Nickname: Hybrid, but never Rainbow. Also never call her "Princess" unless you want a hoof-punch to the face!
Breed: Alicorn
Appearance: A somewhat average looking alicorn with a bright yellow coat. She has golden eyes and a spiky short golden mane with two strands of longer hair framing her face. Her tail is kept short and somewhat fans out. She always wears a rainbow zigzag headband to keep her mane in check.

Personality: Hybrid is a tomboy that has a knack for color. She likes to travel to all reaches of Phonyland to sample the various colors in the world. Despite her love of color, her view points are ironically pretty black-and-white. It is nearly impossible to sway Hybrid's opinion if she has decided upon something. She is prone to mischief, and tends to look for a good time. She is also always up for a race, whether by land or by air!

Cutie Mark: A Rainbow in a crescent shape using only pink, pastel yellow, and pastel blue. Has two 4-point stars under the ends of the rainbow, and 1 bigger 5-point star centered underneath the arch of the rainbow.
Talent: Hybrid has a really good eye for color. Her purpose is to create the most complete spectrum of colors with her paints.
Magic: Hybrid can temporarily alter the way light reflects on an object. In other words she can temporarily make objects change into whatever color she desires. She can only use it on one object at a time and the effect only lasts about a minute.

Pet: ********* the Manx Cat ~ Hybrid thinks her cat is defective because it has no tail!

Romance: Yuck, gross!

Welcome to The Iridian Spectrum!

Hybrid Rainbow works and owns her own paint shop called The Iridian Spectrum. There is honestly nothing special about the location or the exterior of the shop. However, once anyphony enters, they are transported to the most meticulously organized paint shop.

The walls are adorned with swatches of practically every color imaginable, organized in a gradual blend of colors. Select a swatch and bring it to the register, and Hybrid Rainbow can get anyphony set up with as much paint as anyphony wants! She offers all sorts of paints for all sorts of purposes, including for the arts, for remodeling a stable, customized paint-war colors and more! If for some reason the color somephony seeks is not available, just let Hybrid Rainbow know and she will guarantee a color match within 24 hours (Some restrictions do apply).

Her store has listed hours of service, but her job is never complete! The ground floor is where the paint store is actually located, and the second story is where Hybrid's paint lab is set up! All the paint mixing and storage takes place in the second story, which only The Iridian Spectrum staff (IE: Hybrid Rainbow) has access to. Her job frequently requires her to travel to find new colors, so the roof of her store is essentially a landing pad for her use. When she is not running the storefront, she is either off sampling new and exciting colors, mixing paints, or canning/tubing paints for storage. There are rumors that Hybrid Rainbow never sleeps (but reality is she just sleeps in the paint lab).

Random little tidbits about Hybrid Rainbow

Flight of Magic?: Flight, because Hybrid likes going fast! She is okay with her magic, but it requires too much concentration at times.
Favorite Flavor: Spicy - Hybrid adores spicy foods, and is pretty open on various types of spice.
Disliked Flavor: Sweets - Hybrid avoids sweets like the plague. However, her cat, *********, adores them and frequently snatches any sweets she can get her paws on.
Favorite Disney Princess: Moana from Moana. Hybrid understands the status as a "Princess" is debatable because Moana doesn't consider herself a Princess, but that is part of the appeal for Hybrid.

"HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THE DIFFERENCE?!"

The alicorn filly held out two cards that seemed as if they were the same color. If she had been tall enough, it would have seemed as if she would have smooshed them into the mare's face.

Out of Orbit was a bit taken back by this filly's tone, stuttering a bit as she repeated her assessment.

"I-i'm s-sorry... th-they just look the same color to me..."

Hybrid groaned, clearly not accepting this answer. Putting the two cards down on the ground, she pointed to the card on her right. "This one is Maroon, which has a brown added to the red base!" She pointed to the opposing card, explaining firmly "And this one is Burgundy, which is a deep shade of red achieved by adding purple to it!"

The mare seemed like she was trying, leaning in and squinting at the cards. Even with the explanation, she still didn't really see much of a difference at all. "Th-that is neat! It's just... I am having a hard time seeing the difference still..."

The filly groaned yet again, sounding absolutely disgusted with everything in the world. "Every Phony I have shown these swatches to hasn't been able to see the difference! It is plain as day!!!" Almost as if she had been defeated, the brightly colored filly suddenly flopped to the ground.

Now with a lump of a filly in front of her, the mare wasn't quite certain what to do. However, that didn't stop her from trying! "You m-must have a really good eye for color! S-so where did you get these swatches from? Was it from a particular store? Are you planning to paint your stable a new color?" Though Out of Orbit was a bit awkward about the presentation of her questions, her interest was genuine.

"Nope, I made it!"

"Made it?"

Finally shifting from her land-slug position, the filly repeated "Yeah, I made it! I made the paints myself. So what?" Hybrid placed her hooves upon her cards, a hoof upon each card, looking at them with a sour frown.

"So what?! That's a big deal!" the mare exclaimed. "Maybe it's because I don't have the slightest idea how to do anything artsy, but that is a true talent! I could never dream of making my own paints, or even having the eye to be able to see the differences between colors that..." Out of Orbit paused before cautiously adding "...are similar" She paused again, as if trying to see if the alicorn filly would throw another fit over such a description.

Hybrid Rainbow did not seem to react at all, though her expression had shifted from one of sour disappointment to something a bit more contemplative. It was as if the little filly was trying to fully process the words the mare had offered. Lifting her head, she nodded firmly.

"Yup, it's decided!" She gathered up her cards without an explanation, turning to walk away.

Quite confused by the sudden turn of events, the Earth Phony had to curiously inquire "What's decided?"

Turning back to reply, there was a large grin upon Hybrid Rainbow's face. "It means I have to make the best paint shop around with all the colors! That way every Phony will see what colors the world has to offer!"

As the young alicorn turned back to her path, it was easy enough to see as the mark of a rainbow arched over a star and two sparkles formed upon her rump in a brilliant burst of light.
