This section is... What Wigglytuff's Guild Is
Wigglytuff's Guild's main composure is based off of the series of Pokemon games : Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Where, there will be a series of teams made up of three competitive battlers each, and a ranking system. The idea is to move your team up to the highest ranks, and to show your prowess in competitive battling along the way. The Battling System and Ranking Systems will be posted in the next two sections of the Introduction thread.

This section is...The RulesThe Rules of Wigglytuff's Guild, are to basically, make sure you have read the Introduction to the Guild [as in all other SubForums], which can be found here, to be courteous to each Team that you may or may not challenge, and to be polite to each respective Team Member, may it be yours or another Team's [i.e. Say, 'good game', after a battle, even if you lose, learn from your mistakes, and try, try again].

This section is...Battling SystemHere I'll be telling you about how the battling style of Wigglytuff's Guild works. All of our Teams run Singles, Launcher Off, with Smogon's Standard Clauses and Uber Tiers, and this applies as Standard Battling. Depending on the current rank of your opponent, the more points you gain towards moving up a rank. There will be twenty ranks, and every new Team will start at Rank One and move their way to the highest rank, Twenty. Each Team will battle one another earning X amount of points based off of rank. Each Team [consisting of three competitive battlers] will battle another Team. X will battle X, Y will battle Y, and Z will battle Z; whichever Team ends up with the most wins, wins the points.
Before I break into giving you all the details about Smogon's rules, I'm going to lay down the most important thing of all when battling here, in Wigglytuff's Guild, or anywhere in the Guild. Do not use hacked Pokemon. Some of us do check for signs of hacked Pokemon in every battle we have, and if caught using hacked Pokemon, you could be severely punished. PokeGen'd Pokemon are only allowed if there are no unnatural changes made, if the Pokemon is, and can be, 1OO% legal, then it is fine, but if, say, a Latios comes in using Fusion Flare, we're going to be suspicious. Trust me, we keep track of these things, and you're better off not hacking in the first place.
Here are all the details for Smogon's rules :Smogon's Standard Clauses of Competitive BattlingEvasion ClauseMoves that boost evasion, such as Double Team and Minimize are not allowed. Abilities that boost evasion such as Snow Cloak and Sand Veil are still allowed. The item Bright Powder is also still allowed. The reasoning behind this is simple. If moves like these were allowed, the game play would be overcome with poor accuracy and would essentially turn into a game based solely on luck.Freeze ClauseNo two Pokemon may be frozen at the same time. There is no move as of current time that solely freezes a Pokemon, therefore this Clause cannot be enforced, but is legible once such a move becomes available. One Hit Knock Out ClauseMoves that cause a one hit knock out, such as Sheer Cold and Fissure are not allowed. Similar to the Evasion Clause, luck should not win a battle but rather strategy.Sleep ClauseThe players may not put more than one Pokemon on the opponent's side to Sleep. The move Rest is not affected by this Clause [Self induced Sleep does not count]. If it were not for this clause, Pokemon like Breloom, Butterfree and Darkrai would run rampant putting everything they see to sleep, preventing the player from essentially doing anything, making a battle unfair, at the least.Species ClauseNo two Pokemon of the same species may be used on the same team. For example, two Gardevoir's would violate this clause, but a Gardevoir and a Gallade does not. This is because teams are suited for countering specific Pokemon only once. A team of Zapdos' would essentially require everyone to have a Blissey. It would destroy the balance of the metagame, and just imagine a team of 6 Arceus, for example.Self Knock Out ClauseIf both players have only one Pokemon remaining in battle moves that knock out the user, such as Explosion or Destiny Bond, are not allowed. If a player uses a move that causes recoil damage such as Flare Blitz ends the game in both Pokemon fainting, the player that attacked LAST is announced the winner. This is largely because the player knows full well before hand that a move like Flare Blitz will have the chance of fainting their Pokemon.Hax Item ClauseThe Hax Item Clause bans Items that increase Hax ratio, for example, a Sniper Drapion, holding Scope Lens will sweep very much. Or a Jirachi holding King's Rock. This Clause bans the use of the items listed here, Scope Lens, Bright Powder, Quick Claw, Focus Band, King's RockSmogon's Uber Tier of Competitive BattlingWhich can also be found here Arceus - Multitype Blaziken - Blaze/Speed Boost Darkrai - Bad Dreams Deoxys Normal Forme - Pressure Deoxys Attack Forme - Pressure Deoxys Speed Forme - Pressure Dialga - Pressure/Telepathy Excadrill - Sand Rush/Sand Force/Mold Breaker Garchomp - Sand Veil/Rough Skin Giratina - Pressure/Telepathy Giratina Origin Forme - Levitate Groudon - Dought Ho-Oh - Pressure/Regenerate Kyogre - Drizzle Lugia - Pressure/Multiscale Manaphy - Hydration Mewtwo - Pressure/Unnerve Palkia - Pressure/Telepathy Rayquaza - Air Lock Reshiram - Turboblaze Shaymin Sky Forme - Serene Grace Thundurus - Prankster/Defiant Zekrom - Teravolt

This section is... Ranking System
In Wigglytuff's Guild, there will be a total of twenty ranks. Every new team starts at Rank One, also known as White Pawn, and will battle other teams to move their way up the Ranks. Each Rank takes a certain amount of points to get to, except for White Pawn, as it is the starting point. The basics are, if you defeat someone in X Rank, you earn X Points, adding to your Point Count towards the next Rank. In the chart, Initial Defeation Loss stands for how much you earn for beating that Rank, regularly. Initial Victory Loss stands for how much you lose if that Rank defeats you. Here is the Ranking Chart :
Rank Twenty - *Checkmate* : 1,000,000 Initial Defeation Earn : 50,000 Initial Victory Loss : -100,000
Rank Nineteen - *Gambit* : 500,000-999,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 25,000 Initial Victory Loss : -50,000
Rank Eighteen - *Black Castle* : 200,000-499,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 15,000 Initial Victory Loss : -20,000
Rank Seventeen - *White Castle* : 100,000-199,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 5,000 Initial Victory Loss : -5,000
Rank Sixteen - *Black Kingside* : 50,000-999,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 2,500 Initial Victory Loss : -2,500
Rank Fifteen - White Kingside : 40,000-49,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 2,000 Initial Victory Loss : -2,000
Rank Fourteen - Black Queenside : 30,000-39,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 1,250 Initial Victory Loss : -1,250
Rank Thirteen - White Queenside : 20,000-29,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 1,000 Initial Victory Loss : -1,000
Rank Twelve - Black King : 15,000-19,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 625 Initial Victory Loss : -625
Rank Eleven - White King : 10,000-14,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 500 Initial Victory Loss : -500
Rank Ten - Black Queen : 6,000-9,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 400 Initial Victory Loss : -400
Rank Nine - White Queen : 3,500-5,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 250 Initial Victory Loss : -250
Rank Eight - Black Knight : 2,000-3,499 Initial Defeation Earn : 150 Initial Victory Loss : -150
Rank Seven - White Knight : 1,000-1,999 Initial Defeation Earn : 100 Initial Victory Loss : -100
Rank Six - Black Rook : 500-999 Initial Defeation Earn : 50 Initial Victory Loss : -50
Rank Five - White Rook : 300-499 Initial Defeation Earn : 40 Initial Victory Loss : -20
Rank Four - Black Bishop : 150-299 Initial Defeation Earn : 30 Initial Victory Loss : -15
Rank Three - White Bishop : 50-149 Initial Defeation Earn : 20 Initial Victory Loss : -10
Rank Two - Black Pawn : 10-49 Initial Defeation Earn : 10 Initial Victory Loss : -5
Rank One - White Pawn : 0-9 Initial Defeation Earn : 2 Initial Victory Loss : -1
**Can only be challenged by Teams Ranked Fifteen and above
You can defeat Teams up to a maximum of eight Ranks higher than your own. You also may not challenge Teams ranked fifteen and above, unless your own Team is also Ranked fifteen and up. Depending on how many ranks above your own the Team you challenge is, becomes the initial Defeation Earn multiplied by .5 Here is the higher rank earning chart :
Formula for Higher Ranked Defeation : Exp = 1 + (0.5X) X = Amount of ranks higher than your own
Higher Rank Defeation Earn... One Rank Higher : Initial x1.5
Two Ranks Higher : Initial x2
Three Ranks Higher : Initial x2.5
Four Ranks Higher : Initial x3
Five Ranks Higher : Initial x3.5
Six Ranks Higher : Initial x4
Seven Ranks Higher : Initial x4.5
Eight Ranks Higher : Initial x5
On the other hand, you lose points by being defeated by another rank lower or equivalent to your own, unless you're at Rank One. If you cannot afford to lose the points, your point count drops to zero, rather than hitting negative numbers. Depending on how much lower ranked your opponent is, the more points you lose. If you lose to a rank lower than yourself you will not lose the amount of points for their level. You will lose the amount for your level plus the multiplier. Here is the Point Loss Chart :
Formula for Lower Ranked Victory : Exp Lost = 1 + (0.75X) X = Amount of ranks lower than your own
Lose to Checkmate* = -100,000 Lose to Gambit* = -50,000 Lose to Black Castle* = -20,000 Lose to White Castle* = -5,000 Lose to Black Kingside* = -2,500 Lose to White Kingside = -2,000 Lose to Black Queenside = -1,250 Lose to White Queenside = -1,000 Lose to Black King = -625 Lose to White King =- 500 Lose to Black Queen = -400 Lose to White Queen = -250 Lose to Black Knight = -150 Lose to White Knight = -100 Lose to Black Rook = -50 Lose to White Rook = -20 Lose to Black Bishop = -15 Lose to White Bishop = -10 Lose to Black Pawn = -5 Lose to White Pawn = -1
*Exp lost = 1 + X
Ex: rank 7 vs rank 3 will not lose 10 points. They will lose 100 points plus [1 + (0.75 x 4)]
