"A 7-year-old husky named "Zander," from Bay Shore, N.Y., was so depressed by the absence of his owner, that he sought the man out at the hospital where he was being treated for a skin condition.

According to Thursday's publication of CBS New York News, last week, Zander managed to sneak out of his home and run approximately two miles to the hospital where owner, John Dolan, had been admitted.

Zander had never been to the hospital with his family, but he somehow was able to make his way, across busy roadways, and streams, to the very hospital in West Islip, N.Y., where his beloved guardian was being treated.

A hospital employee found the white husky outside of the building and called the number on the tag.

Suffice to say, Dolan was shocked when his cell phone rang and he was informed that his dog was outside of the hospital.

Prior to Zander's trek to find his owner, he was so depressed that he was "curled up in a ball and howling.

According to My Fox News, Dolan rescued Zander five years ago. Since that time, the pair have been incredibly bonded, so much so, that Dolan describes the dog to be "like a son."

Nobody is certain whether or not Zander sniffed out his special person, or if he has a sixth sense which led him to his side.

Regardless, Zander's incredible journey is evidence of a dog's unwavering loyalty."
