War . War never changes . . . So yeah, Fallout, anyone? The year would be 2277, 200 years after the beginning of the Great War. I'd allow a a completely unlimited range of characters- be a super mutant, or a scientist, a drunk Brotherhood soldier, or a gunslinging 9 year-old. I don't care. Go crazy.
I'd want it to be set near the gulf coast, so everything's as miserable and swampy as possible.

Enemies you could expect would be everything from nasty mutant alligators and giant snapping turtles, to desperate tribal swamp raiders who paint their faces with muck and hide in the trees. Also swamp "pygmies", who are actually just a tribal society of wasteland children hiding behind masks and feathers.
I kinda want the plot to be centered around a caravan that wants to get to an abandoned amusement park (you remember when Katrina hit that 6 Flags in new orleans? lawwwwd a massi~) and start a life there, but the park is currently occupied by raiders or some s**t idk. I also like the idea of centering on a river conflict, where raiders ******** up caravans and travelers on their crazy Mad Max-esque fanboats. A group takes on the job of trying to take back the river or- idk. Still not keen on a plot, yet. I want to see if anyone would even be interested in the setting, first.
Basically I was playing Shadowman one day after a Fallout binge and I was like- -s**t I love voodoo and nuclear apocalypse. I should do this. And there will be a prominent voodoo / tribal theme, since we're deep in the swamps of New Orleans.
So yeah. Anyone?

shabatha Looks very interesting! But i've never played fallout... sweatdrop S'all good, Shabba. XD
I wish I could be like- "oh you can get by, just pretend the world got bombed and you're in a swamp". But there's SO MUCH going on in the Fallout universe, like the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave and just- just all kinds of stuff that you really honestly have to have played the game to understand. I wish it weren't so. Because I love you and would love to have you in it. lmfao XD
ALSO EVERYONE, LOOK. I found these really badass character sheets that I'm totally going to use to design my OC, omg.
Example of one filled out :

Soo Kool! biggrin I'm really glad you joined too! So awesome! Anywho, I'll probably go look at a wiki to learn about said Fallout stuff biggrin I highly encourage you go buy the game, it's VERY lore-heavy. XD Honestly Fallout 3 (the best one lmfao) the COMPLETE edition with all the DLCs has been out for long enough that it's dirt cheap nowadays. I picked up a copy a couple weeks ago from my local Gamestop for $15. THAT'S SO CHEAP FOR SUCH A LONG, AMAZINGLY POPULAR VIDEO GAME HOLY CRAP. o-o
I know you're a girl, but so am I. I'm HORRIBLE at first-person shooters (even though Fallout lets you play from either 1st or 3rd person whenever you want) and the IDEA of first-person shooters does not sound like a fun game to me. But when I picked up Fallout my boyfriend could not get me off the xbox. He just couldn't. He still can't. It's a miracle I'm still on the laptop while he's asleep and the xbox is up for grabs. XD People like to say it's Skyrim with guns. Bullshit. Skyrim is Fallout with less features and no guns. Fallout is far superior, and I was obsessed with Skyrim for years without ever THINKING of playing Fallout. It just didn't seem like it was my type of game AT ALL. I can't stress that enough. The beauty of Fallout is that it really is made for everyone. The characters, the settings- it's REALLY easy to get lost in the world and-
-oh god I'm rambling. Dude just buy the game, it's not even $20. You will NOT regret it.

You'll probably get addicted to all the old-timey '50s and big band music throughout the game. It REALLY grows on you. XD
And yeah dude, Skyrim was my baby. My precious little baby, for years. <3 IT'S JUST- just... Fallout turns out to be so much better. It's everything my friends tried to tell me it was, and now I'm all late to the party about it all. LMFAO
