GHOST-MAN-LEVEL 1 (failed)
All that Pepin had heard about the upcoming Scarentines' dance was that it was happening and that she plugged it only briefly in her latest Paranormal Post. The glitch ghost was by no means a romantic and even the sappy theme of Scarentines' just bored her to death. At least with prom it was a big gala usually flooded with the loudest music and the flashiest of outfits. Scarentines was just hokey. (Tell that to a certain lovestruck half beast!)
In fact the only thing that resembled any effort put forth into getting fancied up was added curls to her hair and an 8-bit heart "tattooed" on her shoulder. Pepin figured this was enough to get her to the dance floor for a little bit of shuffling. However there was something unwelcoming about the reds and pinks of the auditorium. The satin and candlelight should have been sequin and strobelight but she wasn't about to complain. Not when she knew that Miss Riley, Junko, and the others worked really hard to put it together.
Technology knew no love. To Pepin it was all about the surface quality. Respectfully, she hovered to the auditorium with a smile plastered on her face. What she assumed would be a quick in and out turned itself suddenly when she saw him.
Tall, shiny, handsome. It'd been a while since she'd seen a man like that.
Quickly the glitch fumbled her way over with weak knees, leaning up against the frame of the scarecade machine. Sure they had one of these in the school's reclusive scarecade but this one... this one they must've gotten on special order. He was a classic. An older boil, but she liked that. Giggling shyly she twisted a finger in her hair and floated up to sit on the paneling for the controls.
"Do.... do you believe? In fate?" she cooed before turning around and leaning forwards with her face rested on her palms. "How else could we have met in a place like this?" as she asked before the game responded. (as ready for her to begin playing) Tickled, Pepin let her feet now rest on the floor as she prepared to engage herself with the scarecade machine.
Miss Molyneau had herself a real challenge on her hands, finding herself caught so quickly on level one. 'Blushing' a darker gray, she watched the game tease her with a 'Game Over' screen.
"Playing hard to get eh?" she sneered and stepped back. "That's okay. We've got alllll night." With a wink, the glitch ghost went on to find other things to pass the time with.

West hadn't planned on coming. His first experience with a dance at this school had involved purchasing a ghoul and dancing with other ghouls, while his second had involved feelings and Holly, two subjects he didn't really want to think about in the same sentence at the moment considering how... weird he had been feeling lately. He hadn't seen the fox ghoul since he had helped her with her acting homework. He wondered if she would be here tonight. Levi, too. The tatzel had said she would be, but West hoped wondered if she would actually show up, new dress or not.
Jackdammit.
Despite his reluctance, something had gotten him out of his room today. Something had sparked his interest strongly enough to get him looking through an old trunk for appropriate clothing, ironing said clothing, putting the clothing on and making his way to the auditorium. Surprisingly, it wasn't the food this time. It wasn't the games either, but those were the first things that caught his eye when he entered the room. Good. Playing games didn't usually require thinking about real life.
He peered nosily at each game as he passed, finally choosing the completely awesome Whack-A-Hunter. West could do that. He couldn't imagine sucking at this game. The boil picked up a mallet and set his mind to whackin'.
When the Hunters finally stopped popping their cheery little human heads out of their pansy holes, West looked up from the beating he had been administering. Nine. Hm. He could do better. Maybe later.

Hel, oddly enough, did not wait for Mot at the dorms, and this was for quite a few reasons. Liiike…it was his birthday! She didn’t need to hover over him when there were probably others who wanted to wish him happy birthday as well. Because it was his birthday too…well…Hel would spread to the word to their friends! Other reasons Hel did not wait for Mot included that uh…she was dressed rather uh…ghouly right now…and maybe she was a wee bit anxious. Just a wee bit. Not too mention her heart kept doing the craziest things whenever she thought about him or even saw him.
The valkyrie decided that some stress relief was in order…and what better way to do that than to whack some false reapers.
The ghoul strolled up just as a certain Wrath demon seemed to stroll away, and she grinned widely as she looked the game over. Before she got into it though, she also happened to catch sight of a familiar face. “…Ah, Levi! Good to see you friend, you look beautiful!” The ghoul cried, waving at the tatzel, beckoning her over. A grin crossed her lips as she drew closer. “…This looks pretty good as well, ya?” She gestured to the whack-a-hunter, and never one to miss out on a competing opportunity offered, “Let’s make it a battle, eh?” Picking up her mallet and sporting her game face, the reaper went to town on it.
Afterwards, she passed the mallet off to the tatzel.
“Show me what you can do, friend!” The reaper was pretty proud of herself…9 was her favorite number!

It was a hope concern of Levi's that the wrath demon might/might not appear. After what she'd done, the ghoul couldn't help but feel it would be a small insult if he didn't. Those spookies took her time and effort, dangit. In any case, Lizzy had graciously made a dress for the tatzel and she was sure as hell going to wear it to this school festivity. It was both to respect the demoness' work as well as show her support to those she knew worked hard on the event.
Now dressed appropriately, Levi found herself in front of the games first. With some luck, she happened to catch the valkyrie playing a game that looked rather amusing. Aye, Hel! Yer lookin' mighty purdy yerself! Just lookit'cha~ Levi had a bubbly feeling in her gut; normally, this didn't happen, but she felt honestly interested in how pretty Hel looked right now. Hmm... reckon thi'd be somethin' fun. LET'S DO 'IT! Smack things with large hammer? A challenge you say? Sure thing!
Levi watched Hel have at the tiny figures, excited to have a go herself. Yeeeehaw, Hel! Atta ghoul ya give 'em heck! Determined to take up the mallet and give it her all, a glimpse of someone with horns decorated by dark pinkish hair took her focus away from the beginning of the game. Uh-oh... that tiny voice was coming out again...
You should tell him he looks sleek. Doesn't he look sleek? Go on and tell him. ❤
Levi's tail was the only indication that she was still mobile- the rest of her was still. Her hand held the mallet in mid air and her eyes went wide. ACK-! DANGIT! Right! The game! The tatzel was so late to the actual whacking that she only managed a measly 4 little hunters bashed. Clearing her throat, the ghoul sheepishly looked down at Hel. Eh- ... thought I saw somethin'. But it don't matter none. It's gone now. She did... maybe; knocking her off her game was unacceptable, however. She'd try to keep close to the valkyrie and avoid further glances at the boil while challenging. Absolutely unacceptable.
Try ya 'at somethin' else, eh? She smiled, trying to mask any straying thoughts.

Ordinarily, Xiu probably would have passed on this game--she just wasn't all that great at speed-related games like this one--but when she noticed that the targets were Hunters, well...really, who could resist? For once, it didn't take her any convincing to get her to step up to the machine, pick up the mallet, and start whacking away.
Eight! Considering how she usually failed at these types of things, she really didn't do all that badly. Sure, she had missed half of them, but heck! She had kind of expected that she would miss all of them! Not to mention that she had managed to hit the scythe-wielding hunter...
...And that was all that mattered.
Satisfied, she put the mallet down and moved away from the machine for now. Maybe she would try again later.
