I saw the ninja headband was way inflated today, 180K to be exact, so I decided I'd deflate it, so I got it to about 140K before I started getting PMs from the other people selling the ninja headbands to sell mine for alot more, asking me to help them inflate thier money. Saying things like, oh you'll make more money, and it's better for most of the people on gaia, I would have answered back but I'd rather not make enemies. Anyways, my point is, maybe we should keep track of who these people are, so that people can keep an eye on them and what-not.

Perhaps someone ought to suggest in the feedback forum that such a blacklisting feature was available! Anyone on your ignore list cannot buy items from you in the vend.... or something like that.

I don't think that would float, most people want money, regardless of whom the buyer is, friend or foe.

Maybe L.A.I.D should start buying off MP, and selling in the only place we have control the exchange, soon people will realize how low they need the prices, so when they buy our product they sell it for cheaper, but still Good enough to make a decent profit

I'm not sure, but isn't it a bit mean of us if we announce the names of those who inflate the items? ^^ I mean, it would lead to a lot of harrasement towards them from mad peoples questing and such. Maybe we should just keep the list inside of the guild. 3nodding

Well it's a bit of an odd thing to do..
If we keep their names, by all eternal right, they could report us for using their usernames in a bad way. sweatdrop
And as for the ignorelist not being able to buy your items, that's kinda pointless since, admins would never do it cuz they don't want to EVER manipulate the item prices. confused

I don't know if it's because I'm partially drunk at the moment, or if it's because it's late...or maybe a combination of both, but the next time I make a thread in the Exchange I'll just be blacklisting people who try to inflate stuff or simply attempt to rip me (or others) off. And this thing is permanent. They could equip Bibles and I still wouldn't take their names off.
I will reject ALL trades from those people, ignorelist, them, and basically warn people about the list, not necessarily those on it. domokun
@ DJ: They can't report you if you just don't want to associate with them. It's not a bad way, it's just a public list of people that you refuse to listen to or do business with.

I agree with godsend and blueberry, I like those ideas. Especially godsends, because if we do sell them for cheaper in the exchange it will atract vend whores and exchange whores, who often sell things for below the lowest in the MP but still making a profit, if they're smart they'll stay a bit below the MP because things will sell faster. Thus, it would slowly deflate the items.

I recall a list like it once somewhere before... but I don't know if it is permitted on gaia since it could be considered harassment. Perhaps, if we took that road, we should first ask permission?

The tos states that you may not Collect or store personal data from other GAIA Online Users. If you make a public blacklist there could be possible repurcussions and or bannings, if those individuals were to complain.

I already keep a black-list with user ID numbers, so that even if they were to change their names, I know them. I also try to keep track of their known mules and what not. This is for my personal use, so that I know who not to sell to.
There was a GEPD Black-list a long time ago. I do not know what happened to it. Gaia Exchange Police Department, I believe. It also used to be a sticky.
