Only recently had he been taken in by a foul tempered feline; but Aiden often still would leave the apartment to go explore.

Now was one of those those times, with a promise to be back before dark. As he walked on, Aiden came to a fork in the road. "Lets see...this way or that way.." He cocked his head, peering between a turn off. Either direction could prove fun, but he went left on a whim.He wasn't entirely sure why, he had everything he could have afforded or wanted back at the apartment building. Something about adventuring was just too promising. Keeping to himself as he turned down a street corner humming a quite little tune. His destination wasn't anything in particular, he was more interested in scoping the neighborhood out.

Aiden startled when he heard an unexpected amount of rustling in the near by brush. Yelping, his long overgrown furry tail stood up on end like a gigantic wish. Looking around in his panic, he seemed to bounce around a bit as he looked around for the source of the disturbance nearly bolting away without a second thought. His eyes fell on a large equally puffy orange and brown hue'd tail, and a body shaking along with a pair of bright golden eyes. It took him a moment to register what he was seeing, concern overriding his fear. "O..oh! Hi there, sorry I didn't mean to scare you!" He quickly started, looking both sheepish and apologetic.

After a moment of pausing, Aiden kept talking in hopes of establishing some kind of communication. "I didn't know anyone was around here, I was just on a stroll." Aiden tried to reason with the other, backing up a bit and sitting down to make himself look less intimidating. The somali cat hadn't gotten a good look at the cat in the brush..nor what he had in his mouth. For all he knew it was a toy. Squinting a little he blinked at the other in wonder, afraid asking tons of questions might bother the other.

Aiden's ears perked up when he first heard a muffled hard to understand reply..then what he swore was a kind of sob, followed by a little tiny mewl. Now he was sure the other was either hiding something, or had something that was very much not a toy. Aiden debated on what was best to do. "Is..that a baby?" He asked tentatively ears laying back when the other told him to go away. The other cat couldn't have been much older than himself, so why did he have a little cat? "Watchya got man? I mean I don't know you but I know some where you can go and be warm..both of you even!" The idea occurred to him he could lead the other back to his new home of sorts. Not that this cat looked fit to even speak to him let alone follow him.

"I won't hurt you, I promise!" He quickly blabbered out not wanting to leave the stranger alone just yet. Maybe he could help him, if even just a little. Aiden whined softly, wanting to inch closer but not until the other calmed down. "You're not a nobody..you sound like you need help is all." The somali retorted nodding his head some.

Aiden moved himself closer, peeking into the tangle of green and brown branches the other had wedged himself into taking a peek at the little kitten. Even with the other trying to avoid eye contact, the other cat offered him a gentle smile. "Well...It's nice to meet you Train and I Don't Know." He joked, only lightly and with gentle intentions. "I'm Aiden! I know some older cats...they are human-like but they let me stay with them." He explained calmly. He didn't know all the details behind it...only that they'd claimed their own piece of land and lived their comfortably within the city's limits. Looking thoughtful, Aiden's little brows furrowed up as he talked on. "I bet at least until you figure out what you do want to do you can stay?" Aiden leaned down gently nosing at the little kitten before glancing back up at the scaredy cat.

"I mean only if you wanna...I get you're worried. I wouldn't know what to do with a kitten either." He frowned shaking his head. Either way, if he had to he'd march back and get them food of some kind if he could..or maybe his favorite blanket for the little one? He wasn't really sure, he just knew he was glad Train hadn't bolted on him.

Aiden's concern only heightened as the other looked on in his distressed state. For a moment he wasn't sure what to say or do. He opened and closed his mouth before sighing. The hiccups earned the cat a look of helpless concern as the other all but shielded the kitten. "Shh..hey it's going to be okay Train. Big deep breathes. Take it slowly." He tried to sooth the other as his tail tightly wrapped around his frame again. "Yeah, they aren't REALLY humans? They use to be like us I've been told a couple times. So no, they aren't scary. One can be a little short tempered, but the other one is really sweet." He gave a small shrug of his shoulders in response. "I thought it was weird at first too...but it beats being out in the rain and cold all the time." He added with a wry smile, being honest with the other based on his assessment.

In the somali's mind so long as he kept the other from a hysteria fit he was sitting good. "Well. We have milk I'm sure, and blankets to wrap her up! " He didn't make fun of the others hiccups, and only made the occasional soothing shh sound to him. All in all, Aiden remained patient and reassuring of the others fears. Standing up to give a small stretch of his limbs the cat glanced back the way he'd come then to the other cat whom he'd been conversing with. "I mean if you prefer I'll just go get you a blanket, the food will have to be another trip man. I can't grab both at once." He admitted sheepishly with a sigh.

"He wont hurt us...the guys name is Switch. He might get annoyed, but that's different." He promised the other nodding his head. Aiden remained patient, the somali cat didn't want to rush the other until he got a hold of himself. "I want her to be safe too..and for you to try and take a couple deep breaths man." For a street cat, he knew when it was time to be afraid and time to be at easy. This poor guy had the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Sighing softly he smiled at the other. He had to admit the situation was a bit chaotic, but they seemed to be making progress the others hiccups and sobbing were beginning to slow. Aiden could work with this, so long as the other was willing to take a leap of faith.

All he wanted to do was make this okay. "Come on, bring her and I'll lead the way?" Aiden coaxed Train, trying to get the other male to trust him. He didn't blame him for being this way...it was a big decision. His eyes plead with the other, hoping to make him understand he meant well. Taking a leap of faith he got up from his seated position and walked over to the other sitting down b eside him and gently nudging him with his head. "It'll be alright!" He reaffirmed to Train, repeating it so it would settle in with him.

"Well, they aren't..really people I guess. Switch said they were anthros...I think? And you could say they are a couple. A really strange one, but I guess that's pretty close to what they are. The other's name is Cross by the way." The young somali replied with a nod of his head, trying for further reassuring looks and a gently press of his nose against the others shoulder as he nudged him.

Aiden curled his oversized furry tail around the other and smiled warmly. "Yeah, your mom sounded like a real smart lady then! I think she'll be plenty safe yes. And if you don't like it there...you can always leave?" He offered him calmly, seeing as it was the truth after all. No one would force him to stay, least of all Aiden. He was a tough kid, and would do whatever it took to make things right. Backing up away from Train, he nodded for the other to follow with the little kitten leading the way back to the place in question that had been promised.

"Are you hungry too...? I can get you something while we get her food too!" Aiden asked peering back at the other as they walked along. For what it was worth he was excited the other had listened too him, even if Switch and Cross might not like it.

He'd thought it was weird they were like them, but not as well at first. They had no collars...and we're somewhat bigger than a normal cat. They weren't exactly like humans...but it was similar at least. It was hard for him to explain, but he trusted them. That was good enough for Aiden, or at least had been thus far since his coming to stay their. "It's alright man...or at least it will be." he smiled softly as he nodded.

The trip wasn't that long, he thankfully knew the way back. Leading the pair up a flight of stairs, and into the small apartment complex on t he 3rd floor he bolted away looking for a blanket. The overly furry cat drug a purple and blue flowered one out from a bedroom, along with a basket for the baby kitten. Soon, he found them food as promised. He settled down, curling his tail around his feet as he let Train get settled.

"See? Not so bad right?" Aiden sat up, giving a lazy stretch as the A of his collar made a little jingle noise.
