With light footsteps Marceline made her way along a path of rocks that stood in the middle of a moderately fast paced river. Her tail moved with each step, helping her keep her balance as she walked. She was certain she could make her way through the river just fine, but she felt no desire to get wet at the moment. The wind was far to cold for that due to the season. "Ah!" She almost yelled with wide eyes, her cloven hoof slipping on a small ice formation on one of the rocks.
A sigh of relief escaped her when her hoof was planted safely back on the rock. "Must be careful." Marceline said to herself with confidence. Thankfully the last couple rocks posed no danger and her way across them was met with ease. It was times like this that she thanked moss for growing on formations such as rocks and tree's. It made the winter months much easier as one could step on the moss and evade ice. And when it mattered, one could look at it for guidance in which direction they were heading in.
With a smile she trotted happily along the river, staring down her past enemy. "I crossed you're path without so much as a drop of water landing on my coat." Marceline boasted. Not that the river would respond. But it felt good nonetheless to achieve something as simple as this.
