he was also dating Shannon Doherty during the time and when she was fired he wanted to leave the show but he had to wait for his contract to be up.

They vanquished him in season 4,but he came back,and then he finally got vanquished officially in season 5 in the episode'centennialc charmed' Also Julian (the guy who played cole) was getting tired of playing the 'badguy' and he was also tired of his character not going anywhere in the plot line...so he left..

all i know is that he is in n**/tuck or was and i dont think he dated Shannen Doherty i could be wrong but i dont think so
Julian and Shannen Doherty did date for a while, I believe it was some time during the filming of season three and perhaps for sometime after. I'm not exactly sure on the when, but I know it happened.

They did both star in a movie called 'Another Day' in which their characters were in love, and a few of the images are from that. But some are from real life: the ones on the beach, etc.
