Overall Location Description

The Firekin own all land northward of, and including, the obtained spring. The region is sparsely grassed and extends into the desert. The Boneland's territory is present to the south and the southeast on the open plateau plains. The spring exists in the eroded section of two plateaus, nestled onto the southeastern side of the canyon. The Firekin outpost occupies the upward side of a cliff-face which leads into the spring's canyon. A few Acacia trees are growing in the dark, red earth around the spring. There are two main trails leading into the protected spring – the one leading from the north is broad and open. The southward entering path is steep, narrow, and can only be traversed in single file.

Treaty Summary

Boneland's members will not assault, bother, or disrupt activity at the Firekin outpost. The Firekin will receive water rights to a year-round spring which they are responsible for maintaining and protecting. The spring now represents the territory border between Firekin and Bonelands. Huria of appropriate age will be trained at the outpost and may choose to join the Boneland's when they are of age. Any Boneland's member may join in training and learning Firekin fighting techniques at the outpost.

Water Rights
Both Boneland's and Firekin members are allowed to utilize the spring. However, the Firekin have established control and may ban any Bonelands member from its use at any time. If another territory attempts to claim ownership of the water source, Firekin members are responsible for guarding their claim. Any water source which continuously feeds into the spring is also considered Firekin property, though the land on which that water flows is not. Local rains do not count as a source. Currently, there are no known above-surface water sources which connect to the spring.

Huria Apprenticeships
Huria will now take their apprenticeships at the Firekin outpost. Other than location, the apprenticeships will continue as they normally would in the center of the pride. Remember, the outpost is Firekin territory, and all members are allowed on its premises. Huria will be allowed to visit the Bonelands and may participate in aspects of Bonelands culture (hunting, helping watch cubs, etc.). This permission to pass is revokable at any time. When they are of adolescent age, and feel they are ready, Huria will have the choice of joining the Boneland's pride. This is not a forced arrangement. The Boneland's pride may also refuse any huria who wishes to join for any reason.

Foreign Training
Adult Boneland's members may participate in practice spars and attend public training exercises held at the outpost. Boneland's members may be asked to leave due to poor conduct, but can not be prejudiciously banned from practicing and learning Firekin techniques. In addition, they may request a more personal guidance from a Firekin soldier. Juvenille aged Boneland's are allowed to seek a part-time apprencticeship of sorts. They would shadow an adult Firekin member in the same way that another Firekin apprentice might and will complete their apprenticeship upon adulthood. However, as they are Bonelands members, these 'apprentices' cannot receive any ranks within the Firekin pride.

Battles can either be 1 v. 1, 1 v. 2, or 2 v. 2. Due to the difference in technique of the Bonelands members, sparring at the outpost is slightly different. Each participant still alternates moves, but lions are not treated equally. Boneland's lions work most effectively in pairs but are weaker than Firekin on a singular basis. Note: You do NOT have to use the rolls below to have a spar-RP at the outpost. If you'd like to simply RP without rolls or determine your own system for win/loss, you're more than welcome to it.

Firekin do NOT have to be sentinels to battle at the outpost! The outpost is a day and a half walk or less, so it is easily visited by all Firekin members.

Single Matches
Bonelands: Roll 1-8
Firekin: Roll 1-10

Winning: After each lion has rolled five times, the lion with the highest score wins the match.

Fighting Pairs
Bonelands: Roll 1-7. The two scores are added.
Firekin: Roll 1-10. The highest score is taken.

Winning: There are two types of pair-battles: 3-move battles and 5-move battles. Both are equally valid. After each lion has rolled three (or five) times, the lion, or pair of lions, with the highest score wins the match.

For all rolls: A Miss is quantified as 1-3, Bide 4-6, Hit 7+; Rolls of 10+ are especially skillful hits: their opponents' next roll takes a -1 to the final score.

Numerical Modifiers: If a Boneland's member has 5 completed battles, they add +1 to whatever value they roll. In order to be complete, all roll-forms must be filled out and the RP must be wrapped. If any lion (Firekin/Bonelands) has won 5 complete battles, they add +1 to their score. No additional points are given for completing battles above the given values.

Invasion
The treaty holds Firekin responsible for the protection of their outpost, however, should the Firekin center be threatened, additional support may be requested. Neither Bonelands nor Firekin are required to answer a request for allied help. A lack of doing so by either party may strain relations between the two prides, but will not break the spoken treaty.

Relationships
All Firekin located at the outpost are still considered Firekin. They must still strictly adhere to Firekin custom and rule. While the Boneland's pride tends to be more leniant towards red pelts within their blood, they still do not consider the Firekin 'proven'. Flings will be viewed in the same light as with any other rogue. Huria who have joined the Bonelands are no longer considered under Firekin law.

In order to maintain peace within the pride, both prides are to send two of their members to opposite prides. These lions will represent their prides in judicial affairs. They are expected to be present at all governmental matters which will affect their retrospective prides. As they will be living in other prides, they will be expected to behave under that prides rules and customs as well as their own. Ideally, Ambassadors are comprised of one male and one female. Ambassadors may receive additional rights or exceptions as decreed by their overseeing pride. Please see your lion's pridal information thread for more detailed information on these specific ranks.

Members of each pride are also expected to treat Ambassadors with respect. Bad blood between prides may result in bloodshed, which would be an unnecessary loss for both sides.

Boneland Ambassadors
- Machozi (Neon Fly)

Firekin Ambassadors
- Su (Kimaria)
