She wasn't too far from the pride, she thought as she glanced behind her. From where Akahana stood, she could see the temple through the trees. This was the furthest she had ever been from the pride by herself. Usually she clung onto one of her siblings when adventuring into the jungle. However today they were busy with their clans.

Akahana enjoyed spending time with her clan mates, but she didn't want to annoy them by being around them too much. She did her best to give them space every now and then so they wouldn't get tired of her.

When she had free time like today, she would spend her time studying. Her sister Lore had been fascinated by the plants around the pride. She thought that maybe she would be interested in plants as well. However she wasn't even sure where to start. There were so many different plants!

“Where to start where to start?” she muttered to herself as she started walking slowly in a small circle, thinking about her option. She was concentrating on what she should do that she didn't notice some tree roots above the dirt. As she walked, her paw got snagged on one and she ended up tripping, falling face first into the dirt.

Astrith had been told she was being too hot headed. Told that she should think before she spoke. Told that it was inappropriate for cubs to be as "rambunctious" as she had been. Been told that she should probably go some place quiet and meditate on the code. That she should focus on achieving serenity.

What did that even mean?

Serenity.

SHE WAS A CUB!

Cubs were SUPPOSED to be silly and playful and probably rambunctious too...Whatever that actually meant.

So what if she had bit another cub's tail? They were going to push her! But when she'd tried to explain that to the teacher, she could tell they did not believe her. How could Astrith have known? It was not like she could see the cub and she certainly could not have known the cub was going to push her.

...But she DID.

She did know.

She always knew. It was everyone else that had no idea.

Why did no one ever believe her? Why was she always just told to settle down?

Ugh!

It was enough to drive her mad.

So the little cub had stomped off towards the tree line, assuring her instructor politely that she would meditate and that she was truly sorry for her behavior. She had been excused from class so she could seek inner peace.

...And she intended to seek piece, alright. Pieces of whatever she could find!

As a stick crunched under her paw she snapped it up with her mouth only to begin chewing and kicking at it as ferociously as she could muster, ripping at it with her back paws as she rolled on her back.

That was when the deja vu came to her again and the image of another cub stumbling flashed through her mind. She had barely gotten the words "BE CAREF-" out before she heard a thump that she was sure that same cub.

Tossing the stick aside, she padded over to the sound, forgetting her anger and she tilted her head to the side listening to whoever was close by.

"You alright?" she finally asked, repressing a smile at the cub's clumsiness.

Having white fur meant that the dirt would stand out on her, Akahana thought as she got up. She glanced over at the other cub and she could feel herself blushing from embarrassment. Quickly she started to brush the dirt off with one of her front paws. “I'm fine.” She managed to murmured out as she cleaned her face.

Falling was something she was used to. “I'm sorry if I bothered you.” Her ears bent back as she spoke. She hated annoying others with her troubles, especially those who were her age. “I'm Akahana by the way. I'm part of the Klipspringer clan.” She didn't want to seem rude to the other young cub.

“Are you out here looking for plants too?” She asked curiously.
