Nicenice. Except that the eyes are scary. But I know that was intentional.

I like it too! Maybe this weekend in my drunkenness at the parade (yes, we have our st. patrick's day parade early), I can take some fun pics to practice editing and whatnot.

Maybe someday I'll eventually get some good photo editing software...

Ok Blossom. I will post a few shots into a thread.

*hugs*

I'm sorry I haven't been around lately. Another car wreck and $2000 bucks in loan later...finally starting to unwind.

Work still sucks...

Anyway on to the new thread.

Jiggy: gonk

I think I might take photos of myself and show them. Ones of me in my uniform, maybe. We'll see.

I'd like to see them, Jay. I think that practice makes perfect, and experience will tell you what will work well more often than not. Also, take a lot of shots and be as dynamic as you can with the framing, etc...and you'll suprise yourself.

The difference between a killer shot and some just good ones is simply a mixture of having a knowing eye and a lot of luck. I used to work as a photographer's model in college, and I dated a guy who was a fabulous photographer as well...and I'd watch him work. Many times he'd take a shot that was supposed to be awesome and it wasn't the winner. The ones he didn't expect to be the best were the ones that often were the most stunning. I have one of them in my room, which is funny because I insisted he take the particular shot. In it, I'm covered in clay, which has cracked and dried, and my hair is matted and looks like field grass...and I'm near a bank of dry grass, facing toward it. The textures run together and make it an interesting play on where nature begins and man ends. Maybe I'll see if I can capture the image and put it up here.

Unfortunately, his ex-girlfriend came back to date him and had him destroy some of the best ones he did in the series because she didn't like that he used me as a subject. *sighs* Remind yourselves one and all, if a person insists you destroy your art, or something that you create for any reason...they don't love you. They might love controlling you, or destroying you but they don't love you.

Gads, I'm such a doofus.

Anyway, his instructor, who was also my primary figure drawing teacher, used to insist that you take as many pictures as you could...because that increases the chances of an great shot, as opposed to good shots you can edit to make fabulous. biggrin

So hop to it, Jay! *giggles*

I know that my photo editing software isn't the greatest (it's MGI Photosuite), but I don't even really know how to use anything other than red eye reductor. I suppose I should practice by just pushing buttons and seeing what happens as a result of that...

Maybe I'll get some good pictures at the wedding this weekend...
