There was a new king and while it was nice to see a young, healthy king on the throne of the Pridelands, Adrestia couldn't help but still be worried about the pride's future. There was no word on a queen, cubs or anything and with the Mava'bunda still posing a threat...This king was inexperienced. Not that she was any wiser, but could he fend himself from an ambush? What would the pride do then? The line of kings seemed so fragile these days.
At least there would be soldiers to fend the pride off from any would-be invaders. Soldiers. The thought of them was...foreign. The Pridelands had always been peaceful except in times of war, something Adrestia had been blessed to have never known as she had been born after the last conflict between the Mava'bunda and the Pridelands. It wasn't the only rank that king Tau put into place but the others seemed to fit into the way of life most Pridelanders were used to with little change.
Groaning, the white lioness rolled onto her side as she laid on one of the sentry rocks along the border. It was a flat topped stone with two tiers, large enough for two more lionesses to join her and still be room to maneuver. While she was no official scout, there was no hunt going on and left her rather bored, but with quite a bit of free space in her mind for troubled thoughts to take over.
Like how one of her sisters had left in the middle of the night not that long ago, claiming something about a moon calling her. Oh how their mother had become distressed over her disappearance. The lioness' ears fell back while the sun warmed her. Oh how she would give Aihua a piece of her mind if she ever came back...
