She received a lovely spotted egg as a reward for her efforts in Agate Village. While pleasantly surprised, she is put slightly on edge due to her lack of experience caring for such a delicate object. Duly noting Rem's nervousness, Jaq and Rum rolled their eyes inwardly, together in a rare instance of agreement.
"I have an idea! Since the egg will hatch into a baby pokemon, why don't we set course for Hearthome City? We'll visit the infamous Amity Square. I'm sure it will be perfect for our little baby."Already cooing before the baby is born? Jaq and Rum secretly rolled their eyes again. All sarcasms aside, they are also looking forward to their unborn friend. While they agree Amity Square can do good for the baby, they are also reluctant. Apparently, neither of them are 'cute' enough for strolling in the Square. Which is absurd. How can they make an impression on the little one if they are out of sight? Even worse, what if the baby is not 'cute' enough? ... ...
Regardless, the trio immediately set out for Hearthome City on Rem's Hoverboard.
Beep Beep Beep!It was Rem's SNAG. Pulling up beside a large tree, Rem picked up the call. It was from Team Snagem Headquarters. With sheer coincidence, Rem's next mission will be in Hearthome City, and possibly Amity Square itself. Apparently trainers and their pokemon are being harassed by a group of youngsters in the Square, and are unable to return in fear of their comeback.
Wasting no time, the trio made haste towards Hearthome City.

"It's a group of five youngsters, you say? Don't worry, everything will be alright."Rem consoled a shaken boy whose baby Turtwig was attacked. The Turtwig was left in a terrible state, and it still jitters from anxieties after a visit to the Pokemon Centre. What could have terrified it so intensely?
Jaq, the very curious Chinchou, scooted over to soothe the Turtwig. Turtwig flinched and backed away from Jaq.
"Tura is scared of anything with a crisscross after that day. It's nothing personal."The boy chuckled a little as Jaq looked at Rem innocently, unsure of how he offended the Turtwig. Jaq hopped back onto Rem's shoulder.
"Anyhow, please be careful Rem. Especially of a pokemon named Hal."-------------------------------------------------
No clue of whereabouts of those troublemakers, Rem walked over to Contest Hall to catch up with an old friend from Blue Lagoon. Calsey was a childhood friend, and somewhat obsessive of showing off her Delcatty. A genuinely kind person nevertheless. Last time they talked over the phone Calsey was making great progress in beauty contests.
"Unbelievable!" Rem found her friend with her face buried in her knees just outside Contest Hall. Apparently the youngsters terrorizing Amity Square tailed Calsey and her Delcatty after they fled the Square and kidnapped the cat. Needless to say Rem was shocked, and Jaq also widened his eyes. He befriended the shy Delcatty ever since she was a Skitty. His friend must be so scared.
"Calsey, go back and wait at the Pokemon Centre. I will find Delcatty and bring her back to you."Jaq nodded in unison.
"Thank you Rem. I know you are always the one to count on."-------------------------------------------------
After seeing their friend off, Rem and Jaq now feel much more urgent in finding those youngsters. They rode around the city on Rem's Hoverboard, trying to catching any sign of those trainers. As the day stretched into dusk, Rem and Jaq grew wary.
Suddenly, Jaq hopped off Rem's shoulder and bolted into an alley. Surprised, Rem quickly followed. As the pair took off into dark alleys, the setting sun disappeared into the horizon.
What had Jaq hot on pursuit was a slender
purple tail, with two silver bells. Delcatty was the only one he knew who tied Soothe Bell to her tail instead of her neck.

"Wait. Where have I seen this before?"Rem was still catching her breath after a long chase. They stopped before a large fountain, and Rem was sure she saw the exact fountain before. Jaq rolled his eyes beside her. Amity square. Duh.
The two lost sight of Delcatty, but neither of them knew why the cat was running away from her old friends.
"Where did he go? We must find him soon or else boss will be furious!""Don't worry. He always comes to the fountain around this time. I heard, this was where his previous owner died."Eerie!Both Rem and Jaq stiffened up a little at the prospect of intruding a gravesite. They are crouched behind the fountain, and suddenly they felt like they were being watched. Looking up, they saw a faint purple shadow drifting behind the fountain statue. Rem jumped back as she suddenly saw two gleaming eyes from the shadow.
"We hope you are in safe hands now, Halcyon."
