I might be a lazy person, but I'm not lazy to the point of takin' advantage of the system. xd

If I ever get to the point where I can't contribute at all to society, I'll do the evolutionarily right thing and off myself.

Also, I fail to see why any mental disorder is seen as serious, except for those few special instances where someone actually has it. For the most part, people are just a little different, and they gotta find a job that fits their character. For instance, real autism and teachin' aren't exactly the best fit. It can be done, but could require more effort, somethin' you don't seem to be too good at producin'.

All you need is a job that requires less social interaction, or at least not with as many people at once. Easy as that.

Your weird. What do you think I do? I already take advantage of the food stamps system. biggrin

It just pisses me off that people with bipolar disorder can get SSI and not fuciing people with Autism who can't ******** have the power to interact with people and is scared to talk with people in stuff, and engage in repititive behaviors (I AM SURE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED THESE BEHAVIORS WITH ME FROM 2007-2009) AHAHAHAHHA NOW ITS MUSIC

You destroy wonderful things that are meant to help out those who need it. You care only about yourself and ignore all the people you step on to get what you want. It's individualistic thinkin' like yours that makes life such a dreary place.

If everyone just dedicated their lives to helpin' out others, I wonder how the world would be.

New York has state taxes so high, they drive companies away in droves. And the state governor just raised the minimum wage, which means more jobs gone
So, yeah, it sucks here too. Plus, I just graduated from high school and just found out that I have cancer, which means that I can't work
Soooooooooo...
What??? Surely there are some positions you can still do even with that condition. You barely found out so it shouldn't be really bad. - hugs - < ( n _ n ) >
I just don't understand.
the nearest office job is an hour's drive away, if not longer. I can't work because of the location it's at-the mass that's the cancer (Hodgkin's lymphoma) is pushing on my heart and left lung, so I can't do any job that requires exertion, which is about 99.999% of all the jobs around here
It's about 10cm/4" big, and I'm a stick, so while it's already big in the first place, it's pretty much enormous in me
Plus, with the fact that it presses on the veins that transport blood and air between my heart and lungs, it makes me sleepy, and zipping up a flight of stairs leaves me panting. Been like that for years, I'm willing to bet that it's past stages 1 and 2, if not 3 as well
And I'm losing weight fast, something that's normal for me in the summer, but never this much this fast. At the beginning of June, I was about 127lbs. At the end? About 109lbs
My right lung is inflated because of this, the little thingies in the lung on the upper left one are hardening, the fluid between layers of the lung is crazy in the lower left lung, which making laughing, coughing, sneezing, etc. hurt
So, yeah, "it's not that bad" cat_rolleyes
YOU I MEAN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! crying

OH GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I PRAY FOR YOUR SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!! Cancer? It sucks. I am scared that I hace that, like a**l cancer, colon cancer, skin cancer....etc...I am always soo scared in crap with all the drugs i take. crying

But you, you actually have cancer? OH GOD!!!!!!!!!! HOW OLD ARE YOU!!!!!!?????? IF you are young then that is horrible. I am scared that I will die from cancer (the ones I listed above) when I am young. crying I HOPE YOU SURVIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE SURVIVE!!!!!!!!!!! But I fear I have ******** a**l/colon/kidney/etc. cancer in s**t. I hope I dont die. crying I hope you survive. I'm just scared I will have a**l/colon cancer even though they will refuse a test for me until I am ******** 50 in s**t. ******** THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hodgkin's lymphoma has a 90%+ survival rate. A lot of the battle is mental: keep a positive attitude about it (it won't kill me kind of thing), and it'll lose ou o
Hodgkin's pops up between 15-35 year olds, so I'm on the young end, but I'm good o uo
However, chemo's gonna kill my immune system, so all those shots gotten as a kid? I have to get again classified_fu
I haaaaaattttttte needles

Exploitation is why few people should get SSI, and why it is a dying institution...We are not socialists, well..shouldn't be anyway. This is not the USSR. Go and pay your dues like you should.

there's a long way between SSI and communism....

But SSI shouldn't be exploited. It is a godsend when something awful happens and you're out of work for a while. Especially for people in the lower-income jobs; machine malfunction crushes your hand, pallette of materials falls on you, etc etc. And if your work permanently disables you they should pay as much as they can (without going under) of your salary, with the system supplementing it.
Especially with how much their related hospital bills would be...
That said, a person in a wheelchair can work an office job, telemarketing, etc. So to stay on SSI forever is wrong. And pathetic. I don't know how someone could stand to be unemployed for years.

But I'm from a crazy socialist country, anyway. We have social insurance, disability insurance, welfare, and probably several other ways of sponging off the system that gets exploited over and over again, to the point that now the people who really need it are stuck jumping through a dozen hoops before they finally get their first cheque over a month later.

I've known a lot of people not go on EI because they know that by the time they get all the paperwork done and finally get the first cheque, they can find some menial job and pay the bills on time.

And I've also known people to sit on their a** for 6 months and then get some crap job once their free money expires stressed

You better not be a republican capitalist. stare

We should be socialist. So you are saying my friend Richard who is schizophrenic and hears voices and could go crazy any moment shouldn't live in SSI for rest of life? We think that he is going to have to live on it for rest of life, cuz now he lives in a care home in North New Mexico and has SSI and Medicaid that pays for it, cuz he can't handle a real job, well he did work at walmart, but once he starts hearing voices, he could go crazy and scare the customers/workers, so yeah.

But my friends Greg and his wife Jen are on SSI for Bipolar Disorder. THEY are the ones who don't deserve to be on it. Greg owns his own computer repair business, and Jen is a substitute teacher like I am and does better than me, and has worked at walmart for a brief time and they are WAY MORE social and good with people than I am.

Where ME, I am scared to talk with people I don't know, I am even scared to answer my phone, I get nervous. I get nervous when I dial a number to call someone or a place, scared they will be mean. I am scared to go places, fear of making fool of myself. When I have to shout or talk (ex: when I sub), I get hot feeling in face and nervous often, since I am not used to it. I am always scared of random people cuz people scare me. etc...
I'm scared that if I take a job where I have to interact with lots of customers, if they are mean to me or argue with me, I may freeze or not be able to handle it, or they may trigger me to just blurt out a random "******** YOU, YOUR STUPID!" I wonder where that will leave me. I think Austistic Spectrum DIsorder is way more serious than stupid Bipolar, cuz we are bad with interacting with random people, and talking and conversations, where bipolar people are social just fine, they just get ticked off but so may I but they just yell, but I will yell with cuss words and not realize what I did, where they WOULD!!!

What do you think people did who had these problems 300 years ago? It can't be a new problem, and yet, here we are. Apparently they survived without government hand-outs. Amazing? No...

PostPosted: Fri Jul 26, 2013 3:36 pm
I just think it's stupid that Greg and Jen are living on SSI to take care of their baby. It's dumb. They are way more capable of working normally than I am.

I think I have Asperger's that i think is developing into more full blown Autism cuz I do not like strangers or dealing with people. I do not like it. And I do repetitive things. (I'm sure you all have seen this from me from the years 2007-2009). And me thinking I have a life threatening condition does not fair well with people like me.

And apparently the school district doesn't like me, cuz some of the complaints I received that got me put on hold for a ******** entire month, was because I acted weird and different, and made the middle school kids (class I subbed for) feel uncomfortable since I kept looking at them in stuff, and at the preshool at north, they didn't like me cuz I behaved weirdly and differently cuz I talked to myself, and did weird behavioral stuff that made them feel uncomfortable. ******** ADULTS, should be what the students think, not the adults. Cuz the preschoolers liked me. You shouldn't have to go to a job everyday where you have the fear of that SOMEONE may report you and get you placed on hold again, could be ANYONE (usually an adult) and for any reason, you do not know.

But they are the only place that has hired me so far, so yeah.
