When Protega had fled and Akito had given the order to leave, Xemnas narrowed his eyes for a moment before shrugging and turning to his fellow Nobodies. In an instant, he had ordered each of them to leave. Upon looking at Marluxia, Xemnas grinned. "You and Vexen should pick your team and return to Castle Oblivion. This time however, you will do as ordered. If you attempt to betray me, I will know Marluxia, and you will suffer the consequences. Not only will that Heartless be checking up on you, but I will as well." With a smirk, Xemnas opened a Dark Corridor of his own and stepped through it, vanishing from the Bailey.
Stepping out of the Dark Corridor, Xemnas stood upon the Altar of Naught, staring up at the cold, night sky. No stars were shining, and Kingdom Hearts was no longer in the sky. A frustrated sigh escaped him as he glanced around. He fully expected Saïx to show up and question him, or even request orders at any moment, but right now he just didn't care. Staring up at where the brilliant moon once stood, shining down on the Castle That Never Was, Xemnas held out his arms as if expecting to be embraced by a long lost friend. "Oh Kingdom Hearts, how I regret not succeeding. We in the Organization need you. I promise that we will restore you once again, and we will never let any harm befall you. You will be whole again, and with your help, we Nobodies will gain the power we desire! I am anxious to get started, but we need our rest for now. Tomorrow, we will begin our plan all over again." Clenching his right hand into a fist, Xemnas grinned. No matter how long it takes, this time we will succeed!
