In Megaman, there's only one a*****e. He isn't particularly bright, but neither are the people he's trying to beat.
He makes a robot, Zero. Zero himself is a pretty decent fellow, but Wiley puts in either a control chip or just a straight virus. This virus infects Sigma, who becomes an even bigger a*****e. Except he's moderately smart about it.

And I swear, it doesn't end there. There's another a*****e named doctor Wile, who was such an a*****e that a nation of assholes saw him banished. His entire schtik is that he's replaced himself with so much machine that he's immortal, which means that it's entirely possible that this a*****e is the same a*****e, except he now has a reason to be pissed off and is actually doing things right.

I don't understand why. I also don't understand how nobody shot his a**.

The robots with killing potential have guns, though.


And there is no end.

Human rights! Though; when he was no longer human, the bullets didn't seem nearly as effective any more.

Also: From what I remember: Sigma was built as an anti-virus against the maverick virus. A prototype robot named X got infected by the maverick virus, which caused it to mutate. Sigma got infected by the mutated virus as he cured X and turned on humanity. Wily never really finished building Zero before getting himself killed by Sigma.

Some robot at least. I'm not entirely certain whether it was Sigma or Zero or somebody else.
