Welcome, to any who might be interested, this is an RP that originally started out as a 1 on 1 RP between myself and The Last Czarnian, but we have decided to open it up too anyone else who would like to join us. Please don't make this your top priority, make 'City of Gotham: Anarchy Reigns' (our current main event) to be the one held in higher regard, but if you'd like to join in this little storyline and you have time in between, by all means, please do so.

The Plot:
After many years of struggling to bring Gotham out of its slum ridden poisonous funk, Poison Ivy has finally acquired knowledge on the whereabouts of a rare artifact called 'Demeter's Core' little is known about it, other the fact that it was crafted in the earliest of ancient Greece, and that when whelded by someone of immense power, can have miraculous effects in healing the earth, but at a devastating cost. History speaks of a great plague that arrived seeming to stricken humans with strange afflictions, making them appear like living plants, mutating them, and the Queen of the Wilds, Ivy seems hellbent on acquiring the Core for her own devise. Knowing the risks, she has gone to speak with Penguin, for whom has many contacts, some of which know how to contact a certain Bounty Hunter...Lobo, to help her acquire the artifact, and work alongside her as a sort of bodyguard. Will her plan be foiled? Or will it be executed...shifting Gotham into an oversized Greenhouse?

User Image ”—I’ve done as you asked Pamela, I imagine you’ll be getting in contact with him soon enough,” the rotund man behind the desk uttered gently puffing at his long draw. She had never had anything against Oswald, if anyone had known how to get in contact with the right people, who knew how to contact Lobo, it would be the industrious Bird, but for now she wanted nothing more then to be on her way. ”—Are you sure its Lobo you want though, I mean…he has a bit of a dangerous history…” he warned, arms folded across the desk over a sea of unkempt papers, it was a wonder how he even managed to get anything done. ”—I know,” the sultry red head replied firmly, ”—I’ve dealt with him the past…I guess you could say we have a small History,” if you considered meeting him once a history, with someone like Lobo, she certainly felt they did, ”—Besides, this operation is a bit…touchy. I need the best, and if I have to sell my soul to get it…by god I will,” she stated, shifting her weight onto her left side, by soul…her weight in gold, his services didn’t come cheap, but after she had knocked over the Gotham city Mint, she’d have enough gold bullion to appease the Hunter, of this she was sure. ”—I’d ask if you wanted to stay and wait for him here, but…” Ivy would smile, and shake her head no, ”—It’s fine Oswald, I know your customers here at the Lounge have seen strange in Gotham, but seeing an Alien riding on a rocket powered motorcycle, I doubt they could comprehend,” she chimed, ”—I’ll see you around,” ”—Certainly, just remember what I said…” ”—I know, I know…you need a favor, I owe you one…I won’t forget,” stepping out of the plush office at the back of the Iceberg Lounge, she descended the stairs, and made her way out towards the direction of the street. Normally she wouldn’t have liked being in Oswalds pocket, owing him a favor when he needed one, but for now, she couldn’t wait for her item, the item that could change the face of Gotham forevermore, simply she’d deal when the time came, considering if it ever did. Stepping outside into the cool nighttime air, she began to walk down the sidewalk already plotting her best course of action, hoping the people that had supposedly gotten in contact with Lobo, had actually done so…she needed to hire him, and she needed only the best…

It was past midnight as the Czarnian bounty hunter received the message. Somewhere off in the South out in the Arizona desert an alien gun for hire rested snoring loud like a trucker horn. He hadn't slept for some time and with the yellow inferno out of the sky now was the perfect chance to catch up on some much needed rest. A bottle of Absolut in one hand dangled over the edge of his bed, the small shack he was in provided the basic nessecities of a temporary shelter. It was cramped and smelt of bacon. *ZEET* *ZEET*
The PDA rang loud interrupting his slumber. A fresh pulse of anger flooded into his mind upon wakening up to such a horrible sound. Lobo muttered something in his native tongue while activating the PDA and reading what was his latest potential assignment.
Whomever had contacted him wanted an audience with him...and in Gotham? Gotham wasn't his regular hang out place. Unlike the city Metropolis, Gotham was the exact polar opposite. Where things shined bright and true; Gotham was a run don cesspool of crime. It sounded like the perfect place for Lobo. Enough wealth and vice to keep him entertained for centuries. Not that he was in any finical crisis Lobo would hear out whomever wanted him. Perhaps if the job sounded good enough and the pay was decent they would have the bounty hunter.
Stumbling out of bed and onto his bike Lobo was half awake half drunk, but to him it was all the same. It took merely a few seconds as the hulking alien punched in the right specifications into his space hog before taking off into the night sky. A cloud of ions and smoke being left in his horrifying wake as he headed towards the city of crime and villainy.

It didn't take long for him to arrive there. Upon arrival Gotham smelt....funny, whatever it was the Czarnian couldn't put his finger on it. Toxic. Maybe it was the smog, crime, or just plain air but something about this city smelt dirty and unclean not that Lobo had any real preference about it.

Out in the distance the alien spotted out the abandoned Greenhouse off in the distance. For a quick moment his mind went back to him first meeting the green goddess, Poison Ivy and just how cooperative she was with his whole assignment. Normally violence followed him especially when doing his job, it was one of the many perks. However, this time she seemed much smarter than his other advesaries and provided the plant to him with no resistance at all. Perhaps when he was done hearing out the potential customer he would swing by and see how she was faring.

He guided his space hog down into Gotham landing it right on the outskirts of the city at the docking bay pier 13. It didn't specify where exactly to meet but this place seemed good enough. Open spaces and nice and secluded, perfect for a secret arrangement. He parked his bike and sat there leaning back against the back support lighting himself a cigar while waiting for his would be potential employer.

User ImageA place of meeting hadn’t been provided, after all for Ivy, it wasn’t needed, on her way back home to the Greenhouse, she heard the loud rumbling, like an earthquake in the sky, a grand storm about to explode into being, and she looked up spying none other than the man she asked for tearing by across Gotham cities bleak crowded skyline towards the Docks, ”—Thank you Ozzie,” she uttered with a small delicate ruby lipped smile. Settling beside a weed choked lot, she drew in a deep breath and shut her eyes, and began ‘traveling’ it was a new state of being she had come into, something she imagined had been tamed over the years of her new existence as a hybrid. Through each plant she seemed to move, seeing the world around her in shades of green, the borders blurred…though each time she passed, she kept a look out for the man she was looking for, until finally when she passed through the body of weed clinging to life along the Warehouse walls, did she see him, a further search in the area, and she was returned back to her body, ”—Pier 13, perfect…” having read the bold lettering on one of the signs, thankfully it wasn’t a terribly far walk, and with the pace the city had slowed down too in the area she moved, she didn’t have to wait long for traffic lights, or crowded streets. A few blocks walk straight was all it took, before she arrived in the area of her acclaimed destination; Ahead of her she noticed the crystalline flicker of lights dancing on distant black night time waters, the scent of salt and brine could be caught in the air, the creaks and moans as the water washed against the docks, she was approaching the Dockside area, dangerous for anyone who wasn’t part of the Gallery, thankfully in these long years Ivy had made a name for herself, and it carried deep through the underworld, now days only thing she had to fear was her fellow Gallery members wanting to bury her six feet under where the sun didn’t shine.

Looking around, eyes wincing slightly against the nights darkness, she looked to her right, easily spotting the Hunter, he was indeed a man of immense size, the type that never needed to worry about hiding, not that now he needed too considering why he was here, for a bounty. ”—I’m glad you made it,” she chimed, hips swaying slightly as she moved towards him, fire red hair cascading down the small of her back tangled about vines and wild flowers like some Greek Nymph out of Demeter’s garden, as ever she was lovely, and as every bit dangerous. Had she not been born into this century as a criminal mastermind, she could have easily been on some medieval battlefield, riding a horse hard into battle and cleaving heads off enemy troops.

Upon Ivy's stellar arrival Lobo turned his head towards her direction. Arms crossed and leaning up against the wall, the bounty hunter was quite shocked to see Ivy. "Hey there precious. Aren't you a surprise?" It had been a few days since they had last seen each other but to him it felt like an eternity. "Planned on coming to see once I took care of some business." Who ever was going to hire him was taking their sweet time getting there. Impatient and eager to make money Lobo had already smoked through 4 cigars and was on his last two. The smell of burnt alien spices lingered in the air around him giving off a strong overbearing smell.

The docks for the most part where quiet, besides the ocassional splash from a wave every few seconds. He stood underneath the a yellow street lamp attached the the warehouse as it shinned down a bright yellow light. Only a few meters away his space hog sat in the shadows next to a row of cargo crates.

This was not his city. Not by a long shot. He sorta missed Metropolis, there was always something to blow up or some Kryptonian to punch in the face. Gotham seemed like it's depressed dirty cousin with nothing to offer. At least there were rich people. Upon arrival Lobo wanted to go check out the casinos and maybe rob a few of the rich and famous. He had heard Bruce Wayne was in these's parts. Earth culture was different but familiar to the Main Man. It was a place that he could adapt to somewhat. The vices were his favorite. If it wasn't for the damn league he would have probably set up shop in Las Vegas and called himself king like he did as Nabob. But his mind lingered. Snapping out of whatever he was doing deep in thought, Lobo watched Ivy not sure what to expect. It would be hard to miss her, if it wasn't her looks or green skin then something must have been wrong with the person then. "Anything I can help ya with?"

User ImageHis greeting and pet name towards her made her smile, those rosy red lips twisting full and luscious like ripened cherries, ”—Always a pleasure to see you Darling,” she cooed, with her equally zealous title, seemingly content in knowing he would have paid a visit if it hadn't been her doing the calling. Moving over to his position, she tipped her red haired head upward looking up at him silent for the moment, ”—Actually yes, I’m happy knowing Oswald isn’t completely full of s**t, when he says he knows people, I won’t think less of it anymore…” pausing only a moment, to express herself, she would quickly continue before he asked her to explain further, ”—I’m the one whose to be giving your payout, I have the briefcase back at my greenhouse, it isn’t far from here, I just don’t trust carrying that amount of money around Gotham, even with my…talents,” she chimed. Settling against the wall beside him, long legs crossed at the ankle, she fold her arms across her chest and explained why it was she needed him, ”—I’m in need of a small trinket, an artifact called ‘Demeter’s core’ now I can get the item myself, no sweat…the problem is it’s a delicate thing, if it hits the floor too hard, comes in contact with a bullet…it might be destroyed…and the building in which its in is heavily guarded, you know…” she started, explaining with her hands somewhat rather dramatically, ”—The usual, big guys, with big guns, I don’t really care what happens to them honestly…but I need some muscle to keep me covered when I go into snatch the prize, I need the best…my first thought was on you,” she stated, twisting her lovely face up to meet his own, vibrant green eyes glinting slightly against the dimmed lamp lights, ”—I’ve never needed any work like this done before, any help I mean…I can usually do it on my own, so I’m not sure…what sum is acceptable?” she’d leave it up to him, the item was really worth it.

Lobo took a long drag on his cigar, not that he was suppose to inhale, but his mind was in other places. Despite her being a friend he did love money. Not that he had much use for every dollar unless buying some top of the line new tech. His love of the job is what got him through. "We talkin one job or a whole operation......For a job I'll do 100 grand...For the whole operation I'll charge 300 grand." The price was..lower than what he would have usually demanded but this job seemed like a cake walk, just keep Ivy safe. The cops around these's parts didn't appear to be as meta-human prepared as the one's back in Metropolis. "You got yourself a deal." The Last Czarnian stuck out his hand towards the little green lady ready to make official this agreement. His gear, or atleast some of it, was in the storage or either strapped to his space hog. It didn't matter what she planned to do as long as he was getting paid somehow or someway.

Ivy wasn’t exactly sure what she needed Lobo for, she did know for sure that she needed some muscle to acquire the item, but anything beyond that…”—I’ll tell you what, 100k it is, if I need you for anything else…” she stated, voice shifting on the second half, lower in tone, ”--which good chance I will, I’ll throw in that extra 200k,” she suggested, lifting once more from the wall, only to turn slightly and reach for his offered hand, shaking it. Despite their relationship, Ivy wouldn’t have felt right not paying him, after all, the man had to earn a living like everybody else. ”—Wonderful,” she chimed, already moving back on foot, ”—I have to head back to the Botanical Gardens real quick before we set out, if you’ll come with me, I’ll pay you the 100k upfront, I’ll assume you’re not going to bail out, and leave me high and dry?” she knew he wouldn’t, it was a bit of a rhetorical question, but it would still go said regardless. Lobo seemed to be a lot of things, but he certainly was honorable and dedicated to his job, she’d give him that. ”—We’ll have to walk there, or…” she uttered, tipping her red haired head to the side, and popping a glance at his bike, ”—We could just take your ride, too and from where we need to go? I’d suggest my wheels…” it was a fact and there was no getting around it, so she’d just say it, ”—It’s probably not very comfortable,” considering his size.

She was being quite generous which was something that Lobo kept in mind. He would more than delighted to work for her, especially if she was going to throw in something extra. Failure on any level would not be tolerated, not that it ever was though. "You can pay me when the job is complete." Payment in advance was always a good thing but there was no rush, there would be hardly anything in Gotham that could pose a threat. Not even the rumors of Batman seemed to scare him. What was he going to do to a 6 foot immortal alien, throw batarangs at him? His mounted machine gun on his wrist was all that he needed that and his good ole trusty chain. "Where will we be operating?" Lobo asked curiously wishing to know.

She was about to move on foot when the question came up, which she knew would, it was just a matter of time, ”—Arkham Asylum,” she stated rather simply, she had been just as shocked to discover the item was in the loony bin, probably tucked away in Mr. Arkham’s little stash, but that didn’t make her under prepared. The Asylum was strange, it sometimes did funny things to her, almost made her wilt like a flower without the warmth of the sun, they could do it however, she was sure of it, which was why she needed the best. Whether they chose to take Lobo’s space Hog, or they walked, it wouldn’t have been long before they arrived back at Ivy’s Greenhouse, and just as she had promised (though they had decided it would be later) beside her locked safe, wedged against a sofa that seemed hardly used, was a black leather briefcase, currently empty, but bound to be filled sooner or later, ”—Make yourself at home if you like, I won’t be but a moment…just watch the Ficus, it hasn’t been fed today,” she uttered off handedly while dipping into one of the rooms, the sounds of shuffling, and the moving of objects sounding, as if she was trying to acquire something she had hidden, more specifically the mapped layout of Arkham, where the alledged token was being held, she had no desire after all to rush in blindly, in and out is what she hoped.

It was cozy for the most part. Lobo was busy cleaning his brand new rail gun, a gun that shot magnetic artillery with enough power to punch a hole through a boulder. This was a bit on the extreme side but the alien bounty hunter wanted to test it's mettle in the field itself. He was ready whenever Ivy was which he had hoped wouldn't be long. The alien was starting to become a little hungry after having not eaten in days. With living in the desert have drunk, waiting was the last thing on his mind. "Where are we going to make our base of operations?" Lobo asked Ivy. "I'd like some place to set up my gear and bike if you don't mind." A bandolier strapped around his shoulder and chest, he was quite ready to cause some carnage.

Just the thought of blowing stuff and causing mayhem put a smile on the Main Man's face. "You normally do these kinds of jobs?"

”—Oh yes,” her voice sounded out from the other room, ”—The Doctor portion at the start of my real name, could usually dictate I’m a bookworm, and a shut in feeling more comfortable among my beakers and test tubes. But my alias dictates I only have to act that way half the time. Now days you can’t just tap someone on the shoulder to get their attention, but hit them with a sledgehammer across the skull, and you’ll see you have their full attention,” she chimed in that usual sweet voice of hers, while finally emerging from the opposing room, with a few items in hand. ”—I may appear dainty, but I don’t mind having to get my hands dirty from time to time,” she admit, her usual devious rosy lipped smile appearing on her lovely face, as twisted as the vines and leaves that tangled their way through her vibrant copper red hair. When he questioned about a base of operations, she nod, ”—There’s a warehouse about a click away,” ’click?’ she thought, ’Lobos machoness must be rubbing off on me,’ ”—We can set up there, I’d like to use my greenhouse as the last line of defense…though I doubt it will be needed…” after all, she was hiring on the best that money could buy. Tossing the items in a satchel resting along the arm of the sofa, signaling him to follow, she continued on through a set of twin doors, that lead slightly downwards through something that appeared like an underground bunker of sorts, but about the size of a tunnel, they would have walked for what felt like six or seven minutes, filling it with the ocassional small talk, until Ivy finally nod, pushing back a second pair of doors that were hidden behind a length of crates pushed close enough to the wall one would never suspect a secret door unless they thoroughly inspected it, ”—Here we are, the warehouse can be accessed naturally through regular means, those doors on the far room, if we need another way out, the doors we just passed through will be our ticket? Hopefully this will do…its barricaded enough to keep most people out,” assuming he could figure out the details on where he wanted to ‘set things up’ would have even been fine with him setting up at her place, but she wasn’t sure if he would have wanted, or just desired his own private man cave. ”—Is there anything you want to do first before we go out and retrieve the item?” she questioned, even if dining was put into the factor.

"No..This is...spacious." Lobo said looking around the warehouse, it was more space than he needed but still the bounty hunter needed something a little more cozier. "You never did tell me about what you planned to do with this device Ivy. Are you going to build some doomsday device? Take it apart and modify it? Or give it to some evil genius?" All moderately good ideas, but to Lobo he was merely curious. The last thing he wanted was to be double crossed by some green witch not that she seemed capable of doing so. "I'm more than ready to head out when you are Ivy. We can leave whenever you feel the need to." Just to make sure everything was set the bounty double checked his gear. Grenades, Check. Ammo, Check...etc. With everything in place and in order the Czarnian was more than ready to rock and roll. "I wouldn't prefer setting up in the botanical gardens...However, it seems like the first place someone would look for you if they found out about you stealing this....device." He took out his PDA before asking the lovely doctor what the plan was exactly. "Are we going guns blazing? Or is there some alternative into the asylum? Stealth is not really my strong suit due to my...size and appearance." Lobo being stealthy would be like a elephant trying to sneak into a movie theater, it was possible yet high unlikely. The last time the alien tried to sneak around he got caught and almost lost an arm and a leg, lucky for him he lost only a few fingers that grew back with the hour.

Ivy smiled contentedly at all the options he offered up about what she would do with the item, ”—Hmm, all good plans…but no, I have something different in mind,” running a dainty hand through her unruly locks, fingers tangling in the wild roots, she smiled once more, something sweet and savage, like an untamed Garden, as lovely and wild as the woman herself, ”—I have given this city more then enough chances to start taking me seriously, to take my research seriously, but all they see is a psychotic terrorist, a botanist long gone over the deep end, I needed an alternative route to saving this rotten city, to save the only things worth saving…” turning on heel to face Lobo, she confidently lift her head, brazen and powerful, ”—To the outside world, Demeters core is simply a hunk of Petrified Wood with pretty colors, too someone like me…it’s a way to change the entire face of Gotham, and perhaps even… the world,” although she was open to negotiations, after all she did fancy Lobo, and his opinion mattered to her, perhaps if he wanted she could find it in her heart to spare a couple cities. ”—Legend says, it can only be used by someone with a direct kinship to the Earth, myself…namely… I’m assuming the last time it was used was perhaps by Druids, or perhaps if they existed Nymphs…after all it was originally discovered in Ancient Greece.” pausing a moment, she continued on, explaining further, ”—It is said to have miraculous effects in healing the earth, but at a devastating cost. History speaks of a great plague that arrived soon after its use, seeming to stricken humans with strange afflictions, making them appear like living plants, mutating them.” Having given her history lesson, she stated simply after, ”—I know I will be immune to the effects because of what I am, mostly plant…while you are not human, I doubt they had many alien test subjects…so as a precaution before I use the Core, I’ll provide you with a temporary immunity from its said effects,” Ivy speaking as if she knew everything about it, and surely she did, more then any scholar of past or present, it had been a part of her lifes work, and it hadn’t been till recently that she had discovered its whereabouts were so conveniently close. When he decided that he’d prefer to set up in the Gardens, she smiled contentedly, ”—Certainly that can be arranged, we’ll leave this for a secondary escape route then…if needed,” which she doubted. Leading him back the way they had come, she would have directed him off too another of her side rooms apart from the greenhouse, smaller by a great deal, but large enough to house any weapons, hardware, and his bike if he wanted. When he asked what their plan of action was, she smiled that same devious smile of hers, ”—You don’t mind guns blazing do you? In truth I was hoping you could keep the pesky little guards attention, while I run and retrieve the core, when I’m done and have got my little prize, I’ll swoop by and let you know I’m through? Does that work?” she questioned, assuming Lobo would have little trouble with inept guards whose heavy artillery consisted of silly tazers, dinky nightsticks, and pea shooters.
