[PRV] Leopard, leopard, in the trees... (Sayen/Tue)

Drops of water dripped from the leaves of every jungle tree and plant. Sayen silently stalked through it all, keen eyes on the constant lookout. Green orbs soon landed on a bongo, nibbling on some daytime flowers. While she knew they were mostly nocturnal, the leopardess had also learned in her life that now and then, one would do some diurnal grazing. Some just preferred the day to the night, and were certainly not the NORM, but they were still a sight to spot in a world that was dominated in rich greens and the grays, blacks, and browns of the earth and wood.

The bongo looked up for a moment, then returned to its grazing as Sayen moved closer. Somewhere, birds were calling out to each other, and then the whoop and holler of old-world monkeys(Whatever that meant, but it's what Nava called them) followed. The din was welcome as Sayen took a moment to move into pouncing range. When she was close enough, the leopardess jumped, the leaves barely rustling as she flew through the air. The bongo realized she was there just in time to try to bolt, only to have claws dig into its back and the leopardess climb up it. Sayen may well be a chief, but she wasn't about to be a royal who did nothing. Her lips curled back as she roared, moving to sink her teeth into the larger animal's neck to kill it.

Tue was running on the forrest floor. He had been in the temple resting, but when he awoke he found that all he wanted to do was run. When he was a cub all Tue could do was run around and climb things. His parents didn't know what to do with his endless energy so they always sent him away to try and burn off some of the extra energy. Sadly this didn't help much, because he would always return to them just as hyperactive. As he grew up his energy just multiplied. He never walked, he ran. Even when he talked it was quickly. Tue knew that if he really wanted to he could settle down, but why ruin his favorite trait?

Being a hunter was the perfect job for him, at least he thought so. He was free to run around and hunt all he wanted. It also meant he was out of others way and no one else would slow him down. As he ran he noticed an orange-ish brown leopardess who he recognized as the chief. He watched her as she took out the bongo. It was nice being in a pride where everyone helped. From cubs to even the chiefs. He kept a fair distant from her as he came to a stop.

"Good catch Chief Sayen!" He exclaimed with a grin. He would be sure to find his own prey to hunt down and bring back to the pride.

As the bongo went limp with death, another leopard approached and called out to her a congratulations. Lifting her head, Sayen licked the blood from her maw as she took in the sight of the other leopard. Ah, one of the new faces. She somewhat recognized the orange leopard, and it brought a small smile to her face. It did well to hide the frown, because she knew faces just a bit TOO well. With so few of them, it was easy to keep track. This one, as she recalled right, was a runner at heart - She'd seen him run a lot, at least, and he always seemed in a hurry to get nowhere. Very active, to put it simple. "Thank you... Tue, was it?" She took a seat, motioning to the bongo. "Hungry? I don't think Nava and I could eat this whole animal alone..." Indeed, a bongo took at least four leopards to eat it all with only bones to spare. If someone was REALLY lucky, they could crack the skull and get the brain, but most settled for the tongue. Far less effort, after all.
