 Diesel was so glad to finally be cleared to go back to battle after his brief imprisonment and longer recovery than usual. He supposed it was wise, after all, he'd gotten a lot of head trauma from the Demi-god's attacks. It wouldn't have been good to go back out there and risk more permanent damage. So here he was, soaring above the battlefield (and watching for aerial threats more than he would have done before). He peered down below him, and spotting an exceptionally furry pockettu with what appeared to be scythes (it was good enough for him), he swooped down, trying to bowl the squirrel over. HP: 20

 HP: 19 Wilhelm was hopeful. His tail flickered rapidly behind him as he scoured the battlefield for an opponent. He was alert, and that was why when Diesel dove at him he was able to roll to one side. he jerked his shovel scythe off his back and immediately swung his weapon, shovel flat side, at the attacker.

Diesel didn't usually miss that dive, but he was trained enough to be able to recover when he did, twisting and flaring his wings to slow himself down to land as he brought up his scythe -- just in time to block the shovel, though it jarred his arm a little. It was an odd weapon extension for the squirrel's scythe, but he was all business, his look a serious one as he tried to pop Wil's weapon up in the air long enough to try and get a quick jab in with his own at his chest.

Well that was a strange move. Then again, Whil had never fought an opponent with a weapon similar to his own. His weapon popped up and he ended up being jabbed hard. He staggered about and attempted to recover by spinning his weapon over his shoulders to try smacking at Diesel's shins.

Diesel uses his wings to help him leap over the smack at his shins, catching a glancing blow on his foot, which he then lashes out to attempt to kick Wil in the chin.

This was going so badly! Wil's head snapped back and tears welled in his eyes. Sniffling he swung his scythe at Diesel instead of the shovel this time.

Diesel saw the tears, and heard the sniffling, and didn't really care. He was on a mission to prove he was up to snuff in his fighting skills after his idleness, and to bring this war to an end. He flapped his wings to scoot back enough to get a minor slice across his chest, before flapping back in closer to swing his own scythe at the squirrel's chest in response.

It hurt when Diesel struck him. The slash cut through his white shirt and caused him to stumble back. Still crying he swung his scythe blindly at his attacker.

Diesel wasn't sure what sort of a fighter cried during a fight, and maybe earlier in the war he would have cared more, but not right now. He had to keep his focus and see this through, and not get distracted from whatever problems the squirrel had. He caught another furrow across his chest from Wil's scythe as he brought his own up, then back down in a diagonal motion, trying to open up his opponent from shoulder to opposite hip.

Wil tried to focus as hard as he could on this fight, which he seemed pretty good at doing right now. He danced out of the way of the scythe attack a bit, then lunged forwards to swing at Diesel's left wing.

The squirrel managed to dance back from that attack and Diesel couldn't avoid the one aimed at him in return. He took a bad slice to his wing, and he grunted in pain. It wasn't responding well to him right now and he frowned as he rushed in to try and spear Wil in the stomach with the spike on the butt-end of his weapon.

Wilhelm didn't even realize he had hurt Diesel badly enough with his last attack. Panting he jumped away from the stab, taking a small poke to his belly. He then swung his scyth back down to try and slash Diesel's other wing.

Diesel took another good slash to his other wing, not quite as bad as the other, but bad enough. He was pretty much grounded at this point, not that he hadn't mostly kept the fight on the ground anyway, and narrowing his eyes, swung hard for the squirrel in front of him, not caring what part of him he hit.

Wil half closed his eyes as he was struck by the slash. It could have been worse, but it still hurt. "Lukarius give me strength." He whispered fervently as he slashed at Diesel again.

This squirrel seemed to have more reserves than he gave him credit for. He took another bad slash across his chest and this time, swung his scythe for Wil's legs as hard as he could.
