[PRP] Sister Bonding Moments. (Taigi & Anemy)

Anemy Catori

Anemy yawned and rolled over onto her side. It was suppost to be bed time, what with the sun beginning to shine on the little pup's face and all. Only, Anemy wasn't tired. In fact, she was more awake than ever since she went and overslept again. She needed to go and filter this energy into something productive. Anything would do besides sleeping! Even if it was just running around aimlessly, it would certainly be more fun than sleeping.

This caused Anemy to think about her siblings, how they were all sleeping. She could wake one of them, and then they could play. It depended on who she woke up though, most of them would get angry at her for being awoken when it was still time to sleep. Anemy didn't want that. She was craving attention, and preferably not the negitive kind. So she rolled back onto her stomach and looked to see which of her siblings she wanted to bother the most...

Ah, it had been another fun night. Taigi had explored a bit with her siblings, now that they were getting old enough to wander off a bit further without their father picking them up and returning them to the mouth of their den. All the running and chasing and playing had been rather exhausting, and she was looking forward to a good 'night' sleep. As the sun began to warm the world outside their dark den, she closed her indigo eyes and let out a content sigh.

Taigi hadn't quite fallen asleep when she heard one of her siblings moving around. She peeked to see who it was and wagged her tail as her sister, Anemy, rolled to her stomach and began looking around. Their parents were asleep already if the heavy breathing had anything to say about it, and she knew they were supposed to be quiet, but she couldn't help herself. She crawled over to her sister and bit her ear to get her attention. Lightly, of course.

"Are you not sleepy again?" she asked with a grin. Anemy had a bad habit of sleeping later than the rest of her siblings, and as such was never tired when it was time to go to bed. That wasn't a problem for Taigi, since she loved to play, even if she was tired.

"Not even close." Anemy grinned back at her sister. Looks like she didn't even need to bother rousing someone from their pleasant little dreams after all. And just her luck too, it was Taigi. Had it been, say, Ahote, he probabley wouldn't have been as willing to play with Anemy as Taigi would. This made Anemy's little tail wag.

"Want to go do something?" She asked, though she didn't wait for an answer and simply headed for the entrance of the den. She was sure Taigi would follow. After all, now that they were both awake, who really wanted to give up this oppertunity and sleep? Anemy didn't, and she was confident that her sister didn't want to either.

Taigi tilted her head a bit as Anemy got up. Go do something? It certainly sounded fun, but something niggled at the back of her mind. As she rose to her feet to follow, she glanced over her shoulder at her sleeping family. Hm...dad would probably be nervous if he woke up and found two of them gone.

...oh well! They wouldn't go far. He'd find them easily. Dad slept like the dead, anyway.

"Okay!" she said cheerfully as she followed her sister out. It was pretty bright and she squinted against the sun, whimpering quietly until they moved into the shade of the nearby trees. She pawed at her face for a few moments, rubbing the sting out of her eyes, before she wagged her tail again and bowed towards her sister.

"What do you wanna do?" she asked, ready to run or wrestle or explore. Anything would be fun!

Anemy also found the sun blinding. However she had her head turned away from it so the sun hadn't really affected her eyesight. "Lets..." Anemy thought about a moment of what they could do. She then bent into a playful position and wagged her tail. "Let's go hunting." Anemy had seen all the bigger children try their hand at hunting, so she was compelled to try and snag an animal as well. Even if she wasn't successful at it she could still say she tried. And that was better than nothing, right?

Taigi waited for her sister to respond, and when she did, she play bowed in return. Hunting! That could be exciting. Dad always brought back nice things to eat...maybe they could do the same and surprise their parents. Or at least dad...mom was hard to surprise.

"Yeah!" she agreed with a happy yip. "We can go find something and bring it back for mom and dad! I bed they'd be super proud of us." The question was, though, what could they possibly catch? Birds were too fast, as were the hares that lived in the area. "Oh! Maybe a turtle! They're nice and slow."

They were also very hard on the teeth, but that was okay. Maybe they could bring it back alive and let dad take care of it. Or maybe a butterfly! Those were fun to try and catch. She'd never actually eaten one though...they didn't seem to be something you should eat.

I'm so sorry about the wait! Somehow I didn't get notified of this. But again, sorry!

"Let's go find us a turtle then!" Anemy barked as she ran out into the sun's glare. Usually she would attempt to convince her siblings for them to find something else to hunt (as Anemy prefered to be in control of the situation) but she felt that wasn't required. Taigi had suggested they hunt an animal that the duo could actually catch. Anemy on the other hand might have suggested something... A little more impossible to snag.

Carrying on in present time, as Anemy walked her head was titled up towards the sky. Her dark blue eyes fixated on the white fluffy clouds that wafted around the heavens. She had never seen such a sky... Such a light blue rather than darkened by the lack of light. Yet to feel such a warm sensation on her back that wasn't caused by snuggling with her family at bedtime.

And the sun was so bright! It wasn't just coming out of the den and adjusting to the light outside that blinded them... The sun itself was blinding altogether! Never anything like the moon, or nighttime. So very different, this is what most animals that Anemy had yet to know existed called morning.

"Okay!" Taigi followed her sister happily, glad that they were going on an adventure. She let her tail wag back and forth in the air like a banner, prancing along behind Anemy. She liked that her sister always seemed to know what to do in any situation and followed without fuss.

She paused as she glanced up at the sky, a soft 'whoa' leaving her lips, before dashing up to walk beside her sister. "Do you see how bright the sky is?" she asked, looking up again. Usually it was dark and filled with bright spots. But today it was bright and warm and the clouds were white and...whoa. It was just too weird.

"It's so weird..." She continued to gaze up curiously, "and why's it so warm out?" She asked, althought almost certain her sister wouldn't know. Simply asking for the sake of asking. Besides, she was confident it was the sun that was trying to scorch the earth, thus causing the heat.

"Do you think turtles like to be outside when its hot?" She asked a question that Taigi could give an acceptable opinion on. Anemy for one was having a little bit of trouble adjusting to the heat, but turtles might have an easier time since if they get too hot they could just hide in their shells...

"I dunno," Taigi said, pausing to scratch at her large ear with her hind leg. It felt kind of nice, actually. Her brown fur was helping her stay toasty but not overly so. It was a big difference from the normal chilly evenings. She definitely wouldn't need to stay snuggled up against her sister today!

"Maybe," she said with a nod. "Turtles hide in their shells at night to stay warm so maybe they'll be out and about in the daytime!" She paused to sniff at the ground, tail wagging slowly. "Wow...there's lots of animals that have been around here. They're always sleeping when it's dark out! I wonder what else we'll see other than turtles.'

"Maybe we'll see a monster!" Anemy suggested in playful terms. The heat was starting to bother her less, and she was more focused on making playtime fun. On the subject of what she had just suggested though, Anemy truly doubted monsters were wandering around in the daytime. However, the thought and excitment that accompanied the thought of finding one almost gave her hope that she would.

She paused, losing her train of thought about monsters and becoming more entertained by another thought. She leaned to sniff the ground as well, mimicking Taigi. "I wonder if turtles are really fast in the daytime?"

Taigi lifted her head in thought at her sister's suggestion. She had heard about monsters in stories, but they didn't seem to like bright places. Monsters were usually out when they were awake, and she had never seen one before! She was still young, though, so maybe she'd get to see one by the time she was an adult. She'd have to go out on her name quest after all, so maybe all the monsters lived outside the pack lands.

"That would be interesting...I wonder what their names are like?" she said as she returned to sniffing. "Ooh! Dad said that the big snappy things in the river...the...croco-somethings...move faster when it's hot out because the sun warms them up! It's kinda like their food! So maybe turtles are the same! Their skin is all rough and green like those crocos."

She had only ever seen turtles at night and, when they weren't hiding in their shells, they were very slow. Perhaps in the sun they could run faster than she could!

"Yeah!" Anemy agreed. Turtles were probably as fast as comets in the daytime if Taigi was correct!

She sniffed the ground some more, picking up funny scents, some the scents of her packmates, some that belonged to strange creatures Anemy had seen run across packlands. "I wonder where those turtles are?" She mumbled in a hushed tone, (as to not scare any turtles that were potentially close to her!) Finally, when she was confident that she had found the trail of a turtle she follow the scent.

Walking with her nose sniffing up dirt was unconfortable, but it was making it a lot easier to find her "prey", the scent got stronger the more she followed its trail after all. She lifted her head off the ground, and rose it to look over at Taigi. "I think I found something!" she shouted triumphantly.

Taigi followed her sister, sniffing the places she had already sniffed. She knew not to get in front of her, otherwise she'd get a rather stern talking-to. Anemy was the leader, after all! It would be rude to go in front of her.

She looked up as Anemy spoke and her tail began to wag. "Really? Oh wow...where?" She glanced around, expecting to see the turtle somewhere nearby. Either it was very tiny or she was completely missing it. She trotted a bit closer to her sister, eyes bright with excitement. "Show me!"

Anemy gave yet another cheeky grin, a glimmer of pride found in her darkblue eyes. She turned and nodded her head towards a small collection of rocks laying on the dirt. A puddle was near the rocks, giving information that it had rained recently. "It's over there." She said, again beaming with a sense of accompishment.

Although the pup had claimed to have found a turtle, If one neared the rocks they'd see what Anemy did not. That being; that although there was the scent of a turtle and that its shell was amongst the rocks, the turtle itself was not even anywhere near them!
