SO! I just got Elder Scrolls Online not long ago, and I'm very excited. Does anyone else in here play? I also find Skyrim jokes all the time and I would love to share them with anyone else that plays. I just enjoy talking about it really. smile

Im actually playing it right now. I had my doubts about it, as i liked Oblivion the most out of the Elder Scrolls, and Skyrim wasn't all that great to me. I'll admit i was a bit skeptical, but im finding myself to be really enjoying the exploration and crafting system. Im an Imperial, how about you? I play alot of MMOs.

The twilight punk *cocks shotgun and fires at lightning speed murdering the worst mmo to date* its ok folks I killed it *ESO attacks me cause its not dead yet* AHHHHH! *cocks my own admin-powered shotgun and aims it at him* Rule number 2 in the game corner sub forum submitted by Twilight himself clearly states "no starting flame wars" *smirk* I just knew you couldn't resist. *puts gun down and huggles him* but please. even if you don't like it, I do. and It's not as good as guild wars 2, but like I said before, gw2 messed up when they made it impossible for me to play solo and way to f*cking difficult to find other people around to help me get through all those cool maps and stories. Maybe if they reduced the amount of worlds or something. I don't know. but that's where they really messed up in that game. eso won't have that problem because it has a more classic level system. makes it harder to play with newer players, but at least i can still search out people close to my level. i'm not saying eso is perfect. it does have a damn fine crafting system though. better than gw2 by far. and who knows, it might even end up having a better pvp/war section. i haven't tested eso's out yet, so we'll see. in the mean time *shoves a cup cake into your mouth so you can't complain*

Tiny Canadian Im actually playing it right now. I had my doubts about it, as i liked Oblivion the most out of the Elder Scrolls, and Skyrim wasn't all that great to me. I'll admit i was a bit skeptical, but im finding myself to be really enjoying the exploration and crafting system. Im an Imperial, how about you? I play alot of MMOs. really? that's amazing! ^ ^ and i've only played skyrim before this. but i still super loved skyrim. i was sad that eso wasn't more like skyrim actually. the one thing that bothered me most about eso was they actually made "classes" rather than just leaving as open ended skills where you could just pick what you wanted. i'm fine with having those classes, but I wish it wouldn't restrict me. for example, i would be happier if i could have access to both sorcerer skills and dragon knight skills at the same time. but i can't. i'm not saying that's practical either, i'm just giving an example of how it feels like there is a lack of freedom there.
both my bf and i got the imperial edition, but he really wanted the physical copy. so he had to buy his from someone else who bought it. this means his is still being shipped to him since the game was only recently released. i promised i wouldn't start playing without him, and we played the beta together too. since my sister won't be able to choose any faction she wanted, we both decided to go with the aldmeri dominion. it's still early on so, if you wanted to make a character in that faction, i would love to invite you to the guild we will be running together. i will run the half that has everything to do with pve, and my bf will run the half that has everything to do with pvp. the guild will hopefully operate very well as a group in all ways, and it is meant to support all of it's members. i can totally add you if you tell me the account name you're using.
i am a breton dragon knight with heavy armor, dual weild swords, and the dragon knights fire skills. i want my crafting specialty to be alchemy and smithing. although i've been considering if it will be best to just go with one craft rather than two since i'll be needing lots of points for my weapon and class skills. what is your opinion on that?

I could go Dominion i guess, since i have the Imperial edition. I have a Nightblade archer that i PvP with right now, thats pretty much it. I might make a sorcerer for the guild if you would have me, but im not sure how long i will play the game for. : P
Yeah, what im gonna do is figure out what weapon i want to do, and then a crafting proffession. Probably for armor, since thats really good to do. Dunno about alchemy or how that works myself

I played in the beta, rolled a Nord -2H. It was really fun while it lasted, but I couldn't afford to fork over 60 bucks and 15 for every month after. Tried it with SWTOR and it crashed hard. stare
Hope you all have fun with it though! blaugh It's a solid game.

thank you very much apoc! ^ ^ (i don't remember what nick name you go by) if you do ever end up getting the game just let me know.
and canadian that's fine if you don't know how long you'll play. and i did a lot of experimenting and research on the crafting professions, so if you have any questions just let me know. as soon as i can get in game i would be more than happy to show you stuff and do stuff with you. on here i can give you helpful links or just briefly explain anything you want to know more about. just to say in advance, if you are a theif, does that mean you are doing medium armor? if so you'll need the crafting profession for clothing. the clothing one makes light armor and medium armor. heavy armor would be under the smithing skill.

oh i see. well. i haven't really had a chance to try out the pvp. i've been so caught up in the crafting and all. and even though i've played a ton of mmos before, i never get involved in the pvp aspects of them. so how exactly does the pvp work in eso? are there different skills? is it a totally different world or just a different map area (i assume that one)? how do you get to that area? is there a level requirement? if there are people way higher level than you do you just pretty much run the risk of getting your butt kicked? is it like...matches for a certain number of people to face a certain number of other people or just groups of people running around killing whatever crosses their path?

Been a fan of the series since oblivion. I'm not a very good social gamer though. I'm shy in MMO's for some strange reason. Is it p2p or free?

Well is alot like Guild war's 2 PvP, World vs World. You and your faction have territory in campaigns, and its much like a real war. You try and take land, seiging it. But there are three factions which usually leads to one faction getting a bit shafted. I think the campaigns determine the map you're on, but its a very mob based PvP. The level req is 10 but it boosts your stats to max, and yeah you do get a little buttkicked, but mostly everyone is around the same level anyways. To LuckyRabbit, its p2p. It most likely will go free to play or atleast buy once and play in its future. Id wait till then to pick it up if you aren't a very social gamer, im the same way. xD
