ENTERING FOR [DOE]
Name: Swirling Waters
Personality: Swirling Waters is eerily calm, often seeing almost empty of emotion. She is not however, taking care of animals over the years has taught her that calm is the best way to approach a wounded or scared animal, and does it almost unconsciously. Affection should only be used once the animal gets used to you, and thus is not needed until then.
Concept: Swirling Waters is a Caretaker. She sees the need for Scouts and their violence, but generally has trouble doing it herself. Her love for animals and all other living things makes even mercy-killings difficult for her. She is best with animals, having adopted a perpetual state of calm that is almost impossible to shake through most acts. She cares much, and while she doesn't participate in scouting activities, she will often come along simply to watch, despite the silent tears that will more often then not fall from her eyes. Kin are the ones she has trouble with, talking with them often leaves her awkward and uncomfortable. She generally leaves their care to others save emergencies. She also isn't very good at cultivation of plants, and wishes to learn more of this so she can better help the tribe.

Name: Sun-kissed Snow
Personality: Sun-kissed Snow smiles. A lot. It's almost impossible you'll see him not smiling. No matter what he's doing you'll likely see a smile on his face. The real difference, however, is whether or not isn't a happy smile. Once you learn to tell the difference, you've truly come to know him.
Concept: Sun-kissed Snow is both a Caretaker and a Scout. He understands the balance perfectly, and while he does not revel in death he deals it quickly and efficiently. He prefers his job as a Caretaker, though he thinks of neither job as being higher then the other. Generally, he works by keeping pests from gardens, or trying to learn the exact nature of cultivation. Right now, he simply does leg work. Digging and moving things around, helping where he's needed. He'll help with any task, though he might decline should it not be for the good of the balance. He may rarely refuse a task he deems himself not suited too, as the knows that an unsteady hoof or an unstudied jaw can easily destroy what it had hoped to create. This is the main reason he does not simply work full time as a Caretaker. He does not think he's very good at it. At least the cultivation part.

Name: True Tested
Personality: Never content with being good enough, True challenges herself to excel in any task at hand, even if no one else will.
Concept: As a scout for the tribe, True takes her duties very seriously. These kin are her kin, her responsibility to protect and serve, as she sees it. Some of the tribe are not made for such a task, not as vigilant or driven as she demands of herself, but then again, that is not their place. Theirs is to be gentle and to care for others with gentle words and careful nudges. Hers is to strike when a blow is needed and to draw blood where blood must be spilled. She doesn't resent the others for their callings, but she doesn't envy them either. She's not meant to be soft, and to that end, she constantly pushes herself, tests herself against any and every obstacle. She could always improve herself. Always.

Name: Beyond
Personality: Perceptive, content, pragmatic
Concept: A Caretaker if ever there was one, Beyond seems to understand balance and always views the forest rather than the trees. Fiercely loyal to the Vale, Beyond also recognizes that life in Matope exists outside of their immediate reaches and views this life with a sort of detached, vague interest -- like, for instance, a stargazer the stars. She is hard-working and quickly sees solutions to problems -- and would give her entire self for the Vale, to take care of her own and by extension, the entire swamp.

ENTERING FOR [BUCK]
Name: Rise Above
Personality: Self-righteous, loyal, competent
Concept: A Scout in the Vale, Rise Above believes he knows what's best and has little patience for those who do not fall in line with what he knows to be true. He wants to do the Vale's work and he wants to do it well, to work hard and to make things better for all life in the swamp. Those who would speak against his mission are deemed low and quickly forgotten. He believes he is marked according to his beliefs -- his hooves and lower body dark to work in the muck of what must be done, but his horns golden to show that his intelligence and vision have truly risen above all else and see clearly what needs doing.

I really love all of them and it was difficult to choose a favorite! I hope everyone hangs on to their concepts because I would love to have some of my kin meet them one day.
