I found a shiny Furfrou on my first play-through. Haven't been able to find any shinies on my second.

shiny furfrou?! Do you still have it?!

Yeah, I traded it to my friend when I restarted my game and then traded it over back to me.

would you be willing to trade an untrained modest shiny blastoise w/ blastoisinite for it?

Sorry, I'm pretty attached to this Furfrou. I used it for my first playthrough and took down the Champion with it.

Apparently players and eggs are assigned shiny numbers, and if they match when the egg hatches then the pokemon comes out as a shiny. The linked page also has a link to a tool to find your shiny number, the shiny number of eggs, and checks the IVs for you. With a large enough community of cooperative players to hatch eggs and then trade them back to you, it is slightly easier to get perfect shiny pokemon. Now, the number assigned to you is anywhere between 1-4500, so you would need a rather LARGE community to make this easy...

Anyways, found this when browsing around and thought it was relevant. Might explain why I fought two people in a row who had a shiny Aegislash on the battlespot... That, or it really was just a freak coincidence.

That's really interesting, but it would still be a lot of work to get in contact with whoever has the right number. Would they try to make this community on Reddit? Not sure that would work out haha

Friend of mine caught a shiny Vanillite and gave it to me. That's the only shiny I've seen in the game so far.
After I beat it I kind of abandoned it since Phoenix Wright came out and then Rune Factory and now Zelda and yeah.. >.>;

I caught Timid, calm, and rash natured ones. I kept the Timid. C: And the timid had outstanding stats according to the checker in kiloude.

I found a shiny Illumise and bred a shiny Elekid in X. I didn't know I had a shiny Hippopotas in my Y until I almost traded it away. Thank goodness I saw the red star.
