College. A dream come true for many students. Here they get the opportunity to better themselves and eventually earn their way to getting great jobs and great lives. The professors are often funny, smart, and very entertaining. [X] had always loved his classes but something this semester made him love school even more. You see he has taken up a mythology class and his professor... Well... [X] has fallen head over heels in love with the man. But who can blame him?The man is intelligent, entertaining, gentle, and understanding. Not to mention he's got the looks to bring the heavens to their knees. But of course his professor can't return this love even if he wanted to. What would happen if anyone found out?

Name: Dante Silver Age: 27 Likes: Writing, Reading, Classical and/or relaxing music. Dislikes: Having people argue with him, annoying students. Personality: Charming and slightly seductive but usually is very calm, quiet, and even tempered. Biography: Dante was raised in a Christian family with Christian parents, Christian, siblings, and pretty much Christian everything else. Having a life of his own seemed impossible when he was young. His parents wanted him either to be a doctor or to study to be a priest and eventually a bishop. That was not in Dante' plans though. Since he was little he always had a talent for writing. In his college days he decided to study the humanities and eventually graduated and got his masters. After he began to teach at a community college before getting his doctoral and finally was hired by a very prestigious university to teach a mythology class along with a creative writing class and a film study class. His students have always adored him; some a little too much. However he has never had any problems with any of them. Seme, Seke, Uke?: Seke

"And what would any of you say the difference between the Eastern and Western view oft he dragon myth is?" Dante's voice was loud and powerful. He had to be as such to keep the attention of at least half the class. It was early in the morning for most. At times even for him. However he had no choice but to teach the classes when they were scheduled. At least this way he could finish up early and then leave.
He gazed back at the faces of his students and he sighed seeing the blank, zombie-like expressions. "It's too early isn't it?" he asked with a smile and a shake of his head. He walked back to his desk with the book in hand and then sat. "All of you know that I have no problem canceling class right now. Problem is you'll have to go over the entire chapter on your own and I'm pretty sure the majority of you won't pass a test afterwards if I give it to you."

[[[OOC: Sorry, I didn't realize you had posted >.<]]] Ryan shifted in his seat nervously under the gaze of his favorite teacher and - lets face it - love of his short life. He didn't want the class to be over already, although he already did read the chapters on his own because he could barely focus in class. He wanted to stay in the company of his professor for as long as humanly possible. But he was just too shy to raise his hand and answer, though he knew it. After a long, hard battle with himself, he finally raised a shaking hand, praying someone else would intervene before he was called upon.

Dante glanced up and caught Ryan raising his hand. "Well Mr. Wood. Are you raising your hand or what? If you have the answer I'm sure your classmates would be more than thrilled to hear it since it seems the rest are all dead this morning." Instantly all eyes were on Ryan and they all waited in silence for him to answer the man.

Ryan squirmed under the attention of all the students and took a deep, quiet breathe before delving into an explanation. "There are many differences in the myths surrounding dragons in Eastern and Western areas. To begin with, there are the forms they take." Ryan began, quickly getting into the rhythm of information that he had stored away and forgetting he was speaking in front of the class. "While Western dragons are winged and have long legs but a short body, Eastern dragons are long in body and short in legs with no wings whatsoever. Once that difference had been covered, one can move on to their temperaments. Western dragons are known to dislike people and cause them trouble, while Eastern dragons are friendly and have been known to help humans. Where Eastern dragons are teachers, Western dragons are troublemakers." Ryan finished, coming back to himself and realizing he sounded like an obnoxious know-it-all. He ducked his head bashfully and looked up at the professor nervously.

Dante nodded in approval and then put up two different images on the large projection screen. "As Mr. Wood as explained for us there are both great physical differences between the two beasts as well as differences in the mythologies. Dragons in the east are at many times revered as gods or guardian deities. Dragons of the west are those typical savage fire-breathers who knights must slay. The thing is though that the mythologies of those dragons have changed quite a bit in modern times. We see children's shows portraying western dragons as being allies of humans and friendly or tameable. Eastern dragons are also shown to take great positions of power where they defy humans and battle with them. However that is only as the west sees them. In the east the mythologies have not changed much at all." Dante switched to the next slide which had some notes for them to take. "Let me make this clear for you all. I am using dragons as an example because it is the easiest to understand. However mostly all mythic creatures have a variation of characteristics in different myths from all over the world." Dante gave them a moment to copy down the notes before he continued. "I'm going to show you a film that will cover quite a few beasts and their differences in mythologies. The next class I will be giving a quiz so you'd best take notes." He then turned the lights on leaving only a dim light so the students could write and then he played the film. It took up most of the class but they were able to finish it in time.

I'm really sorry to drop both of our rps, but alot of things have come up in real life and I am no longer able to do most of the rps I'm involved in. I'm really, really sorry.
