Does anyone else use a tarot deck? I do and I think it's helpful when looking to organize yoru thoughts.

Yup, I do. I have Fairy Cards too. They are very useful, to me anyway, and I use them often.

I have the Celtic Dragon Tarot, and it is very useful. I use it frequently infact. It is the only thing magickal that I concult on a regular basis except for my many books.

i took my tarot cards on a school trip so i could do a reading for myself in the evening and all my friends wanted it done!!!! I did one for my art teacher ( for free of course i NEVER charge) and i said that she would sort out her finances and her life would sort it self out aswell. 2 months later her divorce come through and she recieved a large unexpected some of money and switched banks!!!!
I started tarot first and that was how i first got into wicca.

I used to know a lot of people that were into Tarot, but then I moved and now I don't know anyone that isn't scared of all things Wicca... I always use mine when I have a big decision to make! I don't want to inadvertantly screw up my life...

I have a tarot deck and I use it a little but not very much. If I had time to learn all the cards I would. Unfortunatly I don't.

I'm reasonably good with tarot but my mom found my deck and burned it after my school called her saying I was practicing witchcraft on school grounds. Second time it happened with my second deck, they accused me of gambling.

I have a regular tarot deck.
It's my first one but works well.
I'd say find a deck you are comfertable with and use the style of readings you think fits you right and is the one that comes the most natrualy to you.
That's what I do and I have hardly gotten any false results yet. 3nodding

I find people take tarot too literally but because of the ambiguity of the cards, people will tie them to whatever events actually happen. I have as of yet to get the "a man will come into your life, he will be tall, dark and handsom, his name will be Juan, he will sweep you off your feet and then turn out to be a real jerk that mooches your groceries" card (and I hope that I never do).
I agree with what LoneWolf said though, that they are helpful when looking to organize your thoughts. You know more than you think about your life, the directions you are heading what kind of problems you'll face. I think that using tarot helps you think and put things in contexts that you wouldn't otherwise (where you are more likely to worry not constructively think) It also helps you deal with allll the information in your head that may be overwhelming when you try to think about it because you don't know where to start and there are too many connections to hold in your head at once; as you think about how each card relates to your situation and to each other it puts all the information into place in a way that is much easier to understand than the chaos in your head.
I do have a tarot deck but I also have used decks of regular playing cards. 3nodding

Alot of people told me not to use tarot cards, but i do. My goddess deck has helped me organize my thoughts more than once heart

I love my tarot deck it is the most wonderful thing i have. It's beautiful i use the brian froud faeries deck ( note sure on the name) But it's great.
