With the power of the device attached to her, Zoey is able to age objects rapidly. The power is emitted from the gloves in the form of a blue light. Only areas that are engulfed in the light age, so if she were to try and age a table, only part of it would as it is larger then the area of the light. Some examples of what aging an object might do: turn metal rusty and brittle, make a fruit go rotten. The time is takes to age an object with the device is proportional to how long it would take naturally, ex. a fruit would age faster than a metal sheet. She can only target single objects, so if she is focusing on aging a toy and there is a wrench in the light, only the toy will age. This is a safety measure put into the device to keep the user from accidentally aging things they do not wish too.
If the object is aged too long by the device, it will eventually turn to dust.
The device gets most of its energy from Zoey herself, so she can become fatigued due to aging an object. As Zoey becomes better at using the device and gains more endurance, she will be able to use more of its functions, use it for longer, and make the area of the light larger.
When she becomes a sidekick, she'll be able to reverse the age of objects instead of just pushing it forward. Revering the age causes an area of effect, so anything related to the object in its nearby vicinity will age backwards as well. Example: a worn, rusted clock with parts scattered nearby will return to a fully working clock if all the parts are present. Reversing the age of an object takes more energy than speeding it up.
At hero level (or perhaps later in sidekick), Zoey will be able to send blasts of the aging energy so that she doesn't need to be up-close. The power and area of the light will also increase.
