so firstly, i definitely should not be doing this. but i'm going to do it anyway! i must warn you all though, i am terribly, incredibly slow. be it from writer's block, having other things to worry about, or just not wanting to post, i'm slow. so please, be patient with me!

some of you may know already, my name is alex. i'm seventeen and a senior in high school. i live with my dad at his parents' house, and cal my little room my 'hole in the wall.' posters are plastered over the majority of the wall, all of them of bands including the summer set, pierce the veil, black veil brides, sleeping with sirens, falling in reverse, etc, etc. i quite enjoy post-hardcore music and anything related. right now, i'm living in leggings and big sweaters, and happy about it. once again, i'm terribly slow.

who was she?

As per school tradition, a Masquerade Ball is held each February, right around Valentine's Day. And by masquerade, they really mean masquerade. Beautiful dresses, stunning tuxedos, masks, everything. So there's no telling who you're really with, who you're really talking to.

So, what happens when you fall in love with a girl behind a mask? Because that's just what he did. They bumped into each other on the dance floor, and it was like they were caught in a snow storm, no way out. But, dances don't last forever. As the last song plays, he pleads to know who she is. To know the name of the girl that took his heart in one night. But all too soon, she's pulled away from him. And he never got her name.

Skip ahead a month or two, and he's still hung up on her. He can't get the image of her green eyes out of his head. All he hears is her soft voice in his ears. Needless to say, he's just a lovesick fool. And, more of a fool than he knows. Why? Because the girl that he fell for is his very best friend. And he has no idea that it was her.

Just goes to show how much he knows the girl, right? Though, it shows just how much she knows him, since she knows exactly how to keep it all a secret. But, when all he does is talk about the girl he fell for that night, can she really keep her own feelings under wraps?

for as long as she could remember, she's been used. by everyone, and everything, be that as a toy, or simply a prize to be one. it's all that she's ever known, so she finds nothing wrong with it. she sees it as simply helping out. but, once she reaches high school, she finds that things start to change. the using, it's different. and it's in a way that she doesn't like at all. but of course, she's not going to speak up about it. she thinks that it's right that people use her like they do. so, she goes along with it.

that's when he is painted into the picture. she sees him as just another person that's going to get something out of her, use her however he likes, so she doesn't bat an eye at him. he'll be just like all the rest. so, when he doesn't use her to get what he wants, she gets terribly confused. isn't he supposed to use her? supposed to twist her to his whim? this one boy puts an entirely different idea in her head. and that's when she starts to realize that everything is all wrong. that her entire life has been taken from her.

so, her new favorite word? no. his kindness opened her eyes, and she won't put up with it any longer. but soon enough, she finds herself flipping to the other side. instead of being the one that is used, she's turning into the user. and she's using him.

is there really any to show this girl what's right, to show her that there doesn't have to be any using on either side? one things for sure, she's keeping him on his toes and trying.

He can feel himself slipping under. Day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, he's just falling farther into the darkness. It's eating him up, tearing him apart, and he hasn't the slightest idea how to fight it off, so he lets it take over. Hurting himself, even trying to kill himself a few times. And by failing to do so, he just thinks he's even more worthless. Not helping him at all is the fact that everyone is hovering over him and practically pleading for him to just disappear. To wash off the planet.

With nothing to hold onto or to make things better, he's done trying to stop it. It's not like he can. When he gets into one of those moods, he just lets it take over. Pull him to the bottom. Make him hurt himself more, make him think that he's nothing and nowhere. There's a part that's nagging at him though, the feeling that someone else is watching. Someone that could actually be important. And that someone is her. She's always been watching, ever since they were little. Watching him decline from the happy little boy he was to this suicidal teenager strikes a chord in her heart, and she vows that she is not going to let him jump off the cliff in his head. No, she's going to save him before it's too late.

Worming her way into his life, she slowly starts to make him feel like everything is okay. Like all this pain and suffering that he's going through isn't going to be there forever. And after sharing her own depressing stories, he feels that they are almost the same. She just takes all the pain away from him, and makes him feel like he's higher than the clouds. So maybe she can save him before he becomes his demons.

He honestly thought that they had something perfect. She was so nice to him, like no one ever was before. She made him feel good about himself. Though, he was always curious as to why she made him act like someone that wasn't himself when her friends were around, or why she wouldn't tell him what bothered her or about her family. It was strange. But he was starving for her attention, he needed her to think about him and care about him. And she was practically begging for his affection. Like she took joy in the fact that he crawled in her bed every night. Like she thought that what they had was going to last the rest of their lives. And a part of him thought that it could last that long too.

Her friends always told her that dating him wasn't a good idea. They warned her that things wouldn't work and in the end it would be ugly, but she didn't listen. Since when did she listen to anyone anyway? Her friends were silly to try to convince her to cut it off before it was too late. If her relationship was what they called suffering, then suffering was easy with him. He never questioned her, unlike guys before him. But when he starts to cling onto her for dear life, she starts to wish that they never met back in that empty ghost town. When they met, she thought that the relationship could be perfect. The way he held her, she felt like she could never be let down. But maybe, his touch was just the kind of touch that she was waiting for, and his clingy ways were always there, even if she couldn't see them until it was too late.

Maybe she should have listened to what her friends said for once in her life. All he seems to do now is question her, and it's making her lose her mind. She could practically feel his pain of not knowing burning inside her. Burning all around her. She refused to let him in though, to tell him anything. Why did he need to know about what happened if it didn't have to do with him? At least, that was her way of thinking. And he was going to make him feel that way until she was six feet under. Turns out her mind wasn't as clean as everyone thought it was, and was just as dark as his. He just taught her how to use that mind.

To her, it turns out, he's nothing more than a voodoo doll. Someone to manipulate to do whatever she wanted. And he complied without argument. So, what happens when he finally says no to her? Something that she never thought would happen, one of those "when hell freezes over" or "when pigs fly" kind of things. Who would have thought that one simple, two letter word could tear her world apart? After all, she's always gotten her way. Who is someone like him to tell her no?

Everyone is different, no two people being completely alike, no matter how much they might seem to be. Even so, it seems like everyone sticks together like they're the same person, all doing the same things to be "in." With these select few, that isn't something that they're very into. They're always breaking out - it's the only way that they can really feel alive. Everything in the crowd is all pretend. Like all of those people actually like each other or all the things they do. Outside, everything is real. Sure, they might smoke and drink occasionally, maybe even have some no-promises-after sex, but its all real.

All it would take is one person to give in to who they are, and the rest would surely fall like dominoes. All their eyes would open and they would finally breathe in what they really want to be. The trick is, keeping their eyes open and keep them breathing. Something that's easier said than done. And if they do so, they can fit in so easily with that little group. Because there is no fitting in. If you are who you really are, you belong. You're one of them.

So, just one person starts to change into themselves, and the shapeshifting begins. Everyone starts to lose the fear of being who they want to be and not being with the "in" crowd. They find friends that they never knew they could have, and realize that they're so much safer being who they are than being something that they're not. This is happening.

But, maybe everyone is a bit of an overstatement. See, breaking out from the pack isn't really something that you do. After all, who wants to be outcast from the people you call your "friends" because you're not in the group? No one, that's who. Except for a couple, that is. They want to take a breath of the other side, and try to be themselves for once. After all, they're never really fit in with any crowd. So, why not give it a try, and join this group of seemingly misfits that know just who they want to be, and have some fun?

to start, she really doesn't want his money. he's hot, she needs some fun, and she's a little too considerate to take money from someone that definitely seems like they need it. besides, she had her own money. the icing on the cake though was that he seemed to think that he had to lie to get into her pants. like she expected anything more than a night out of him in the first place, that was a joke. she wasn't his girlfriend, and she never planned on being it in the future. she didn't need any fancy things, all she needed was to get in between his sheets. she just wanted his dirty love.

at least, she thought that was all she wanted.

They're in love. Best friends to high school sweethearts, things couldn't be any more perfect for them. They're positive that they're going to be together forever. But when a new guy shows up in town senior year, things... change. She starts to pull away from him. They start fighting. They break-up. And no sooner do they do so that she's dating the new guy. Completely destroyed, the now ex decides that he's not going to try to get back at her. No, living well is the best revenge after all. But when he sees how the new guy is treating her: showing her off like a prize, flaunting her around to get the top, and it makes him... angry. He thought he moved on, but has he really? While he's thinking about how he feels, she's just as conflicted. She regrets all that she did. She regrets pulling away, the arguments, the kicking him out the door. Who she's with... he isn't right for her, and she knows it. But she can't get out of the relationship. He's threatened to destroy her reputation, and with how fast he's climbed the social ladder, he absolutely can. She can't stop thinking of her ex, and now she knows that he was right. Are things too late to fix, is she going to lose him forever? Or maybe, by some miracle, she can get back to where she knows that she belongs. Back into his arms.

song based are always fun to do. i find them easier to get into a lot of the time, and easier to post in. just put the song on repeat and go, ya know? a few up there are song based. i'm always open to ideas of any kind, so throw out anything you might have. anything based on a song from pierce the veil is so very welcome <3

aside from song based, i can always get into a good werewolf role play. be that werewolf and vampire, or werewolf and werewolf, or any other variation. i love those. medieval has been a bit iffy, it would have to be a good plot.

anything real life is freaking awesome. the more realistic, the better ya know? speaking of realistic, i prefer real pictures. however, i can break out the anime if you would like.

as anime goes, i haven't watched a lot. throw one out, i'll research, and we'll see. i have watched naruto, soul eater, black butler, diabolik lovers, anohana, free!, and sailor moon. that's all i can remember at the moment.

things based off of movies/books and television shows are cool too. the mortal instruments, harry potter, the hunger games, falling skies, revolution, sleepy hollow, etc, etc. i have not watched supernatural or the walking dead though. but zombies are cool, i like those.
