Anyway, so we have some things to chat about! Hope and I have already discussed a few bits and pieces, but we need more brainstorming! Bar NameWe were thinking something celestial like: Heaven (Welcome to Heaven) The Eclipse Lounge/Bar, Cloud Nine Any ideas? There's not really an area for dancing, but possibly a stage for live music/entertainment, maybe some sort of view or more than one floor. A couple TVs are probably in there, but the place is a lot "quieter" in the morning when Sunny's running things. Think fancy, because FP wants /all/ the class in their place. THIS IS THE THING WE WILL DO I'M REALLY EXCITED

I am so excited, but I deleted that crap because no one wants to hear me scream my head off twice. XD;
I am going to go to bed soon because I have work in the morning, but yeah, we have to figure out the bar name, and then what to do for the opening.
I think we should have an rp where the 4 are getting everything set up for the opening, and an ORP for other phonies to come in on the place's big day. People could order food and/or drinks, but also just become familiar with staff, etc.
Lemon Lime and Candy Cane have to be there for their babies' big day, haha!

OHMYGOD THEY ARE SO ATTRACTIVE TOGETHER. A+!
I like the idea of the place being called Cloud Nine, personally! It's a great name and it's both fun and classy at the same time.
I was imagining it like you said -- a few flatscreens in the bottom floor and perhaps a wall made out of many, many types of bottles of liquor, to showcase FP's talents? Dark wood throughout.
Then a smaller upstairs part is in purples, and that's where the restaurant/molecular gastronomy action takes place.
Then, during the day, the lights come on and Sunny D takes over the top floor and the purples become more lavender-y in the daytime, when the lighting isn't super low, and she can cheer people up and serve them delicious smoothies and food?
I was thinking there could be a main entrance on the bottom floor, especially during dinner rush and evening hours, and a smaller entrance on the top floor (via outside stairs) that's only open during the day? That way Sunny D could have control over the top floor during the day, since breakfast-time crowds are probably smaller.
Does... that make any sense? XD <33; How do you guys feel?

Yes, Atma! That sounds perfecttttttt!
I was thinking yeah, they should probably have 2 floors, so that yes, Sunny can have a whole area to work with upstairs, and Midnight also will have space for his own work. That way FP has the downstairs bar and the stage for live stuff, and PL can easily get in between the two floors, so the place should never really be jam packed since it's spacious.
How am I supposed to sleep when you guys are making me so pumped up? *sobs*
edit: And my vote for the name is either Heaven Lounge or Cloud Nine (could also be Cloud 9). I want to know what everyone else thinks, though. I think either of those names works, because FP wants to run /the best place ever/. Nothing's better than Cloud Nine or Heaven, haha.

I'm not sure I have much coherence in me atm, but everything you guys have said sounds fantastic! Cloud Nine is a fun name, and I like the two-floor plan! Nice big windows on the top floor would be nice, but are not totally required! And events would be so much fun omg.

Okay, let's go with Cloud Nine since that seems to be everybody's vote! <3
I agree with the layout and the big windows upstairs, so I guess we've also gotten that taken care of! That way we know where customers would be located, so any time someone wants to rp in a certain section of the bar, food is upstairs, and evening/night time stuff is downstairs.
As for the Grand Opening rp:
I think we should give FP, PL, Sunny, and Midnight a moment to "get everything set up" first, before they open the doors. That would be the four of them say tidying things up, checking on menus at every table, etc. They can all get out their nervous and excited jitters together, because I would really love to see them all TEAMWORK!!! They're so cute. That could be a prior rp or something, and then we open up another thread that's actually the ORP for everybody to join.
Specific Stuff for the Opening:
-I guess everyone would need a "station" to be at. So maybe FP and PL downstairs, with Sunny and Midnight upstairs? Opening might be midday, that way there can be late breakfast foods and lunch time drinks available at the bar. They aren't restricted to staying there; they can get a small group together and give a tour of the bar or something if you want, it's just that say if someone comes through the upstairs entrance, Midnight and Sunny would be the ones to greet them.
-You can invite other people, obviously. On opening day, people are welcome to hang out, so it's more chill in there than a typical business day would be. Not like, come in and you better order something. Ponies are totally welcome to hang out and chat, and that's always a thing in Cloud Nine. It's supposed to be fun and friendly, so getting to know customers well is normal there.
-Sub note to the above: Maybe we could possibly "hire" some other ponies as waiters/host(ess), or duplicates of our ponies jobs? I mean, PL always wanted to do this, but say she wants to take a day off or something. If the staff got a little bigger, that'd be great. Or at least I think so. That way our ponies don't have to work all day every day.
Those are all my suggestions. Please don't take any of this as "set in stone", this is just my opinion on how things might work at the shop but everyone's input is needed. I just making this all up as we go, I'm not trying to monopolize anything. I wouldn't be surprised if I was over-thinking this, so please tell me if I need to be quiet for saying too much. XD;

Oh, sweet! I'm glad I didn't just imagine that! I would love it if Midnight and Sunny were his bro and sis in law, haha! That'd be the best family owned business ever!
And yeah, I'm exciteddddd. He's going to donate genes to Morning Glory first, but after yes, he and Hydrangea will be walking down the aisle together. <3
