Cassole prided herself in being light in color and quite pretty. She'd drape herself everywhere just so other pack members would see. All high ranking males were content with their mates, but there was a dark pelted omega male who caught her eye. The male was called Nausik and she spent weeks wooing him since he wasn't entirely interested in her, at all. When she did become pregnant from him she realized that she would have absolutely no chance of convincing the beta male she was worthy of his attentions. With a pitiful cry she claimed she'd been attacked and impregnated by Nausik against her will. The pack turned against the omega and ignored his statements. He was attacked and run off, whether he survived his wounds is unknown. An appropriate time later Cassole gave birth to two pups. The younger she noted tenderly was as light as her and just charmingly small and quiet. The older was as dark as Nausik and indignantly loud. With a hard mouth she moved the older pup to a different location and left it. Cassole did not want to be reminded of what she'd done to Nausik, and especially didn't want the beta male to remember him either. A nursing omega female had given birth a few days before the gamma Cassole and was a sibling to Nausik from a different litter. Seeing Cassole leave the dark pup in a damp dark place to perish quietly she waited until nightfall before placing it amongst her litter. Cassole had spread the word she had only had one pup and was sure to have all the pack admire her light one, Mable. This took a while and it was days before the gamma female went to check that her first born pup had died. When she found nothing she was pleased assuming it had been drug off. When Mable was walking around Cassole took to wandering around the packlands with her. The omega female had made her den in a secluded area and it wasn't until the dark pup, whom she named Meskeet, was fully weaned that Cassole discovered it to be alive. Harassing the omega and attacking her pups the small female was forced to find someone else to care for her adopted pup. No one was found because no one knew, but Meskeet decided to find someone herself it seemed. The dark pup convinced her cousin to follow her and so, while incharge of herself and her cousin she was able to survive for a week and evade Cassole. Her cousin was Malady and a neice to Cassole. The gamma female had become devoted to destroying Meskeet and seperating her from her precious Mable. Cassole also knew if Meskeet was found she would be revealed as her pup. The omega female would not speak of it, but Malady would. In a crazy rage she hunted Meskeet and Malady and mauled them when she finally caught them. Malady defended Meskeet and both were able to escape, if not only because the omega female found and attacked Cassole. Meskeet had learned the story of her father from Malady, and about Cassole and Mable from the omega female. The large litter she had been nursed with taught her ranking and how to grow higher in ranks. Hiding with Malady and running from Cassole had deepened her hate. Being seperated from Malady after Cassole found her and not being good enough even to be near Mable made the pup bitter. She'd healed for some time when the dark pup came across Phantom. Persuading him to allow her into his pack had taken some time, but in the end he had agreed. In his pack she met Audi and was reminded of Mable to a degree. Passing her days Meskeet is trying to become stronger and more fearsome while she waits for Malady and ponders the female omega. Solitude became her sanctuary and Meskeet is anticipating revenge against Mable.

Mable
Parents: Cassole x Nausik Siblings: Meskeet Offspring: -- Other Relatives: Malady [cousin] Talachi [Aunt] Malexxi pup [cousin] Malexxi [uncle], Tick [grandmother]

Mable [Commissioned]
Name: Mable Taken from: A dead great-grandmother who kept and favored her daughter while sending her son away to live with his grandparents and ignoring him for all his youth. [My grandfather] Stage: Adult [by the time I start her quest] Rank: Omega Age: not exactly calculated yet Gender: female Mate: none Parents: Cassole x ???
Appearance: Small, frail, thin, pale.
Coat: [1] [2] [3]
Nose color: light pink
Eye color: light green
Personality: Calm, depressed, honest, kind, emotional, trustworthy, against fighting, loving, gentle, forgiving.
Tendancies: Smiling, soaking in the sun.
Health Concerns: Depressed, sickly.
Diet: Water, vegeterian.
History: Mable was born to Cassole. Fatherless from birth she didn't realize she had a sibling until the a nursing omega became surogate mom to Meskeet and Cassole became enraged. Cassole took fine care of her and showed her off whenever she could to all members of the pack, especially the alpha female. She tried to become friends with her sister, but by then Meskeet was with Malady and Malady would only shriek and Meskeet would ignore her. Despite this she grew to love her sister and spent her puppyhood hoping Meskeet would return to the pack. She remained one to become easily sick throughout all her life and became depressed at Meskeet's leaving. When her mother died Mable was a young adult and decided that it was her duty to tell and comfort Meskeet. Setting out to find her sister the thought never occured in her mind that Meskeet would only laugh and continue to ignore her. With her mother's death she became even more depressed and decided Meskeet would be the only one able to make her truly happy again.
Fears: Seclusion and not finding Meskeet. Malady also scares her a bit, but she forgives Mal for all the problems she has.
Mable is: Devoted, cherishing, unable physically to fight and unable mentally to hate.
Post Color: Rosy Brown Family: Cassole, mother, Meskeet, sister, Malady, cousin, Talachi, aunt.

Liquid intake: Afraid of water, she usually drinks blood, occasionally her own.
Food intake: Eating just about anything except for whatever she is afraid of (usually) her favorite things to eat are ... pinecones.
History: Malady's mother had schizophrenia but was still held in average regards because she didn't run crazily around with it too often. Malady was born with one other sibling, but the sibling was drowned by her mother. One odd trait after another began surfacing in Malady and her mother took a small note in pride at what her spawn was becoming. She never knew her father because he was a lone wolf her mother had run off with before he died and she returned to her pack. Many stories were told to her by Talachi and the pup grew to have little fear of her packmates, frankly they were terrified of her. She was a young adolescent when drowned during a lightning storm. It wasn't too long after that her aunt Cassole had two pups of her own. Malady was terrified and sat shrieking as she discovered the freshly weaned Meskeet.
"Puppy! It's a puppypuppypuppy!! Get it away!" "Oh, but I'm not a puppy." "But you look like a puppy!" "But I'm not a puppy, I'm older than you, I'm your other aunt." "..you do look familiar." "Exactly. You can't argue it. Now come catch me something." "Yes Auntie."

Apparently she is slightly spiritual and believes herself to be able to talk to a dead wolf named Tick. The fact that her brother is unusually mean and that Tick herself was quite disturbed does little to put limits on just how far she is willing to go to accomplish something. While not crazed the to point of shear insanity Dune obeys whatever she believes to be Tick's wishes. Because she is often regarded as a possession to Jupiter she spends most of her time talking with and lsitening to Tick. She does not fear her brother, but by no means would she rebel against him. Meskeet
Friends
Phantom: Meskeet adores 'the Ghost'. She became quite attached to this male and was insistant on joining him. She sees him as a good set of structure and goals and doesn't seem to mind obeying him completely.
Ryukkii: Meskeet seems to like Ryukkii. She seems very cunning and Meskeet finds her easy to connect with, even if all they really did was talk and kill a rabbit.
Neutral
Buddy/Khaliki: A very nice wolf, almost too nice. Meskeet is suspicious of his kind behavior but doesn't seem bothered by him aside from that.
Oogie Boogie: Meskeet considers him the brawn, not the brains. While she finds him odd she doesn't view him as a threat and so doesn't mind his pressence.

Joining Phantom's 'group'Noyama (For Furekatsu~) Phantom didn't particularly enjoy hunting deer. Being the over-sized wolf he was, taking down some wandering fawn was an easy enough task. Difficulty wasn't the problem, just the fact it was boring. He always prefered the chasing, killing, eating of his own kind.
He'd tried to talk Voodoo--the friend and traveling companion he was currently hunting for--into changing his eating habbits to match his own, but no luck. Such a weak stomach.
No deer. No deer. No deer.
His bright red, creepy eyes gazed from place to place, but nothing turned up. It seemed like ages before he finally discovered a large rabbit hole, sticking his nose into it and sniffing a few times. No rabbit, damn.
"Is nothing alive in this part of the forest anymore?"Furekatsu Anjiru Padding loftily along Meskeet gazed curiously around her. Jumping back into a crouch as glanced hurriedly about for whomever had spoken. Creeping excitedly foreward she peered around the brush and spotted a funny looking fellow. Quite different from her indeed.
Sliding carefully down the rocks she failed to wonder whether or not this was a good idea. With no fear of this unknown male she stopped at the bottom and stared c**k-headedly at him. Noyama How bothersome. Voodoo was lucky he was good at manipulating, and also that he was mostly bones. Those were the only two things keeping Phantom hunting for him instead of eating him.
The ghostly figure drew back from the empty dwelling, shaking the dirt off his nose. Snort. Maybe a little farther north there would be something...
He sniffed the air again, the fur above his eyes raising. Ah, so there was something. A wolf something, but something.
He cranked his head every which way until he pinpointed the pups locating, eyes narrowing thoughtfully. There were still abandoned pups that wandered here? "What are you doing out here, you useless little thing?"
Not a meal worth catching, wolf puppies. Furekatsu Anjiru Meskeet's fur rose along her back, giving her a puffy appearance, and she hoped an intimidating one.
Glowering at him was all she could do to avoid saying something she shouldn't. "I may be useless, but you're an old fart. And what I'm doing is my business."
She disliked being called useless, it was a pointless insult. But she did find herself intrigued by this adult. She rather liked his attitude.
Thoughtfully she tried to think of something witty and impressive to say. "What're you looking for?" How could you beat that?
Noyama Phantom gave her an odd look. Was being old used as an insult now? Hm, oh well. He guessed he couldn't blame her for saying it, he was slowly but surely climbing up the age ladder.
Little did this pup know, aside from the wolves who followed him (in a way, he was like an alpha, but he didn't care much for the word), he rarely took the time to discuss things with others. Unless he planned on killing them, eating them or both. He had neither scheduled for this pup. Didn't look good, anyway.
"I was looking for food for a friend of mine," he answered simply. "You know, it's not smart for little ones to wander alone in places like these." As he spoke, he almost seemed to be taunting her, grinning the creepy sort of grin only wolves in such a disturbed mental state could pull off. "There are very unfriendly wolves around here..." Furekatsu Anjiru "If your friend needs you to bring them food then how am I the useless one?" She was still stuck sourly on that. But as he went on she quickly forgot about it.
His looks puzzled her, but she knew there was something to them. Suspiciously she watched him to see if he might reveal anything. At hearing of unfriendly wolves it became her turn to snort.
If the wolves were unfriendly why did he seem fine? Better not to ask.. Scartching her ear Meskeet gazed up at him with a bored and unbothered look. "Oh, you don't say? Where are these mean wolves? The only one I've seen so far is you." His grin was unnerving to her, but she was beginning to be quite taken with him, he seemed like someone who would be a clever leader, whoever he was. Oh, yes, who was he?
"Who are you by the way?" Perhaps this would help solve things. Noyama He didn't want to, but he couldn't help it.
Phantom burst into an insane-sounding fit of laughter. He had to admit, this one had more logic and attitude then most. He shook his and drew closer to her, lowering his face to her level and chuckling darkly. Something eerie gleamed in those red eyes of his.
"Little girl," he began. "I never said this friend of mine wasn't useless. In fact, he's a very pathetic being in certain areas." But, again, Voodoo had manipulation and acting skills matched by no other. At least, no other he knew.
Her question almost surprised him. Almost. He lifted his head and turned from her, moving on to the next rabbit hole only a few paces away. Unfortunately, this one turned up empty as well.
"My name is Phantom," answered the almost-alpha, his tone amused. "However, there's some who will speak of me as 'The Ghost'. I have many names." Furekatsu Anjiru A bit taken a back at this she was even more surprised at his coming so close to her. Staring into his eyes it wasn't until he began speaking again that her expression changed once more to that of suspiscion.
Taking mental note of his friend, and that he was still friend's with him, despite being pathetic, she began wondering where this said friend was.
Why does he have many names? Who calls him The Ghost? Unless he had others with him it sounded silly to leave his friend alone. After all he'd said his friend was useless, and that there wear not so friendly wolves about. Unless he was the not so friendly wolf it would all come across rather silly.
Reflecting against this for a moment she left him to his rabbit hole. Deciding things, however, she got up and began to follow him while pondering on it all.
Figuring it safe to assume he had a pack, Meskeet wondered vaguely why it was only Phantom out to hunt. "Why are you out alone?"
It didn't make sense. His pathetic friend had to be somewhere safe, likely with someone to watch him. Which meant others were there. And if his friend needed to be watched why didn't he? So there were very few answers as to why he would be alone. Unless he was by far worse than the lot of all the wolves out here.
Highly doubtable. He didn't seem to menacing. More..preoccupied. Noyama "That's more a question for you, don't you think?" Phantom countered, his voice a bit idle. As time passed, he seemed to pay less and less attention to what the pup was saying to him. His attention span was not a long one for boring things. Conversations with puppies qualified as 'boring' in his book--even if they were more-logically-than-normal puppies.
"Besides, I've told you why it is I'm out here." He didn't completely understand her question. The fact that being out alone himself could be dangerous wasn't one he could--or would--grasp.
Phantom was large and in charge. He was almighty, all-knowing. At least, he thought so, and if he was all-knowing, how could he be wrong? Ego-centric was just a creative word for being better than others.
"I'm looking for food for my dear friend," he continued. "Nothing out here is a danger to me, I have no reason to have someone come with me for something so simple. The rest of them are fine without me, if your concern is about their well-being." Furekatsu Anjiru Glaring Meskeet looked at the ground. She was becoming rather flustered with him. He wouldn't say anything of use, and if he did, it would be in bits and pieces.
Perhaps, she figured, she needed to figure out what in particular she wanted to know, then aim at getting it out of him. He seemed rather smart though, and she figured it wouldn't work, but prodding never hurt.
"So if they're fine without you, are you the useless one then?" She just couldn't quite get over it, as annoying as she knew it was. And she figured it might help him admit something, as he seemed to respond to stuff such as that. Proud, quite likely.
"Because if you are --" she paused thinking of the word. "if they are all fine without you why is it that nothing is a danger to you? I should figure you'd be important."
After a nagging moment she decided it wouldn't hurt to add, "And what is concern?" She felt stupid asking, but she hadn't really ever heard it before. Noyama To be completely truthful, Phantom didn't know why he hadn't turned around and knocked this annoying little thing half way across the forest floor (though she'd have probably hit a tree before that). Maybe she just seemed smarter than most of his lackeys--uh, friends.
The Ghost sniffed at the ground intently, ears lifting with the slightest hint of sound that could possibly mean food. Though the pup spoke, he seemed to drown her out and yet register what she said at the same time.
"You think too much, Pup," Phantom told her and moved forward a little. Here bunny, bunny, bunny. "None of my wolves are completely useless, though some of them lack abilities in areas I'd prefer they didn't."
Again, he drew forward, nose about dragging on the ground. "Important is a word for Alpha, my dear, and Alpha are horribly over-rated beings that plauge this Earth. And..." Concern, concern...
"Concern is a word you're better off not knowing. It is in all aspects a completely useless thing." Furekatsu Anjiru Frowning Meskeet decided to give up the subject for now. Likely she'd have better luck later.
With a little regret at not learning concern she became silent and watched him poke his head around.
Becoming interested in this she began to mimic him in his search. Sniffing around for scent of anything other than herself and Phantom she began to wonder if there was even anything down there. She didn't think so but wasn't about to voice her opinions.
Surely she was missing something though, so she stopped to watch him curiously to see what she was leaving out. He'd obviously done this before, likely with success, and she had little better to do than learn. Noyama Ah, silence. He treasured it so. Well, aside from the sounds his sniffing caused.
He assumed the pup had grown bored and left, but when he lifted his head there she was, mimicing his movements. How odd, this one. Again, his eyes knitted together in a thoughtful sort of way.
Now, it was his turn to ask questions. "Where is it you're from, Pup? Don't you have some pack to run along to before you get in trouble or...something?" Phantom didn't claim to know much about how packs were run these days. His little group of disturbed wolves didn't count as one, in his mind. Furekatsu Anjiru Not bothering to look up at him she continued musing about the ground. Snorting she sent a small dust cloud to rise about and looked distastefully at it.
"Where I'm from is not very interesting. I have no pack that I am aware of, and if I do it won't make a difference because I'm not going back." She answered flatly, as a small bug caught her eye while making its way hastily in the other direction.
Pouncing on it the pup gave an exasperated sigh at its being squished so easily. Turning her head this way and that she gave up on searching for rabbits and focused on bugs. They seemed to be far easier to come across. Noyama Phantom pondered telling her she wasn't all that interesting, to go away and leave him alone, but for some reason he held back from doing so. It sounded to him that if she did have a pack, she was mad at it for whatever reason and just in denial. Potential meal for him.
"Oh, really? And what do you plan to do?" His nose lowered to the ground again. Sniff, sniff. Still no deer or rabbits. Had he really cleared this area? How annoying. "Run around like an idiot until you starve to death?" Furekatsu Anjiru She raised her head to glower at him, as she seemed to be doing quite frequently.
The pup was grwing rather bitter as he himself could be taken as running aruond lke an idiot, sniffing the ground and argueing with her.
"I don't see how it matters any too you. If I have no other option then there surely has to be someone who will have a pack to provide for me until I'm a bit older and can leave. But I'm just fine so far on my own thank you very much."
She knew it was quite foolish to be alone, especially as a pup. But she hadn't liked any of the other wolves she'd come across and considered it highly unlikely that she'd happen upon some she did. Noyama "You're an annoying little brat," he commented in a surprising light voice, an odd look on his face. What a stupid little puppy. She knew nothing about the way his life ran--no, the way he ran his life, AND the life of quite a few others.
She'd be dead by tomorrow. Starved or killed by something, maybe frozen. And she'd have deserved it, too.
Suddenly, his head jerked up. The scent was faint, but enough to pick up on. Better than a rabbit, a deer. "Ah, there's one..." Furekatsu Anjiru Ignoring his comment she instead tried to follow his gaze. She didn't smell anything yet, but there was little in her that doubted him.
She wondered if he was always like this or if it was just her. Perhaps she did think to much. Either way if she was silent she was less likely to be pointlessly insulted.
So, she'd have to learn silence now. It couldn't be that hard, could it? Noyama Phantom stood completely still, completely alert. When he caught the scent again, he was sure of the location this time. "If you can keep up, you can follow me," he told the puppy in amusement. Should be fun to watch her try. And, if she didn't, he could come back and look for her corpse tomorrow. Maybe she could even survive on her own, it wouldn't be unheard of for a pup to do so.
In a blur of blue and white, Phantom was gone between the trees, his paws making a steady 'thumpthumpthump' sound in the previously silent air. Furekatsu Anjiru Meskeet lunged after him the moment he ran. His form was quickly ahead of hers, but with determination not to faulter she raced after him.
The one time she did stop out of confusion, for he had vanished, she searched hastily around for his scent. Catching it she quickly followed in hopes that she wasn't too late.
As his blurring tail came into view she broke into a made dash after him. Knowing she wouldn't yet be able to completely catch up with him she was content to atleast trail behind not to far from his hind legs. With great surprise she found she was able too and hoped it wouldn't be necessary to continue as such for much longer. Noyama Perhaps he had assumed she'd follow. Maybe he just doesn't care. Whatever it was that kept him from doing so, the Ghost didn't so much as glance over his shoulder while he ran.
His bright eyes focused on the land ahead of him, keeping the same pace the entire time. Due to his massive size it was understandable he didn't run as fast as a lot of other wolves, but he did run fast enough.
Fast enough to chase what it was he was after, should it even attempt running.
The male slid to a stop and lowered, moving forward and staring out at the grassy clearing. He'd wait until the pup had caught up. When she had, he leaned over and whispered hauntingly, "Watch, Pup, I'm about to teach you an important life lesson."
Dwelling the middle of the field before them was a young baby fawn, wobbling about uncertainly and crying out for a mother that wouldn't come. Furekatsu Anjiru With delight she slowed down and lay propped up on her elbows next to him. At his words she gazed out to the clearing.
She guessed his intentions and braced herself excitedly. After all, it wasn't everyday that she got to watch such an event.
Ansily she eyed the meadow and all in it, but she lay still and quiet. If not hungrily. Noyama Slowly...slowly...
In a sudden burst of speed, Phantom hurled himself from the shrubs that had kept them hidden those few, but intense seconds, and lunged at the helpless fawn.
The creature had barely enough time to cry out before it was mauled, falling over with Phantom on top of it. The wolf wasted no time, brutally ripping the unfortunate beings neck apart.
And then it's legs...
And it's ears...
By time he was done, a bloody and nothing below horrifying scene lay before the pup who's name he still hadn't bothered to ask. His light blue and white fur was stained with large spoltches of red.
He snatched one of the detached legs and slinked back over to the pup, opening his jaws and letting it fall infront of her. He lowered his face to hers as he had done earlier, and that gleam in his eyes was even more eerie this time.
"This is what happens to stupid little puppies who talk badly to me, so I'd suggest you straighten up when in my prescene." He straightened, and sharply turned, edging back to the slaughtered remains and eyeing them warily.
Could Voodoo even eat any of this now...? Furekatsu Anjiru Meskeet stared curiously, drawing slight pleasure from the mess, though she wasn't about to say anything.
In the back of her mind comments rang out, critiquing what he'd said and done, but from the tone of his voice she deemed it best not to voice any of them.
Hiding her amazement with a slightly frowning face she did nothing at hearing his words. He scared her, as he rightly should, but more so because she was intrigued by him and his actions than intimidation.
She avoided looking at him and instead took in the deer leg infront of her and the mess in the meadow. Despite being hungry she would not eat the leg now. If it was even for her to eat, she supposed if could have just been for effect. But the deer in the meadow.. How would he get it back to his friend? She intended to be there to find out.
Noyama Phantom had no master plan of how to transport the remains from the field to the place where his group of three or four (the number depending on if one of the less intelligent members had wandered off again or not) would be waiting. He didn't find any of them worth the time of thinking it over, either.
He came to a decision quickly and snatched the largest piece that was intact (and that he could carry), lifting it effortlessly and brushing past the pup.
Apparently, he intended to leave her there now with what was left of the mangled fawn... Furekatsu Anjiru Seeing his success she nibbly got up and mouthed the leg several times until getting a hold on it. She couldn't drag it as easily as he could, but she found if she jerked on it it would move where she wanted.
While this wasn't as quick a method as the other had, it worked fine for her. The pup wasn't too particularly worried about loosing him, as the piece he grabbed still reaked of blood.
Cheerily she followed after him, dragging and jerking her piece. Noyama This time, Phantom did look over his shoulder. That little brat was still following him? Wasn't feeding the thing enough to make it leave him alone? Red eyes rolled, and the large chunk of meat fell to the ground with a 'thud'.
"What do you think you're doing?" he questioned in a voice that held no tone and no hint as to what he expected her to answer. Furekatsu Anjiru Meskeet stopped and for a few moments didn't saying anything as she faced the much larger wolf. Finally she decided on her best plea.
"You said every member of your group was good for atleast something. Surely there will be something for me to add. Atleast, when you're all old, I'll be young enough to bend to your every wish."
She watched him with contained hope. His company really was better than none, and the pup couldn't help but learn from him. Noyama ... Blink.
It was all Phantom could do at first. Was she serious?
Maybe this little thing hadn't been as intelligent as he'd taken her for, originally. Who would ask to come with him? Someone who didn't know enough, he decided, wheezing a laugh and shaking his head.
For one, he was already old (as she'd pointed out earlier), but that was beside the main point. "Pup, I don't think you know what you're getting into asking me that. You've seen me hunt for Voodoo, now let me tell you what I eat: Wolves. Only other wolves. If you can honestly say you still want to follow me, I'll let you." Furekatsu Anjiru This she pondered for a moment. She'd never heard of wolves eating other wolves. But there had to be some reason for it.
As long as he didn't try to eat her she didn't think she'd mind to much. She was still here wasn't she? After all, Voodoo (she assumed the friend) still ate deer and the such, based on what she saw anyway.
"I will follow you." She knew it was true, she just hoped it wasn't going to be a bad decision. However, if Phantom was as powerful as he came off, Meskeet was quite sure most of the hard part was over.
Picking up the leg again she continued with her way of dragging and was soon at his side. Noyama If he was surprised, he did a good job of not showing it. The light wolf shrugged his broad shoulders and lifted the future-meal back up, continuing along, a bit slower than before. "Suit yourself," he'd said before he began his walk again. It was a short, but somewhat unpleasent walk back to the group. The icy wind had picked back up, stronger than before. Phantom's nose wrinkled back, but he didn't acknowledge the annoyance otherwise.
When he finally stopped it was in another small but treeless field similar to the one he'd killed the fawn in.
To the right, a black and white lynx lay on her back, gazing at Phantom as he entered. When her eyes landed on the stranger, they hovered there, unblinking. "Phantom brought something else with him," she commented.
Beside her was a wolf with such dark fur, had it been any darker he'd have been invisible. Except, of course, for his bright eyes. Such eyes that held many questions he didn't dare speak.
Phantom ignored them both, walking to the third--and for the moment last--member of the demented little group present. He dropped the hunk of bloodied meat infront of Voodoo and shook his equally bloody fur off. "Here." Pukio It was cool in the shade of one of the large trees, and Voodoo had set himself up accordingly in the midst of its twisted roots as he waited for Phantom. At the moment, he was impatiently tearing up a few mouthfuls of stubby yellowish grass, chomping at it irritably. He swallowed most of it. Phantom was taking forever. He was hungry, dammit.
He smelled the blood before he caught Phantom's underlying scent. The small dark colored wolf straightened and peered in the direction of the smell. He spit out a mouthful of grass and squirmed up onto his feet. Absently, he shook the dust out of his coat and padded in the direction. About time...
--he drew up to a sharp halt, ears snapping backward as he caught the smell of another wolf. It smelled young, if scents had an age. For a moment, Voodoo seriously considered giving Phantom his previously prepared 'What did I tell you about eating puppies?' speech, until he realized the smell was slightly too strong to simply be carried on his companion's coat. Voodoo recoiled. This better not mean what he thought it did. He was pretty sure their policy on adoption was one of the stricter unspoken rules between them.
As Phantom and the Thing finally came into sight, Voodoo's ears plastered back against his skull. His hackles came up and his tail poofed up somewhere around twice it's normal size. "What is that?" he demanded, in as close to an idignant shriek as he'd ever got. Furekatsu Anjiru Meskeet attempted to ignore the lynx, despite how odd it was, being as she'd never before seen one. The dark wolf she was able to look past with more success.
When they stopped infront of another wolf, she guessed Voodoo, she released the leg. She'd imagined the wolf to be quiet and nice, so much for that.
Attempting to ignore Voodoo aswell she simply stood next to Phantom, staring up at him and then around at everyone curiously. Noyama From Phantom's throat came a low, warning growl. To the others it was just that. A growl. But, Phantom and Voodoo had been friends (or something like that) who were in each others company long enough to know what a growl like that meant.
It said, without Phantom actually saying: Just eat the damn deer, Voodoo.
"It's a puppy, you idiot," he answered in a cocky voice before the growl had completely ended. "She wants to follow us. Isn't that cute?"
The lynx next to them emitted a loud, amused snort-chuckle sound. "Oh, really? What's your name, puppy?" Pukio Voodoo eyed the puppy with a mutely horrified expression. It was a puppy and it was FEMALE? Great, just. Excellent. Voodoo turned a sharp look back to Phantom, orange brown eyes narrowing pointedly. Lips drawing back in a silent snarl, he snatched at the hunk of deer hide and dragged it back toward the nest of cool ground and tree roots.
Fantastic.
Personally, he didn't give a damn what the Thing's name was. Maybe he'd chase it off when Phantom wasn't looking... Furekatsu Anjiru Staying stock still as he growled Meskeet felt a small bit of smug content.
Successfully keeping the wonder out of her face she examined the lynx.
"Meskeet.." It was said slowly, but not quietly, and the pup tried to stand taller. She was quite curious of the lot. The lynx was quite interesting, and she wondered at the thoughts of the beautifully dark wolf with such bright eyes.
Voodoo however she wasn't curious about in the slightest and was partially glad he'd stalked off. Noyama (Great RP! X3 I have to go take a shower now, though. Welcome to Phantom's demented little group of freak wolves (and lynxes), Meskeet. XD) Phantom smirked as his friend pouted and went away. He didn't like seeing Voodoo in a bad mood. Maybe he'd mangle some wolf later and give him one of their eyes as a present or something...
For now, he had to get the matter settled. "Oki," the unoffical leader called. The lynx said nothing, but had heard him. You always heard Phantom. Or else.
"Keep an eye on the puppy for me." Phantom then turned toward the darkest wolf of all, who had been staring at him nearly the entire time any. "Go and make sure that idiot Oogie isn't stuck in a ditch somewhere or something." The omega obeyed, and within seconds was gone.
Phantom trotted over to Voodoo, laying down beside him and yawning broadly enough to bare all of his sharp teeth. It was a fake yawn. "Voodoo," he began in an overly-friendly voice. "If I wake up and this puppy isn't still here, I hope you're not either, because I'll have to do worse to you than I did to this deer. And such an ugly fate this poor deer had."
He grinned and lowered his head between his paws. "We have potential with this little group of ours growing, you know," he pointed out for only his friend to hear. Potential for what exactly, only the two of them likely knew.
"Pup," he called out before his eyes closed. "Go to sleep right after you're done eating that. I won't slow down for you tomorrow." Furekatsu Anjiru (( xD Bye Noyama. ))
Meskeet listened to his orders to the lynx, Oki, and to the omega. She wondered briefly what Oogie was like, he didn't sound to promising.
At his orders to her however she brightened up and lay down to nibble at her portion of the deer. For a while she sat licking it, removing the dirt and getting a general taste for it. It was rather large and her teeth still weren't the biggest yet, but after much knawing she was able to get quite a good meal out of it. She didn't eat all of it and afterwards spent a short time looking around for a place to burry the remains until later.
But giving up on that she curled into an almost ball against the side of the remains of the leg. While she didn't fear any harm from Oki, she wasn't sure it would be the best of ideas to sleep next to her on the first night. Ignoring the smell the pup watched all the present members of her new company through half closed eyes. Soon she drifted contently happily into sleep.

Introduction: OogieNoyama (LMAO XDD WIN giant fuzzy bug thing.) "Keep your eyes infront of you. Keep your head up, too. Don't lower your tail so much. If your ears go down like that again I'll bite them both off, you understand?"
Phantom wasn't cutting the poor puppy any slack. If he thought she was doing something wrong, even the slightest mistake, he pointed it out immediatly and often times the demand to fix such a thing was paired with a threat.
This one was young, he could work with her, make her. She could turn out better than past, failed projects, otherwise known as Retsu. She could be Voodoo, but of more physical use. The first step was getting her to carry herself properly--like an alpha would, if he dared say such a word.
Due to being an idiot--or at least Phantom said so--the leader (not 'alpha') wasn't too surprised when he wasn't there for the pups first meeting of her new 'friends'. Backstabbing, demented, cannibal friends, but friends.
"He's a bit odd." And for Phantom to say such a thing, surely it was true. "Don't get intimidated. He's slightly over-dramatic as well, but if you want to rank over him later you best show what you have now."
As he finished speaking, cannibal and semi-corrupted puppy would reach the large field the group was found in many a time. The place he had told Oogie to meet him, and the place he'd stash his dead body if he failed to do so. Furekatsu Anjiru Obediently the pup raised her head and focused foreward. She'd been rather enjoying the wide array of plants and critters creeping around her but at Phantom's command she turned her attention to wherever he should have liked to direct her. Tail raised edgily upwards it stood nearly straight out behind her and swayed at the end. Ears down was the most hastily corrected error.
The world flared before Meskeet and she rather liked it. Holding her head high made her feel almost superior to all around her, excluding Phantom of course.
While the pup could find no solution as to why doing this was important to hunting she did not argue. Instead she quite liked the attention and strove to perfect all she was told to do.
Taking note of Voodoo the pup couldn't help but smirk at 'slightly over-dramatic'. He was surprised as she'd imagine a male to be if he had pups. It was delightful to toy with the idea of being above him.
Tenshi_Kuronaho Oogie had been waiting in the designated spot like he had been told, and didn't seem none too bothered that he was requested- or rather ordered- to be there. His tail idly beat against the ground beneath him as he toyed with a beetle that had happened to have crossed his path. Flipping it onto it's back by clicking his claw on it's horn, and then repeating the process when the beetle managed to regain it's balance. His ears flickered forward when he heard the sound of paw prints in the distance approaching him, and soon came the sent of a familiar wolf. Phantom was here. He quickly flicked the beetle back onto it's back and ate it with one fell gulp, before he slightly trotted forward to meet the two. He was curious as to who Phantom wanted him to meet. "Hey boss man, who's the pip squeak?" Noyama Phantom almost smirked as he watched his newest minion. Or 'friend', if that word suited you more. Yes, indeed, there was hope for this one to get what he wanted done. If things by chance continued, if the numbers continued to rise, they could definately take down Sashta and Ran at once, and anyone they were dragging along with them.
The pleased feeling he'd managed to keep ahold of as the puppy obeyed his every word faded so quickly it was as if it was never there. Phantom had to wince to keep from attacking the other male. Why was he keeping him around again?
"Phantom," he corrected, nudging the pup forward with his nose. "Tell him your name, otherwise we'll all call you that." Furekatsu Anjiru Meskeet's nosed turned up slightly more than it might have been required.
Eyeing him somewhat distastfully she stood as close to him as she hoped she would have to go. "I'm Meskeet."
Short and simple, no need to become to involved with this er..him. Surely there was something promising about him? Tenshi_Kuronaho Oogie couldn't help but give a little snort of a chuckle when Phantom said they would all call her that name if she didn't give her real one, and looked down to the pup as it spoke. His nose twitched a little as he sniffed the air, taking in the small pup's scent, before he sat down in a casual, comfortable way. "Meskeet, cute name rag doll." He then looked up to Phantom, ears twitching back slightly in a more respectful manor. "Oh, boss ma- er... Phantom. I took down a deer earlier if your hungry. The thing tastes so nasty I wound up leaving it behind that bolder over there and went to digging up ants." He said with a slight puff of his chest. It was a full grown female.. Maybe he was trying to show off the fact he had a little bit of bron in him? After all, that's the reason Phantom said he wanted him around. To beat someone up or something like that. Noyama Ah, that was it.
Phantom never took the male to have many smarts, but he had enough to know when not to push it, and when sucking up would keep him alive. At any given moment he could cletch his jaws and demand the others in the group kill one. Hell, even Voodoo.
The scary thing was they'd all do it, even Oki.
"I'm glad you're useful for something," he admitted in an annoyed voice. "But, I will remind you again and only this once more, I don't eat deer, rabbits, or anything like that." He nodded toward the mentioned 'boulder', gazing down at Meskeet. "Go eat." Furekatsu Anjiru Staring at Oogie in a slightly glowering disbelief. So he was the bulk. She wondered just how big the said doe was. And if it was nasty, why was it offered to Phantom?
Venturing abruptly next to the carcas Meskeet dipped her head and smelt it thoroughly. Finding the spot she wanted the pup settled decidedly down and began to gnaw on the animal.
It didn't taste nasty. Why would anyone prefer ants? Tenshi_Kuronaho Indeed, the deer had absolutely nothing wrong with it. But in the same way Phantom preferred the taste of other wolves to normal 'wolf food' Oogie preferred bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. He then watched as the little wolf walked off towards the deer, before looking back to Phantom. "She the newest member of our little group? Where'd ya find her?" He then wondered if he really wanted to know the answer to that question... "You didn't eat her parents, did you?" He said, making a slight grimace to the thought.. While inwardly he was betting himself 10 minutes in now thawing ice water in the lake that he did. But if that where the case, he doubted he would of brought the pup home, and instead had it for dessert. .. Then again, he didn't really know Phantom at all. Noyama Phantom shifted his shoulders and laughed. Oh, how he wished he could say that were true. Hell, the only thing that kept him from eating her was that she just didn't look all that good. "No," he answered, gazing around the large rock. "She told me she didn't have any, actually, I found her out by some field. She followed me, I didn't even force it on her."
A rarity with him. Voodoo had been some type of twisted friendship, and neither had really followed the other. Retsu he had forced to, same with Oki (though by threatening a friend of hers, because quite frankly he didn't doubt she could hold her own against him). It was because of Ran they'd ended up with Oogie, which he had to say was the oddest cause of all.
"Come back over here when you're done," the wolf called to the pup. Furekatsu Anjiru Having had her fill of deer the previous night Meskeet spent little time actually eating this one. And it struck her odd that if she was going to be the only one to eat it, why would it turn out to be so big?
Much of her time was spent gnawing with muffled sounds seeping between her jaws. She was practicing her growling, quietly. When Phantom had growled at Voodoo he'd done it so scarily, in her mind, that she was quite pleased to be able to try for herself.
Hearing Phantom she decided to give him a few moments before she should return. Licking the deer and then her paws she took her free moments to visually explore her surroundings.
Few places in her sight didn't offer taunting curiosity. Someday she'd surely discover all of the world that was around her.
For now she was content to rise up and stretch out all her legs and her back. With her ears foreward, her head high, and her tail hovering out behind her she seemingly trotted back towards Phantom and Oogie. Tenshi_Kuronaho Oogie gave a soft sigh of relief when Phantom said he had not made the young wolflet's parents his supper. His ears laying against his heads as his shoulders slumped with his exhale. He then watched as the little pup came back again, before letting his claws shovel grass from the dirt in a 'finger tapping' manor. "So she's gonna be staying with us from now on? Back where we sleep at night?" He mostly followed Phantom's scent around towards sunset, and would sleep in the same 1 mile radius. So he considered it their sleeping grounds. He really didn't know anything else to say.. What kind of conversations was he supposed to start with a tiny tot? They where mostly for bossing around. Least where he came from. Noyama 'We', at one point, had been but him and Voodoo. Since he left his friends side in the past only to hunt food for him, there were never any questions. Ever. He almost missed those days, even if he adored his newfound leadership above numerous others. Questions annoyed him.
"That's correct," he answered in a matter-of-fact tone. "She has a lot of potential. I expect you to teach her at least something useful. I don't see us getting another puppy in a while." Furekatsu Anjiru Unhappily Meskeet had to accept that she had been to late to catch any of their conversation. She'd heard them speaking, but hadn't been able to distinguish anything with her mind buzzing as it was.
Settling collectedly down she wondered if this was even acceptable to do. Examining Oogie for a while she eventually turned her gaze expectantly to Phantom. What would they be doing today? Tenshi_Kuronaho Teach her something useful? "Ah.. Yeah.. Yeah! I can teach her something useful. I'll show her all the exercises I do to get bigger. That way she can help take down any apposing threats when she's bigger." He was supposed to be the muscle man after all... He'd have to make something up to make her stronger. If he had another person to attack with, he'd have better chances of Phantom not realizing just how physically weak he really was. He then looked down to Meskeet, grinning. "I'm Oogie Boogie by the way, rag doll. I don't think I've told you my name yet.. Unless Phantom has." Noyama Actually, Phantom couldn't remember if he'd ever said his actual name as opposed to 'that idiot' or 'this moron' or something like that. His tail flicked. It didn't really matter. "Very good then." His tone was approving, his expression wasn't.
Suddenly he found himself remembering one of the reasons why he didn't care for puppies: They expected too much. Like, now, she expected to be doing something. "Teach her something now, she's bored." Furekatsu Anjiru At suddenly getting Oogie's attention her ears went instinctively down. He was far to strong looking for her to comfortably accept his grinning down at her.
She eyed him suspiciously, wondering what he intended to teach her. Tenshi_Kuronaho Oogie looked a bit.. um.... dumb struck when Phantom gave him the order to teach the young pup something now. He then glanced back at her again, thinking. "Um.. Sure.. Right! Teach her something to get strong." He then looked around, trying to think of something right quick.. "Um.. You see those trees over there with the really low branches? Go try and bite them and rip them off.. Yeah! It helps you work your legs so you can jump higher, and then strengthens your jaws and neck for ripping other wolves apart!" he then grinned to himself. Hey, he might of thought of something kind of smart.. Maybe he should try it. Noyama Oh, God, he'd thought of something. The penalty Phantom had in mind if he hadn't wasn't pretty. Let's just say it'd be a shame to waste a good meal because the stomach was full of bugs. He even thought that was disgusting.
"Do as he says," the leader spoke sharply, then moved away. He sat a few feet from his previous position, content to watch. And watch very keenly at that. Furekatsu Anjiru It sounded funny, and as Meskeet hurried at Phantom's command and as she lunged at a branch she felt quite silly indeed.
Ripping and tugging she succeded in pulling off a few branches. The ones closer to the ground were much wider, and so she spent a good deal more tugging on them than actually biting them.
Thinner branches were much easier, while she had to crunch down on any thicker ones. Preferance went out to any branch that wasn't bursting with leaves. They seemed to leave an awkward taste on her tongue that only mingled messily with any chips from the branches. Tenshi_Kuronaho Oogie gave a inward sigh of relief that they bought his idea as a training regimen, and then walked over towards the pup like some sort of instructor. His tail stayed down and his ears were cocked sideways, before he made a soft 'hmmming' sound. "Try ripping your neck from side to side more.. It'll help build resistance." Yeah, that sounded about right.. Build them neck muscles! Strengthen those teeth! Don't let Phantom realize your completely useless accept for hunting bugs and gambling.. Hey wait.. Okay yea, it's true. He was useless.. Least he was helping the pup get branches to make itself a bed with for the night. Noyama Phantom had never dissaproved of strange things. This method of training was that, but he could almost see where it would become of help sometime in life. He'd start her real 'training' some other day, some other time.
"I'm going now," he announced, snorting in amusement. "Come back to the field when you're done." Which meant soon, because Phantom didn't like to be kept waiting.
He stretched briefly and then took his leave, laughing as he walked away.
Life was good. Furekatsu Anjiru Meskeet attempted to do what Oogie had described. She was almost completely successful at it even. But as Phantom left she stopped and watched him go.
When she could no longer see him she turned to stare in turn at Oogie. Without a word she turned and dashed off in the direction she remembered Phantom's group to be in. (( Bleh, must do some hw now. Thanks for the Rp Noya and Tenshi. ^^ )) Tenshi_Kuronaho Oogie watched as Phantom left, and then none a moment later the little pup he would now call 'rag doll'. He blinked a few times.. "Maybe I frightened her?" He asked to himself, blinking. He then peered off to the dear carcus he had hunted down earlier.. Feh.. Maybe some wandering omega would find it and have themselves a meal. He didn't mind playing Mr. Nice Guy. He then picked himself up and followed after where Phantom went.. Most likely to retire. ((T'was fun RPing with you Fureka. whee ))
