It was yet another silent day on the plains, yet it was bustling with activity to Reaver. He made one final check on his supplies, unrolled his map, tightened the sheath carrying Justice to his waist, and made sure he was heading in the right direction. He started walking, looking around at what he now thought of as his home. Living in seclusion allows one to see how active a landscape may be without people. If one was quiet and still, they will have seen great feats of strength from ants, intelligent traps forged by the spiders, the careful anticipation of a praying mantis.
Now i really notice how long I have been out here. The young man thought to himself.
I have grown so used to this landscape, to the idea of seclusion, so long that i am having trouble remembering exactly how our society works. Here its what you see is generally what you get, but creatures like us are far more complex. Especially in a city of thieves, but it is where i must go. He sighed, and then said to himself, "There is no use delaying the inevitable. I can't fix my past, but i can't help the future if i am to live among spiders." He stopped and turned around to get one last look around.
With what i plan to do, this may be the last time i ever see this place. He sighed once again, knowing that what awaited him was quite likely to be death. With that in mind he said under his breath, "Best not keep fate waiting", and then set off in the direction of the Thieves haven.
