[Fight!] Behiye vs Omurtak

[Depawsit]

Enough small talk apparently, as both herself and Disin could see, they were now fully visible to the enemy. Behiye let out a snarling hiss as her claws dug deep into the dirt. Her heart was pumping adrenaline through her system faster than she could process it!

This was it!

It was actually happening!

A fight without her dad present to defend her!

This was her moment to prove herself, not only to herself but to her Father. Disin was here, and she knew the female would defend her honor should she earn it!

Pulling herself together quickly, Behiye gulped down her random fears and lept forward into battle with the male closest to her. He looked to be the older of the two, she could only hope his years meant experience. Because that's exactly what she wanted out of this fight. A fair one.

When Asil leapt for his target Omurtak's enemy was still too far away for him to reach her in one swift jump. However, the moment of surprise would soon be over, so he decided to jump down anyway. With a bit of luck she'd still be surprised and let her guard down. And if she wasn't, he could still defeat her.

He winced a little as his paws hit the ground with enough force to be painful. It would have been smarter to let another body cushion his fall, but he wasn't going to stand here and b***h about it. Nothing was broken, as far as he could tell. He snarled and attacked.

I hope you don't mind I filled the first one in. His muse is talking so I thought I'd seize the moment.

Behiye watched as the male fell before her on all fours, his size was definitely working against him at the moment! She wondered if somehow she could use that in her favor. Desperate for a tactic, the female arched her back and stepped backward a few steps. Inspecting her enemy from afar as he regained his composure for another attack.

She of course wouldn't give him the opportunity, but at the same time she was running out of options! She needed to attack and she needed to do it now! He was still recovering from the fall, and her Father always said she had a hard head...

Bingo.

Rearing back a few more steps the female inhaled a deep breath before ramming full force into the male's side, her claws digging deep into his flank as she made contact. It was a direct hit for sure! But just how much damage she had done, had yet to be seen. He wasn't showing any signs of pain or weakness just yet, how long could he truly hide those from her?

 

[Annchen]

The female had surprised him by her unusual attack. She had managed to dodge his attempt to attack her, and found an opening to counter attack. Her claws stung as they broke his skin, and she did manage to knock the wind out of him, but this wasn't his first fight. So, she had drawn first blood. It didn't matter. Omurtak rolled to the side, moving with her and letting the force of her attack work against her. He did open up himself to more clawing, but the reward for that pain would come soon. When he was on his back with the lioness more or less on top of him he kicked hard with both hind legs, hoping to hit something that would hurt.

She had him on the ropes now! Standing over him, as he tried to regain the wind she'd knocked out of him! Ha! If only her Father could see her now! Behiye had a defiant glare stuck in her eyes as she stared down the male, her own smugness clouding her thoughts just long enough for him to get his paws into the right position ...

POW

It didn't take much for the smaller lioness to go flying across the expanse, though she quickly clambered back onto her paws to face her opponent.

He wasn't about to get off that easily, oh not sir not one bit!

 

[Annchen]

It was verry satisfying to send the lioness flying, and judging by the look on her face she hadn't seen it coming. Omurtak scrambled to his feet and circled the lioness. He wouldn't let her surprise him like that again, and unless she was really stupid she would probably not fall for the same roll-and-kick again. The war-seasoned lion rolled his shoulders and looked for signs of weakness in his opponent. Hate burned inside, but he couldn't afford to forget his training. Oh, he'd mess her up. He'd make her bleed.

Behiye was furious and the fury was burning all over her face. She huffed as she pulled herself to her feet, the anger inside of her getting worse by the second. She wanted to charge at him, to attack at full force. But she needed a moment to recoop. To regain her breath and her strength. That knock back hadn't taken it all out of her, but she had certainly seen stars. It would seem as though the other was doing the same. Biding his time for a moment, most likely determining his next move.

She could feel her lips curling into a smile as she looked at him.

He was going to be so much fun to play with.

Omurtak had composed himself and for a few heartbeats he had watched his enemy. He could almost smell her hot rage, and it pleased him. Rage was powerful fuel, but it also tended to make the fighter stupid. He should know. The older lion liked to think that he was able to keep his rage cooler and more calculating. He would use her anger against her. The first step was the most critical, and would test his assumption that her rage and small victory in drawing first blood would make her underestimate him.

His advantage was his size, and he wanted to bring the fight up close and personal. He had seen the damage she could do with a bit of a running start. With a roar he charged, hoping that she'd take the bait and meet him. If she did, she would soon find herself in a hateful embrace. In a shoulder lock they'd both be close to each other’s face, but he had a mane protecting his neck and she didn't.

His roar shook her eardrums with a fury she'd rather not here again. Her eyes winced shut as she tried to ignore it but it was just too damned loud. Slowly her eyes opened, but hardly in enough time to warn her of the danger approaching.

He'd alreayd begun his charge, and here she was still cowering over a simple roar!

Shaking herself free of her ridiculous gripes and complaints she did the only thing she could think to do! She took the bait so obviously laid before her, and charged right into the fray.

The two of them met right in the middle of the field, their bodies locked together as their paws fought for dominance over one another's. He was stronger than her, and had the advantage. He knew it too, she could see it in his eyes, but she wasn't about to let him see it in her's. She tried to clear her expression of anything but the blind fury she felt, but there was no way of knowing if she'd truly done what she wanted. For now all that mattered was keeping him at bay, and potentially knocking him off his guard.

It took a few heartbeats for Omurtak to find his footing. Standing on his hind legs wasn't a natural pose for him, so he held on to the weaker female and positioned his feet to be as stable as possible. He tried to keep his head turned so she would only get his thick mane in her mouth if she tried to bite him. It meant he couldn't really bite anything, but for now he was content to lean hard on her, dig his claws in and make her life miserable that way.

If they toppled over he wanted to make sure he was on top, in a position to do some damage.
